  • Islam In Africa - by Sheikh Ahmed Deedat
    Lecture by Sheikh Ahmed Deedat to Chamber of Commerce and Industry members of Abu Dhabi on 31st May 1992.
    Sheikh Ahmed Deedat:
    In 1986, the King Faisal Foundation awarded the King Faisal International Prize for SERVICE TO ISLAM, to a South African who is more or better known than many dignitaries in their own countries. This was the first time that this prestigious award has been awarded to a South African. The recipient of this award was a man totally dedicated to his faith and its propagation and who was not afraid to challenge any one to a debate to settle once and for all the matter, who has the good news right? He was none other than Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, reverently known and called UNCLE by those who hold him in high esteem and admiration.
    The award came after a lifetime of struggle to propagate Islam and to defend Islam against the onslaught of the missionaries. Finally, he was given recognition by the international Muslim community that he deserved and focused more sharply the attention of the Muslim world on the most important aspect of his work, the challenge to propagate Islam. This was his life long ambition to focus the Muslim world's attention and resources on the propagation of Islam, and at last he succeeded. What a moment of jubilation, achievement and personal gratification for Sheikh Deedat the award was, a turning point in his life.
    Sheikh Deedat did not have much formal schooling, but he was self-taught through experience and a penchant for reading, debating, discussion, and a profound sense of commitment to a mission and goal. He was driven and goal oriented. He was focused and never let up until the job was done. He was sharp, perceptive, forthright, fiery, and daring in his challenge of those whom he debated, particularly against those who equal his missionary zeal and sense of audacity. Formal schooling did not destroy his creative prowess, his tenacity, ambition, drive, and sheer daring to swim upstream.
    Sheikh Deedat was more a scholar of the Bible than the Qur'an, and was more familiar and adroit with its teachings. He had an insight and perspective of the Bible which made many Christians he came into contact with rethink and re-examine their faith, particularly those aspects of the Bible and the Qur'an that deal with the divine mission and life of Prophet Jesus.
    On May 3, 1996, Sheikh Ahmed Deedat suffered a stroke which left him paralyzed from the neck down, and also meant that he could no longer speak or swallow. He was flown to a hospital in Riyadh, where he was taught to communicate through a series of eye-movements. He spent the last nine years of his life in a bed in his home in Verulam, South Africa, encouraging people to engage in da'wah. He continued to receive hundreds of letters of support from around the world. During these years, rumors spread throughout the Internet that he was already dead, and even some websites that contained his pamphlets mentioned as early as 2002 that he was dead.
    On August 8, 2005, Ahmed Deedat finally succumbed to his prolonged illness and died at his home in Trevennen Road, Verulam in the province of KwaZulu Natal.

    Alhamdulillah his (Sheikh Ahmed Deedat) expression was clear and his love for African people was so immense. His understanding of them was too nice as well. We shall contribute to his process as well.

    Hats off for brother Ahmad Deedat..The Muslims need many such scholars like him to have a healthy and reasonable debate with Christians who have deviated a lot from monotheism and have developed a sickness of Trinity.

    I have absolute respect for Islam and unlike most, I think its because it's so closely related to my religion (Christian)
    If this however is the same man who spoke at the OIU (oldest Islamic university) in Malaysia, what a disappointment I have to say.

    May Allah reward this eminent champion of the Deen,
    The African Dawah is slow and often grossly overlooked, there is much to be said of our efforts as Muslims to eleviate the mass ignorance and negligence from the part of Muslim eduationalists and organisations alike. But we must continue to try nevertheless.
    Check IDEAL our videos for more African Dawah material inshaAllah and keep us in your prayers. Salaam.

    As a Christian.
    I Love all people.
    As a human it is often difficult but when you work towards something, when you strive to make a thought a life principle, you CAN LEARN to love.
    ALL. Muslims, Buddhists, Tamils, Black, White. Shades in between. The whole shebang.
    That been said, there is a lot being said about a lot of religions all round.
    Hate. Mostly. Lack of understanding or willingness to.
    I often wonder. About a lot of things, about other religions. Sometimes, negative. I guess in truth mostly negative. Howelse would i justify my religion and beliefs if i cannot see the ridiculousness of others compared to mine? Perhaps it's a human trait. One that came after Adams fall. But I do not share them or verbalise them.
    I fall daily into sin. If not for God's unfailing love and his Grace and unfailing and never-ending mercies I would be a lost soul. A rudderless ship.
    Who am i then to point fingers and find flaws in another man's beliefs when i myself am not perfect.
    May God Almighty.
    The Creator of the Heavens and Earth Bless you all Abundantly.
    In your day of trouble call on His name.

      It doesn't matter whether you are perfect or not, God gives you that authority to preach the truth, as you are his vicegerent on this earth.
      So,don't try to mask your weakness under the false pretence of being an understanding human.
      If someone called your mother a whore, please pardon me, I'm sure she is a very good lady, bless her, point is, if someone called her a whore, a prostitute, would you keep quiet? I don't think any man or woman would,
      You Christians have said,
      God had sex with Mary, this is what your Bible insinuates, read it.
      So you're saying, God had to make a penis for himself, he had to have an erection plus ejaculation for Mary to be impregnated...
      Do you even understand the seriousness of such a foul claim in this book of yours?
      As I said , a human cannot tolerate any one calling his mother a whore, and you are saying that God almighty will allow someone to call him an adulterer? Having sex with Mary? Not even being married to her?
      If you think with a little mind, you will see how serious and how vile this claim is against your god,my god,the god the entire universe...
      Blessed be his name

    For the hard core and fundemental christian they regards that the bible is the words gods and being god word is sacred,the christian were modifying the bibles and also omitting section of their bibles which what the RVS is doing and how could you changed and modified the words of God.This is another blasphemy in the bibles and they refused to accepted the truth.From my point of view the bible is lower than the hadith,paul,luke,john are just being and it could be a hearsay only.Can a christion showed us the original injeel where is the reliable book is it disappearing or vanished in the air.Why cannot the christian be like to muslim to have only one book only.instead of thousand.The quraan is guaranteed by God and preserved by God for 1400 years without alteration or corruption from human manipulation.
    During the time of Muhamad ,he is an ummi,or unlettered man,and he could not read nor could he writes.What does we know about jesus whether he is unlettered or not and if the christian say that he is god why does he need revelation because I am god
    For those christian who followed bibles they are following the scripts blindly without using intelligent,maybe for them the word is .sacred and we could not argue or just accept it without thinking.I opine that islam will be like in Andulisia in the American contigen because American soceity are vacuum in religion.The only solution for mankind is through Alquran as a guidance and solution to mankind .Science in the early days of islamic Andulisia was developed in Spain and it was through innovation and researches that made the nation great,in Americas they used brains they educated their citizen well and the only viable religion is Islam and Alquran.American is an intIrgrated society and there were many races and we belived that through the wisdom of the people islam shall shines the fastest.We could count that how weak we are in the islamic country interms of modern scientific innovation how many PHD we are producing how many nobel laurette are there is islamic country.In arabs there are only arabs whether they are christian or muslims.And through christianity they had the ability to have interfaith dialogue amongst the religious groups and later found the truth.
    Now we had a aglican priest and to our surprised he could read the alquran and they took the trouble the learn the holybook.
    My dear brothers and sister Al quraan is the only authentic god revelation and it was passed to the last prophet free from corruption and manipulation and it was passed through Muhammad(PBUH)

    The Christian missionaries converted 1 MILLION Muslims in Bangladesh more than they have ever in 100 years since independence? Wow, that’s a pretty high number, what are we Muslims even doing. We need to get our brothers and sisters back.

    You need a deeper understanding of the 'trinity'. Someone oughtta tell you about Abraham and moses, ill ask you where these individuals of god or with a message of god?. This could clear up the 'trinity' you presume to speak of.

    mohammad in his last days died being bed ridden and he suffered for about 2 years before his pathetic death
    the same with deedat he died bedridden for about 4 years and could not eat on his own nor go to the loo he was bed ridden....wrath of God for both?

    • @ACROBAT902
      @ACROBAT902 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Julio Kosters Jesus came down to sacrifice his life for us.....there is a huge difference in Jesus sacrificing his life for the sins of people and mohammd claiming to be the closest to God and dies of poisoning and also who prayed to allah along with gabriel yet died a pathetic death....on his death bed too his followers who believed him to be the prophet rejected his will and did not allow him to die.....this is a pathetic death.

    • @julio14335
      @julio14335 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      acrobat krobat If the death of Jesus according to you is not pathetic. Can you just for a moment imagine you own bonified father dying like him almost nakedly on a cross, crying loudly in front of those who he came to die for. Saying "Father if it is possible let this cup pass away from me"... According to this passage of the Bible it seems he didn`t want to die for you to begin with.

    • @ACROBAT902
      @ACROBAT902 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Julio Kosters please read what i wrote i never used the word pathetic for Jesus but i used it for mohammad...
      as for Lord Jesus Christ this was fore written and fore told and when he came in flesh he did the will of the father.....he died for the world and on the cross he said forgive all those who went against me.....could mohd. ever do even 1% of what Jesus did? a big NO

    • @julio14335
      @julio14335 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      acrobat krobat Buddy im using the word pathetic not for Jesus personality, but for his unjust death by his enemies. Religion is not Politics, i propagate i dont do campaigns or comparisons like you are doing. I just want you to use ur own senses. Now my simple question to you is- "If Jesus came to die for sins of the world, did he die a natural death (Willingly), in other words did he die for those who KILLED him as well"...
