This lad will go a long way been watching boxing for 40 years he’s an entertainer all my favourite boxers have retired so pleased this lad has come along he’s my favourite now ide love to see him live
I was thinking some of the showboating was a bit too much. After listening to him speak, i suggest i shut up and say go forth! what a very intelligent, articulate young man! Very talented and one to watch: Good luck, great interview!
Absolutely a great interview and a must watch for up and coming young boxers. Touches on style, flow, personality/character/in ring persona. Why is it so important to have a creative kick ass entrance, ring gear. A lot of boxers miss these key factors and ask themselves why am I not being promoted by my promoter or label 🤔 Being good at the sport and winning is 50% of the formula. Other 50% is entertainment, after all it is entertainment and people forget about that. Also, for the ones saying his style of boxing is disrespectful, just remember they said this about Emanuel "The Drunken Master." Augustus may god rest his soul. We all love Emanuel "The Drunken Master" Augustus style now but didn't appreciate it while he was active, people need to remember that. As long as old school old guys run British Boxing, they will try to keep as traditional as possible with whole British Queensbury rules and Tradition malarkey 🙄 How can you have such influence on a sport and it be more popular in other countries 🤔 As we know, the Queensbury Rules are the Basis of Modern Boxing today, which shows you the enfluence England 🇬🇧 has on Boxing. British Boxing needs to evolve big time. Also, new blood is needed to be the face of it, promoting wise that is. Young fresh promoters need to make it happen. Even the athletes make more money 💰 overseas, especially in the USA 🇺🇸. I just hope that when he signs with the big boys, they don't try to bully him or try to change him. This kid just needs to be left alone and let him do his magic on the big stage.
He's totally won me over in the last year. The thing for me was does he respect his opponents afterwards, it seems he does and is a really nice guy, good fun as well. That last fight was so amusing and entertaining, and it's not like showboating is new, it's part of the sport.
Ben whitakers a top lad see him in the gym I use from time to time when he's ticking over in between fights. He'll always acknowledge you give you a nod to say hello very approachable guy no ego wishing nothing but success
This is a young man who completely understands the game. He knows his dad will never let him get above his station and if he has sense he’ll never always keep him around because that’s who he’ll always need around.
Fair play to Ben. Super likeable guy man very nice. Some very impressive eye-catching skills, that rubber necking was beautiful! Excited for your career!
I remember my first time hearing about Ben was from video years ago of AJ and Floyd doing a meet and greet in the UK. Ben was there with his dad and AJ introduced them to Floyd and said something to the effect of "Watch out for this kid, he's gonna be a serious problem"
He’s smart (Edit: Maybe not as smart at quizzes tho). He’s changed my mind a lot by having more interviews. If he was cocky and arrogant outside of the ring, he’d prove a lot of people right. He is arrogant but it’s self aware arrogance. I know a lot of cocky boxers that just don’t know how to socialise with people, they just rub people up the wrong way.
Good luck to the lad. I like him man, he a cool cat, been bought up proper you can tell. True, we all know eventually it'll come to a stop but why not enjoy the ride on the way. That ain't nothing against him, even the best come unstuck at some point. But he's got a good character and he's funny as fuck to watch IMO
I really enjoy his fights. But it is only the early fights. He loves to celebrate each enjoyable moment. I think the american market will fall in love with him. But, like Prince Naseem, what happens when Ben meets a highly technical fighter like Prince did with Marco Antonio Barrera. Also, would ben entertain entering highly stacked supermiddleweight class? At lightheavy, there’s bivol and beterbiev, maybe later benavidez and murrell, then with only one weight to go, there’s jai at cruiser.
Extreme martial artist combat master OLISA ERIC OSSAI challenged Ben Whittaker multiple times to boxing match but hes been avoiding, bottling it & ducking ,smh !! ..

No one is going to be bothered to actually listen to him and will judge him off the show boating but very clearly a nice guy if you hear him out
But they'll still tune in
The public will get to know him in time and he will win over more and more fans.

Bang-on, pal, he's clearly had great parents. And in that last fight, I've never laughed so much watching a sporting event, it was brilliant!
Lovely kid going right to the very top
How long did it take him for his first bout?
Top guy
He seems like a nice down to earth guy. Total opposite to his in ring persona.
