LOL... I just saw this video and was laughing my butt off! You always set the high end first to a good high and solid scream and then set the low end just to get a good throttle response. NEVER set the idle with the low or high needle. Unscrew that idle needle with the spring on it and throw it over your shoulder. Then adjust the idle with your radio which closes the butterfly valve till you reach the idle RPM that you want.

This video should be titled "How Not To Tune An Engine"
Every time he picks up the screwdriver I cringe lol

    Great presentation
Can you reverse helix. rotation to install the engine in the tail to push forward?

mate i tell you gas beats electric
longer runtimes plus gas engines give you all the power
same with electrics but less runtime ahhahahhaha

To breakin the engine you have to continiously go high-low, high-low, high-low for a couple of hours in order let the piston ring to sit on the sleeve. If you go only low throttle the pressure inside of cylinder is not enough to push the piston ring to the sleeve wall. You will not breakin engine with only low throttle even if you run the engine for 1000 hours. It is not going to happen. You have to go high and then low cycle ...mean time not to allow engine heat up because it is new and parts are not work together and friction can damage parts. The guy in video is doing right . It is exactly what needs to be done.

This engine has now been adjusted to rotate rotated at about 2000-8000 a 16 × 8. Glow and gas prices in the engine, fuel economy, a noticeable difference in fuel costs, gas engines are now freely enjoy the environment. 2-stroke, the more variations of the four-stroke aircraft fly, the engine is adjusted, use the cub 1 / 5.

Breaking my DLE20 with a 17x6 and I cant seem to getting over 7500 RPM. it seems to be running great but research shows 8500-9000 RPM with this setup. I've only burned about 1/2 gallon so far and hoping ill get more RPM as it breaks in. Anyone have any thoughts on this? What RPM's where you getting during break it? Thanks, John

Try mounting the tank at the same height as the crank of the engine. It will run even better.

What is the best gas/oil ratio for a run in dle?

    • @ToyManFlyer1100

32:1 all day with regular oil...Don't use that synthetic or synthetic blend crap...Unless you wanna buy a new motor when you mistakenly lean it out...Also, as you can see...He's in and out on the Throttles...Don't let the motor sit there full blast for Break In... I think the book says 3-4000 rpm's....Also, as you can see....Always use a Tach...This ain't Glow or Nitro...Your ears can't detect a 1000 or more RPM's change...And that's the difference between running well or overlean...and a new motor to be bought coz you just burnt up the one you got....Cheers 🍻!!!!

Excellent engine ! Dial it in on the test stand , and just let it run. A couple hours of stand mounted break in and you have a real nice engine that gets better by the minute.
Lots of snot for such a small engine!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
