Although the end leads that there may be possibility between her and Steve, with her attitude, it’s doubtful- though it was a “business” agreement, she knew he had feelings for her and didn’t even care. Yes, he was getting something out of the agreement but no doubt he was hoping it would’ve lead to something real; she used his feelings to her advantage and once she was done using him she coldly dumped him knowing his feelings but also not communicating anything to him, giving him a chance; not only that she is teaching her daughter this behavior, teaching her to be cold, to use and treat marriage as a joke/business agreement without emotions. I understand what she was doing and all that but I don’t agree with it- 8 year(s) her her ex d-bag was presumed dead, with the truth out it’s more than enough for her to close that chapter and a least give her new husband a chance, a opportunity instead of being cold like that. She is no different than her first ex-husband to be honest.
She's worst, because her husband is an idiot. He thought with her 🍆& supposed heart. The dummy had the intelligence of a 15 year old boy. But SHE was a highly intelligent women, that had a reason for every move she made & every word she said. She calculated every aspect of her life, for HER benefit. Even her daughter was raised by her as "THE HEIRESS", & the person that legitimized & facilitated HER grasp on the company, power, family name, & wealth. When the kid came out of the school, the FL beamed with pride. She didn't worry about her young daughter's inner feelings over meeting her useless bio "dad", or about how any of this ridiculous situation would affect her daughter. NOPE, Because her sole focus was on how HER daughter was the perfect biological specimen that inherited the best of both families. The daughter had grown up with Steve, as her father. He loved & cared for her as his own daughter. But the FL didn't bother with worrying about how her ruthless & cold hearted decision to end the "contract", would affect her daughter. Because according to her & the daughter, she loved Steve as a father. Yet she easily severed all conections to him, without taking into consideration her "perfect heiresses" feelings. Or care about how hurt Steve would be, because she knew he loved her & had hoped their marriage would be accepted by her as a REAL relationship. Who cares about feelings , morals, & human empathy. When time is money, & only power, wealth, & status matters. The most disturbing part of this, is that she didn't care about her perfect specimen's feelings. Because she knew she raised a power hungry heiress, not a kind hearted girl. So she was naturally certain that HER perfect daughter, would bother with trivial things like "love" & "familial ties". Steve needs to run, & RUN far away from this cold hearted mother/daughter duo. Get himself a good, KIND womwn, that is capable of feeling genuine emotions for him, & doesn't see him as an object to use & discard.
She is very different from her Ex - what kinda messed up moral assessment do you have to compare a cheating entitled dck like her husb to FL who didn't want to further entangle in a purely biz relationship? Just cos the guy wants it, she should be obligated to continue? Even if she doesn't have any feelings ? And that somehow makes her equal to tat scumbag Ex???? Wow... What a misogynistic judgment
So why didn't she immediately call the police when she saw her "dead" ex trying to break in? Why did she even let him in the house? These stories are so stupid.
Female lead is strong and very decisive . It’s not wrong and she is just protecting herself and the daughter and the wealth she accumulated from any men that would take advantage of her . Her husband left her for 8 years while she is pregnant just to be with a mistress and this taught her a painful lesson . It’s also s right for her to divorce Steve since their marriage was just business and it not because of love. If Steve continue to pursue her after divorce then a new relationship will form.
It would have been cold if she had shown feels for him and then coldly dumped him.. doesn't look like it, looks like Steve always knew she wouldn't continue .. that he fell for her is on him, after what she went through in her first marriage why would she take a risk with another when she is not fully into him?
FL is just like ML , both take marriage as a matter of joke & FL is teaching her daughter that marriage is just a deal of profits without responsibility.
@@IfAllElseFails_Ctrl_Alt_Del your argument is strange...did FL and her daughter make any lovey dovey promises to Steve? Also why is her daughter calculating? nice story line with a brilliant daughter who knew which parent had her back.

The FL was arctic. There wasn't anything warm or fuzzy about her. I couldn't like her, but admired how calculating she was.
The FL in this story is admirably strong, independent, and intelligent but very, very cold and calculating. Try as I might, couldn't like her.
She & the daughter are cold hearted & calculating. Poor Steve was used & disposed off by both of them.
