MCU won't make a movie like this again and if they do it will be a miracle.
Miracles don't exist unless you can buy them. If Disney can get money for it, they might but they're not that brave nor are they that bright anymore.
Nowadays they play their products to soft that either the characters becomes Tony Stark wannabe, a cocky person that quips every few seconds, or just the dumb version of their source material or their pervious arcs/story.

If you notice, Bucky says “I’m gonna miss you, buddy” and was happy for him, he said that because he knows what Steve is gonna do, they most likely had a chat before this, and Bucky choose to stay in the future because he knows deep down that he doesn’t belong in the past, he’s grown too much ever since he’s woken up at the end of The Winter Soldier, and Civil War, while Steve has always, ever since he got out of the ice, had been stuck in the past, he missed everything, missed Peggy, and it’s his biggest regret.
Never getting a chance to live that life he so desperately wanted. No amount of living in the future was ever going to make Cap let go of that desire to return home. Because as Cap said he can’t move on, and he especially couldn’t move on from Peggy and getting to live a life with her.
So Steve left and Bucky stayed because the 1940s isn’t where Bucky belongs anymore.

And I like how Cap responded by saying “I can do this all day”, reflecting on what happened in that alley, comparing Tony to that stupid bully, and showing how powerful a true best loyal friendship is. Bucky saved him in that alley and now Cap would gladly do the same thing for Bucky in the same situation. Best friends don’t leave each other. They fight together till the end of the line. That’s certainly another level of power to me. 😍😍😭😭 And it kinda shames Tony that if he valued his friendship with Cap, he should have listened and believed when Cap said Bucky was innocent all along, instead of choosing anger over reasoning.

Bucky may not have liked howard, but definately saw him many times. Also bucky was brwinwashed merely hours before the cap fight. It even showed that. You can see in Tony’s face after he hit him with the shield he really thought cap was going to kill him. He lost all trust in cap and that just kills you emotionally.. there was no winners in this movie. And this is why it’s my favorite out of all them. I wish they make them like this again

To be fair in John Walkers case, his best friend actually died and he wasn't facing someone who had saved millions like Tony, in front of him was a man who helped kill heaps of people and his best friend and partner

When you realize the phrase wasn't just directed at Infinity War, it was also at the beginning. The moment they truly lost.
I love the symbolism in this scene. Steve breaks the helmet off of Tony's suit forcing him to face his friend, not the mask. He ends the fight not looking at Iron Man, but at Tony. He uses a scratched- or flawed- shield to disable the reactor, and when he starts to walk away, and Tony turns, all the glass falls out. The sound of the glass breaking off of what symbolizes Tony's heart, which was just broken by a damaged shield, the most defining part of Captain America. And then when Steve drops the shield, the camera focuses on the scratches, not the undamaged side. He's still... basically the same person, but 'scratched', in a sense. And of course, the shield is vibranium- indestructible; it shouldn't be possible to scratch. Captain America stood for what was right; it shouldn't be possible for someone like that to do this.

To me Tony and Steve were both right and wrong in this movie.
Steve was correct when he said “the safest hands are still our own”; the Avengers should have their own autonomy and be able to decide where to go. Steve was wrong when he basically refused any input/intervention from the UN/world leaders/other governments.
Tony was right when he said “without limits, we’re no better than the bad guys.” They needed to follow some sort of rules/protocols. Tony was wrong to surrender their independence. I haven’t seen this movie in a long time so maybe I’m forgetting something? Either way I don’t like it when the heroes have to fight each other. Still a great movie

If the woman who confronted stark at the university speech has confronted Steve instead he’d have thought the same. Also during the civil war fight at the airport Steve’s team where fighting to kill all iron man wanted was for Bucky to face the music (he was brainwashed I get that and that would’ve been brought up during a trial or whatnot) imo the fans who watched it and took Tony’s side are the right ones. Cap on the other hand is a soldier who understands the consequences of war and conflict very well. But he also realises that casualties are inevitable. Their job is to eliminate the threat while also saving as many people as possible, but that doesn't mean everyone. It's not possible to save everyone; if they tried to save everyone they wouldn't complete their objective and everyone would've died anyway as a result. But the Avengers cannot be blamed for the casualties, because without them it would've been far worse. In fact, the entire planet would've been destroyed by Ultron.

Such a great fight. No one was right here. Cap withheld a dark secret, even if he didn’t know for sure that it was Bucky. Tony reacts emotionally and tries to kill a man who was essentially innocent. Cap is stuck living with the consequences of that just trying to keep his best friend alive.

I understand Caps love for Bucky, and why he stopped Tony from killing him. Bucky was there for him when nobody else was. When he was beaten up in alleys, picked on for his size, needed a friend, Bucky was the ONLY one there for him, and it’s only natural for him to protect him from being framed and almost killed.
It's his last friend from his era too. He could never relate to any of the other Avengers in that way. That's why Bucky was his best friend. And he couldn't save Bucky from the train the first time Bucky died, so of course he fought hard to save him this time.
That moment where tony blocks his face is incredible. We know cap wouldnt, but tony doesnt, because he was so close to trying to kill cap himself, in that moment he thought cap would ever do the same, and he was wrong
MCU will never be as good as this. Civil War is even good as a standalone movie without the whole cinematic universe and everything. It's just great.

Most of people missunderstood why Steve didn't tell Tony the truth about his parents.
First of all, he wasn't 100% sure if it was Bucky who did it, because in C.A: The Winter Soldier, Zola showed Tony's parents and Fury's deaths saying "accidents will happen", in that moment Steve realized that was Hydra the one who killed them, and had suspicions that the Winter Soldier did it as he did with fury. Then they discovered that Bucky was the Winter Soldier and also was brainwashed being in control of Hydra.
Now, in Civil War when they captured Bucky, Steve and Sam had a conversation with Sharon about the possibility of Bucky being framed, conversation wich confirmed that they were searching for Bucky after TWS events and they found absolutely nothing, next to that Zemo controls Bucky and it ends in disaster, so after he got conscius again he said that he wasn't the only winter soldier, wich made Steve think that probably it wasn't Bucky the one who killed Tony's parents, but he didn't throw away that suspicion, so he explains to Tony that there are more supersoldiers down Hydra's command, but he didn't listen, then everything goes to shit after the fight, and when they get to Siberia, Tony enters too saying to Steve that maybe his Story isn't that crazy, and Zemo shows up demonstrating that he didn't wanted more supersoldiers by killing them while sleeping, proceeding to show them a video with the date and road where Tony's parents died and how, being the Winter Soldier the one who did it, so right when Steve saw him appear in the video he confirmed that it was Bucky, and when Tony asked him if he knew, Steve first sayed "i had no idea that it was him" with actually was a lie because he had suspicions, then Tony didn't believed him and asked again, and Rogers now answered with a "Yes", wich is also another lie, because he didn't knew at all, he knew it was Hydra, then he suspected that the one who did it was the Winter Soldier, then he thought about the possibility of being one of the other supersoldiers, so he wasn't 100% sure, he just confirmed it when the video started, and with guilt he gave Tony that second answer without explaining him with details.
Where Steve was wrong is that he could've told him that he discovered that Hydra killed his parents and wasn't an accident, because Zola basically gave him that information, but about Bucky being the responsible of it, he had the right to keep it in secret because it was a suspicion.

The most heartbreaking thing here is that moment where cap raises his shield and you can see a moment of fear in Tony’s eyes and you can see cap thinking “I have gone too far.” As he slams it into his arc reactor.
No, he thought Cap was going to kill him. But he didn't and only disabled the arc reactor. Cap didn't think "I have gone too far at all" because it wasn't shown in his eyes. He only wanted to stop Tony from killing his friend.
He could’ve killed both of them so many times in that fight (cough Unibeam). Obviously he wouldn’t kill Cap and just wanted to incapacitate him, but at least it would’ve made sense for him to try and use more lethal force against Bucky.

That scene at 2:27 really gets me. Tony getting up knowing he is defeated, Cap leaving him behind. I feel like that place were they fought, was the place where the Avengers died. The room alone with it's view over the mountains just feels like a calm place where everything ends. This is where the Death of the Avengers happened. I swear, if it wasn't for Bruce to come back, Tony would have never been prepared against The Black Order, Dr Strange would just have been kindapped, Steve wouldn't even know what's happening since he is on the run from the government, Vision and Wanda would have had their time, at least, until the Black Order comes and steal the Mind Stone. I just wanted to say that it was a great idea of the MCU to have one, simple, normal guy, far away from everything, not knowing what happened and just arrives in time to save and warn everyone and unite the Avengers again

Let's face it even when Cap was sitting on top of him Iron man could have blasted him with his chest beam like he did to Bucky's arm but Cap would probably die if he does that,so Tony chose protecting his face with a cross arm.
Watch the scene again, when cap drops him Stark is trying to thrust away even though his thrusters are damaged. This makes him hit his the back head hard when he drops.
Its a pretty pronounced, intentional effect, collision sparks from stone/concrete meeting metal, and if you get a good whack to the back of your head you're gonna need a minute to collect your faculties, which is why Stark just shamefully covered his face in instinctive defense. I imagine his ears were still ringing in that moment.
