Oh wow, I had no idea the babe with hair thing dates so far back. It just looks so goofy 😂 Anyway thank you for watching and commenting! I appreciate it
@@AllTimeScary I am really happy you covered the topic! You are the first large creator to talk about it… now it will gain more exposure! It might seem like a simple detail… But for many 90’s Kids a lot of us seem to remember Babe not having hair!! (I also Remember the producer saying that they needed to use a whole bunch of piglets to film the movie because they kept growing to fast… (It just doesn’t seem right that each pig they would grow its hair that way or put some darker colour in it.?? 🤷♂️🤯🤯🤯🐖🐷 Also I had the VHS at home from the age of about 9 to my teenage years and I never realized he had hair! 📼
I experienced my own Mandela effect with the nintendo switch. The plug in port never was a c charger. I said to myself that would be convenient if it was because my cell phone charger. Now it's a c charger!
I tell you what is kind of frustrating. When I asked my family about Dollies braces they all remember. I told them to watch the clips again as she no longer has the braces. The response? "Mmm ... oh well. Never mind" Nobody else really seems bothered at all, and they don't even want to question it.
I see stuff like this all the time. One of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen was the rewriting of my gf’s mind mid sentence. It was like data being loaded in. She was so freaked out by this random new memory that just appeared in her mind and so was I. The Mandela Effect is so strange.
Sorry but your parents soul has been sucked through TV PROGRAMMING and Vaccines. They're NPCs now... Sounds crazy, might even make you angry I'm saying it, but I promise you I'm not joking and I'm being sincere in best way possible. The information is out there, keep searching for the truth. Whatever you DO STOP watching PROGRAMMING, it's doing way more damage then you realize...
I have had similar experiences when telling people. My mom was singing "it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood" I mentioned it'd changed to "it's a beautiful day in THIS neighborhood" so without even questioning it, she sang the song but with "this neighborhood". Enough to make you go as mad as a swan.
I'm old enough to have seen Moonraker when it came out and vividly remember that Jaw's girlfriend had braces! I remember thinking when they first smiled at each other it was so sweet that they both had a mouth full of metal. This is one Mandela effect I totally believe in!
I posted this before I saw your post so I'll post it here again. Dolly had braces and its the one Mandela Effect that messes with my mind in a big way. I watched Moonraker in the early 80's so its been a long time but her braces have always stood out as a key part of that scene and film. I can't explain it, I have to assume I somehow misremembered it and yet, I don't feel like I misremembered it at all, even a little. She had braces. It was the entire point of their love story was she was like Jaws with metal in her mouth. IT WAS THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE SCENE.
@@AllTimeScaryEveryone is a simulated zombie in the dragon's (satan's) system, what can't you understand about that!!!!!? They didn't give you all those Matrix movies, zombie shows, and zombie movies for no reason!!!!!!!!!!!!! The dragon changed the past!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never liked Pokémon, every time they aired it on t.v it was some random episode and I remember falling asleep trying to keep up with it. That’s not an insult, no offense, that’s what literally happened.
At about 3:45 you asked for our experience: I FIRST saw Moonraker in about 2012--first time in my life I saw it. Dolly HAD BRACES for sure. I leaned over to my husband while I was watching it with him and when Dolly rescues Jaws, I said, "If only she has braces!", he replied with a smile, "Wait and see"--sure enough she had braces. This was a memorable moment for us because he wanted me to like the movie he had loved for years, and I so clearly did! A few years later, we watched it again in 2017 and Dolly still had braces, we leaned over to one another and laughed at the memory we shared because of the first time we watched it. Imagine my surprise only 2 or 3 months later when I saw on a video that Dolly's lack of braces was a Mandela effect! I had just seen the movie only a few months earlier! I found it on cable and watched it right away and sure enough--no more braces! It was astounding. I have no logical explanation, but it happened exactly as I described it.
Either the information in your brain is outside the timeline(strange?) Or it's being altered in such a way as to not disturb the makeup of our brains. But that doesn't make sense? Unless we were in a simulation, where rewriting the memory of billions of people wouldn't be worth the effort and not necessary since you could edit small things like these without impacting the memory of already established minds
If we were in base reality surely your memories of alternate reality would cease to exist the minute the alteration happens as your current memory would be formed by your history which if changed would surely change your memory as well
So maybe we're in a simulation and some small details were changed but our memories remain intact. Still, it would only be beneficial to keep our memories intact if A) it helps further the goal of whatever being is making edits or B) our current mode of consciousness is too important to alter. If it's B, we might be the creators of the simulation living out human lives for whatever reason. That would explain the system's reluctance to reset the timeline and risk either erasing or damaging certain people's existence
That James Bond one has bugged me a ton! Back when I was a kid, it seemed every time I was at my Grandparents house, that either the Planet of the Apes series or the James Bond movies would be running on TV. I have seen Moonraker dozens of times. Jaws and Dolly's attraction makes zero sense if she doesn't have braces. Jaws was a villain. Why would this tiny girl smile back at this henchman that everyone else feared? There would have to be a common ground for the scene. Dolly having a mouth full of braces was the thing they had in common that allowed the scene to work. Without it they have nothing in common.
Exactly!!! It was one of those perfect movie scenes that makes sense without dialogue and even to young children watching it for the first time.... That’s what made that scene so absolutely perfect. Now that “magic” is gone and none of it makes any sense.....
That's the one that convinced me. Even checked it on VHS... the joke when she smiles at Jaws doesn't make sense now. I've had personal mandelas happen to me too. I love them ❤
@@kerrierobbins6193I vividly remember her not having braces but more like metal teeth like he seems to of had. I've also had a personal Mandela Effect. I can't prove it. If only I had of taken a picture or two.. It was a relatively minor thing. Regardless I'm convinced that Mandela Effects are real.
That’s one of the few, which really freaks me out - still. I clearly remember seeing the movie with my dad in the theatre and she definitely had braces. I saw the movie a few times after that on the Tele as well and every time she had braces. The other one is C3POs leg in Star Wars EP IV when they’re walking in the dessert. Other than that none of the other Mandela effects really blew my mind as much.... But those two.... man, that’s freaky...
this is one of the strongest ones for me too. watched this movie when i was a kid, couple times. then when i first saw a video for this Mandela effect a while ago i clearly knew what this scene was about, because even as a kid I found it funny and "romantic" but a little too on the nose. flabbergasted when she wore no braces. 😮
My whole family and I remember Dolly having Braces. They were a contraption for sure. In fact that's why Jaws and Dolly have the connection, and why she is not afraid of him. Without the braces that scene is just totally pointless. It's just wrong.
I recently experienced a Mandela effect myself. As a fan of electronic music I remember when Avicii passed away. There were several news articles about how he had died at the age of 27. There is this thing called "The 27 Club" which consists of musicians/artists who have passed at the age of 27, and Avicii was included in that list. Now I recently found out that he had actually died at the age of 28. That makes no sense since Avicii was the reason I found out about The 27 Club in the first place. Does anyone else remember this?
woah no yeah I remember this too. he was added to the 27 club. maybe whoever was responsible (responsible in the sense that they're to blame, not that someone was assigned to make him a part of that club) for making him a part of the 27 club on social medias got his birthday mixed up and it just blew up before it could be corrected? but we would've seen old articles saying that and new ones correcting it, and I don't see either. hmm. I swear I remember this.
I listened to Avicii all the time, I was really sad at his passing and the tragic details of it. But that's so interesting and strange, I'm really familiar with the 27 Club but don't remember seeing any mention of him being 'added' to it
This is WILD. I was in high school during this time and I distinctly remember talking with numerous friends about all the musicians that had passed away recently. What’s crazy is that me and one of my friends were arguing about whether the ‘27 club’ or the ‘under 21 club’ had more musician casualties. We wrote them out in my school diary and so I went to check - clear as day there is: Lil Peep, XXXTentacion, Sid Vicious and others in the 21 club and sure enough AVICII IN THE 27! WHAT IS HAPPENING.
Babe didn't have hair . I can understand how Alfredo's pencil line goatee could be overlooked as shading but Dolly in Moon Raker definitely had braces , that's what made the scene memorable!
In some scenes Alferdo can be passed as a shadow but in several of the images posted it is clear as day and very hard to miss. I don't recall him having facial hair. I thought his character design was lacking that to state he was very young.
Alfredo absolutely never had a goatee because he was a very young man and he was clean shaven. I watched this movie a dozen times and I’ve never seen his hair. I love animation and combing over every little detail of these movies. No way he had facial hair from the beginning. You can’t just change a character’s design and people not notice…
Dolly had braces. I was a kid when i saw moonraker. When this scene happened my dad and brother laughed. I didnt understand why, so I asked. I distinctly remember my dad saying "because they both have metal in their mouths"
My dad was a James Bond fan freak and also a movie buff all together. I distinctly remember watching moonraker with him on vhs, the scene where dolly smiles at jaws with braces on, and then my dad giving me a 5 minute speech about the brilliance of the scene, the surprise romance, and all the other goofy shit my dad loves to talk about. She had braces, lol. There isn’t any debate about it. Only debate is whether we are all in the same time line or if evil groups of people are altering parts of our collective media history as some freaky nefarious beta test.
it has to be something man i wish i watched this movie so i could form an opinion. from the outside looking in it makes ZERO sense if she doesnt have braces im scared now maaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnn
The following is what I found online… “The actress who played Dolly, Blanche Ravalec, has stated that she didn't wear braces during filming which is correct. The braces were edited in during post-production and if you saw Moonraker at the cinema then yes, Dolly was wearing braces to make the comedy scene with Jaws.” It makes the most sense, apparently the TV aired version also showed the braces but the VHS versions did not. This movie was released before I was born and I don’t really remember it at all except, even I, somehow remembered that scene with braces. My mother probably watched it at some point and so I saw it. My parents recorded a lot of movies from TV onto VHS.
@@srinivastatachar4951 I wonder what the script says… I’m certain she was meant to have braces and, for some reason, they were omitted from certain versions. The scene simply makes no sense without braces.
@@ChameleonGirl888 Apparently, they were added on in post production, which I didn't know. But it was clearly there on the VHS tape, which is how I came to know that adults could wear braces, too (this scene sparked that entire conversation I had with my sister). ====================================
My two cents. - Babe - That one felt scary as I can't remember Babe having any grey/brown hair on his head. - Bond - Yes I remember as well braces on her teeths. - Skarmory was a 2nd gen Pokemon for sure. I fully remember that Pokemon as Steel was a new element in that Gen and Skarmory was one of the promonent ones.
I definitely remember Skarmory back when Gen II was new: I had a Pokémon card of it, and since Pokémon Stadium 2 was my first experience with Gen II, Skarmory clacking its metal beak in the intro is a distinctive memory I always associated with the second gen. I didn't go back and play Gold/Silver/Crystal until years and years later, though, so I never "missed" encountering Skarmory the way that a lot of other players did.
My memory of Skarmory is from Pokémon Stadium 2, as well. When he brought up multiple people thinking it was Gen 3, the distinct image and sound of Skarmory clacking its beak in the game’s intro came to mind. So I’m really glad someone else mentioned that prominent appearance lol
100% Dolly wore braces. That was the whole point of their attraction. I've seen the film multiple times and it's a strong memory from the movie. I can even remember what her braces looked like. They were thick and heavy.
They have even asked the actress about her braces, and she said she never had them in Moonraker. Hogwash! As a huge fan of Bond, I've seen every one many many times, including Moonraker which I saw when it came to theaters. The scene doesn't even make sense without the braces. The first time I saw it with her having no braces, I'm like wtf happened, why did they change that scene. Very strange indeed.
I've sinced asked family and friends why did Jaws in Moonraker fall for the little nerdy girl with glasses. They all replied because she had ugly braces.
I have an eidetic memory, especially for movies. I remember Babe (in both movies) not having hair because they had to go through so many piglets during filming because they kept growing. I remember Moonraker (my parents had it on VHS just after we got our first VCR) and Dolly had braces.
@@thomasholt2767 As I said, I have edeitic memory. I saw it at the 5:04 PM showing on August 12th with by three female friends and the two boyfriends who share my name (Jason). One of the boyfriends drove his mother's minivan, we were in Row H on the far left side (numbers 1-6). I can even tell you what we all ordered at the little restaurant before we went to the theater and during which scene the pair directly beside me began making out. Heck, I can even tell you exactly what we were all wearing right down to what pins one of the boyfriends had on his letterman jacket (we were going into our senior year of high school).
I brought up Moonraker to my dad once, didn’t even mention the madela effect on it just said do you remember the scene where they smile… and his instant response was oh yeah where she had a mouth full of braces and that’s why he liked her…. I was shocked. Then I told him about the Mandela effect and he said no that makes no sense.
Stuff like this is so compelling because what reason would he have to lie about an old movie for no reason? He truly believed it and now it doesn’t exist. It’s so strange
I grew up in church, going at least 3 times a week, and was ordained decades ago, and I have never ever heard that Bible verse! That's weirder than "the lion and the lamb" being changed to "wolf and the lamb".
I have a weird one. Shortly after Raquel Welch passed away, I read about Stefanie Powers passing. I distinctly remember telling my husband about it since she's a favorite of ours. Then a couple of days ago I found out she's still alive and when I mentioned it to hubby he has no recollection of me mentioning her death.
I had a similar experience,,,once, when dropping in on my mom some 12 plus years ago, I took a moment to skim through the local tv Guide fresh off the stands for that week. On the bottom right hand page of the People section, there was an article commemorating the life of Richard Chamberlain, who had just passed away. It featured a photo from Shogun, which I thought odd, given that he rose to fame from Dr. Kildare & reached his pinnacle in The Thorn Birds. I remember expressing this sentiment to my mom because she loved The Thorn Birds and grew up watching Kildare, during its' original airing. Of course, Mr. Chamberlain is alive & kicking, and my mom has no recollection of this occasion!
I saw moonraker in the theater as a kid, and yes I 100% remember the braces, and it was the reason the 2 fell for each other... this may have been the 1st Mandela effect I could not just write off as poor memory or me missing a detail because it is so ingrained into my memory
Moonraker is probably the best Mandela Effect yet. Also the car mirrors don't say "objects in mirror may be closer than they appear" anymore. They say "objects in mirror are closer than they appear." I have memories of both.
That's my number 1 ME. I must've read that mirror a thousand times. "OBJECTS IN MIRROR MAY BE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR" blew my mind when I found out it's never said that.
@@Matttaylor016That's crazy, since childhood first riding shotgun the mirror said "ARE closer than they appear". I noted the matter-of-factness of it immediately as I'd be asked to pay attention to the rearview mirror when the drived would be reversing onto a busy street, etc.
Ratatouille is one of my all time favorite Pixar movies. Watched it countless times. The main character never had facial hair. It looks out of place on him.
In some images you can kinda see it was shadow, but in more images you clearly see it should not be there. Does not hit as hard as Babe with hair.... these things look so odd it's like someone is pulling a prank putting the most obvious errors in the movies.
Noticing the pube stack on his chin has thoroughly ruined that movie for me. Idk why, but I am physically repulsed by his facial hair, and it’s extremely weird that I never noticed it during previous watches seeing as how I have such a strong negative reaction to it. Pixar has to be trolling.
I completely agree. Ratatouille is not one of my favorite Pixar movies, but I love all Pixar movies, so I’ve seen this one at least a dozen times. He absolutely never had facial hair. It completely changes his face and vibe.
Thanks for creating these videos, and continuing the important conversation about the Mandela Effect! We usually post a livestream Mandela Effect show every month, except we're skipping this month (August 2023), since we're gearing up for our in-person event happening September 2-4th in Branford, Connecticut, covering many aspects of this paradigm shifting phenomenon. We'd love to see you there!
My 2 cents: 1. I do remember Babe having hair, but it does seem like they darkened it and combed it more than I remember. 2. I grew up loving 8 Mile (it was even my nickname for a bit), and before u gave the answer, I 100% imagined Em tossing the mic to Papa Doc after he says “here, tell these people something they don’t know about me” 🤷🏻♂️
Yes, I remember Babe with a tuft of hair, but not brown. Rather pink, just like the rest of him. I've heard of the 8 Mile mic drop ME, but personally, I don't recall it that way. Sometimes I wonder if this particular action is conflating with what would happen if 8 Mile were made nowadays.
@@fredexdeliversYeah, mic drop is a popular action in the past several years especially. Some ppl even say a mic drop would defeat the point of the rap/scene and Eminem saying 'tell these people something they don't already know', and I agree. Nevertheless, some good MEs in the video!
When you started talking about 8 Mile I got worried for a moment...but no that scene has always been like that. 😅 It only makes sense, he destroys his opponent, disses himself and then basically says "here, tell these people something they don't know about me" and tosses the mic to his opp so he can go next. Dropping the mic would defeat the purpose of his whole verse.
@@aaronjames3228how do you not get it? If he simply had dropped the mic, it would've defeated the purpose of him saying "here, tell these people something they don't know about me" because it makes no sense for him to say that and then just drop the mic on the floor. He tosses the mic to his opponent so he can "tell the people" what he said to tell them.
@@ronnieherd9247 yes. I definitely remember the connection between the 2 when they both smiled and you saw a mouth full of metal. In fact i would put my life savings on it happening. I'm so certain. It wasn't even a vague memory. Very confused by it
hey there all time. i really dig your content. I'm an older guy at almost 60. some of the newer Mandela effects i couldn't tell you about, but the older ones i can weigh in on. there are a lot of older Mandela effects that have changed things from my youth. i can definitely tell you about the moonraker jaws scene. in my universe dolly had braces and not really normal braces but really heavy duty braces. i have a thing for blonds with long braids so this memory was burned into my brain. like so many others i ate up all the James Bond movies and watched them several times on HBO and later on VHS. Watching movies and TV was the thing to do before the internet arrived. also drinking beer, driving fast and chasing girls. please keep the content coming.
As a teenager my best friend had all the Bond movies on VHS and we watched them over and over, our favourite being the Moonraker. We knew the movie by heart and every scene I remember so well. Dolly definitely had braces, it was the whole point of that scene! Plus there is residue on film; a Finnish insurence company made a commercial with Jaws in it and a girl receptionist, who had braces!
I think they deliberately deliver different versions of pop culture to different parts of the western nations, and in general the world, so that they can gas light us later and use it as a part of a narrative.
The ones I can speak for are..Dolly had braces, Babe- total dual memory. That one has me scratching my head. Also, I have to say, I don’t understand “synchronicities” as they say, but I’m here to tell you, I’ve had so many I’d be stupid not to believe in it. Things like, ten minutes prior to your video popping up, I quoted the babe line “that’ll do pig” because my hubby said “that’ll do”. And I’m here to tell you, not only have I not seen that movie for 20 years, I certainly haven’t thrown that quote out for years as well. Kinda odd, no? Also, I feel your pain with the Pokémon. Sometimes they’re so maddening! Edit for condolences
Don't let it become a sickness you are right she did have braces for those who are in power work very hard to make duplicates of what really real sum work s7m do not. 🇨🇦🤗
My sister remembers babe having hair but I don't! 😮 we watched it together as children. I remember the woman from bond having braces because I thought when I was younger that if they kissed their mouths might get caught together. There are so many I remember differently, this is such an interesting subject
i could swear that the whole point of Dolly smiling at the end of the movie with an open mouth was that she never opend her mouth the entire film or we didnt see her teeth before and that led to the iconic reveal scene. that s how i remember it. need to rewatch, either my brain constructs things or... you know... we dont know...
Babe definitely didn't have hair. I also remember the Moonraker scene and how adorable I found the braces. It made the scene memorable for me and I'm pretty sure I even told my dad about it.
So how did the braces get out of modern copies of Moonraker? Did they film it both ways? It was before CGI, so they weren’t added. That’s a real mystery?
@@LeahIsHereNow What's adorable is that he sees the braces and feels an instant connection because they both have metal in their mouth. I also had braces for a long time so it was always nice to see some representation.
Being a James Bond and Pokemon fan, those were the two that got me. The 007 one more so because I too am one of the ones that KNOW that Dolly had braces because not only does it make sense to match Jaws' metal teeth, I vividly remember it when watching it with my dad. The Skarmory one is harder to remember for me, though. I completed my Pokedex on Gens I-IV though I can't clearly remember whether it was II or III that Skarmory was actually introduced. It's just been too long.
On IMBD she is literally listed as the girl with braces.....also "Jaws" did a commercial for a bank where he smiles at the teller and she smiles back...with braces...a parody of the movie scene.
I had an interesting Mandela Effect pop up for me recently. I was watching a list channel here on YT called Triple Jump and they were doing a list about games that never left Japan. One of the games on the list was Tobal 2 which I have vivid memories of playing. Fighting games were one of my favorite genres back then and I played the hell out of both Tobal No 1 and Tobal 2. I'm in North America and it was never released here apparently. I thought maybe they just made a mistake and it was not released in the EU and they assumed it was not released in NA as well. Nope! There is no information about it being released outside of Japan. There's info on how it was supposed to be released but pulled shortly before release because the first game didn't sell well here. I'm doing my best to find my original disk but I'm missing a huge chunk of my PS1 collection. I'm having my brother search his place for it. I found my old memory cards but my old PS1 is being a pain in the ass and will only read them once in a while. I hope to at least find my save data as residue. I did not have a Japanese copy of the game. If i did end up with one somehow, I wouldn't have been able to play it since my PS1 was not moded and therefore region locked.
You may be sort of right . Here in the UK a demo disc on the cover of playstation magazine had a playable demo of the game and the magazine had article about the game ,but the game never came out it remained unreleased here in the UK. But the demo disc had 2 stages and 2 characters to play with. So that may answer the question if if came out in the west. The disc was on the UK magazine playstation the official magazine. Disc 17.
The quote from Jesus is him telling a story-to say it’s actually him saying this would be like saying James Earl Jones actually claimed to be Mark Hamill’s father.
Batteries to replace a game boy game cartridge is pretty cheap, retro gaming shops usually do it for you too if you ask them. I would suggest getting it fixed and seeing if you have skarmory and what location you caught it.
I was just watching the law patrol movie with my son as it's his favourite film. I've seen it a million times over and today I noticed a shocking change. So I looked at clips from a few years ago and it's all changed.
Dolly had a big ass retainer from what I remember, not just braces. There’s even a scene where she gets stuck to something that’s been magnetized. Short scene, but I remember her making this loud funny yelp!
I also remember this. Moonraker was the one of the first bond films I ever see, and I always remember it well because I was scared of Jaws, but then after seeing the soft side of him when he fell in love with Dolly I always felt sorry for him. She 100% had braces
I remember Babe having a few strands. I remember him looking funny with it and just being all around different than the others in personality and looks but....not a toupee.
Of all the Mandela effects, Dolly's Braces gets me... So many are clearly understandable as to how it progressed, like: _Luke, I am your Father,_ That one happened because people naturally added Luke, Otherwise they would just be running around saying _I am your father_ ... Jif vs. Jiffy peanut butter? People are remembering Skippy Peanut Butter, together with Jiffy lube and Jiffy pop. But Dolly's Braces? The shot makes zero sense without them.
I watched Babe at least 5 times a day as a kid on repeat and still watch it now if I see it on TV… I am 32 now… and this is the first time I’ve seen Babe with hair…. WTF!?!?!

I didn't even see the movie, but was constantly bombarded with the trailers, posters and various PR for it back then. And this instantly looks all wrong!
I must say that I am not affected by the Skarmory Mandela effect because I remember watching Ash’s Cyndaquil win in a fight against a skarmory in the johto series. I remember the fight very clearly because I thought skarmory looked so cool and also because it was the first steel- flying type Pokémon. I remember that the fight ended with cyndaquil using flamethrower and obviously winning due to type advantage. The fight was crucial because it helped bring cyndaquils confidence up. Pokemon one makes sense, im pretty sure gold was the most sold version by far so most didn't encounter it and didn't think about it. I had silver, and pretty sure I caught it too.
I think we’re getting him mixed up with the pig in Scarlet’s Web. I saw this on tv very recently and that pig didn’t have hair. Otherwise looking exactly like the pig in Babe.

Babe had hair but there was also Gordy that was released around the same time so maybe people are remembering Gordy. I watched both all the time as a kid. Alfredo also always had facial hair.
Ratatouille was one of my favorite movies as a kid and he definitely had facial hair. I’m not 100% but I feel like I even remember ratatouille pulling on it at some point in the movie. But not sure. But I do remember the facial hair
Right, all time took the Luke 19:27 out of context. Jesus was telling a parable, Jesus didn’t have someone killed in front of him. He should go back and read it again.
“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one's foes will be members of one's own household” (Matthew 10:34-36).
Dolly absolutely had braces. The gag doesn't work otherwise. Skarmory was gen 2, though. It was the counterpart to Gligar. Not doubting you, just that's how it was for me.
Not sure if you've covered this Mandela effect. Commercial airliners jet engines used to be under the wings. Now they are in front of the wings. This makes no sense. The exhaust is blown right on to the wing where the fuel is stored!
Stopped watching for a moment to make this comment. Last week I was putting together a binder of pokemon cards generation by generation. I initially separated them into separate piles just from memory and then put them in order according to online info. I put skarmary in gen 3, but when I looked it up it was gen two. I don't remember this being in gen 2. I played a ton of pokemon back in the day. My mind is blown right now. I can't believe I noticed this last week and now you have a video on it!!!! So freaking cool!
I played gen two and three forward and back. Read all the official and unofficial guides. Tried translating the non English versions a few times with friends. Skarmory only shows up in 3 in my memory, but what surprised me also was that I came across "Spoink" from gen 3 and don't remember him at all. In my late teen/early adult years I even went through and plugged in cheats through a game shark to get all the mons, and don't remember Spoink or it's evolution.
As a native Detroiter who has watched 8 mile far too many times, sometimes not by choice, occasionally locked up in the basement with Dr.Dre...mic was always thrown not dropped

What happened to the video you just made? Did they take it down or did you take it down? For some reason my simple comment agreeing with you was removed first and then the video disappeared. Yes, I remember the whole audience laughing in the theater at the scene where she smiled, revealing her braces.
So Luke 19:27 is a saying meaning "bring my enemies to me as I will show them the mercy and glory of my Father" something similar to that but correct I don't remember the bible saying that. It is a saying though
Hi, so in Garry’s mod, despite being a new player, I literally 200% thought that in some version of gmod before gmod 13, the latest version. The thing is, I remember seeing genuine footage from that time, of a gmod map, called gm_bigcity. gm_bigcity was made before gmod 13 though, so that possibly could explain it. But the thing is, *IT NEVER EXISTED, AS A MAP IN THE GAME. I GENUINELY REMEMBER FOOTAGE FROM THAT ERA SHOWING IT ON THE SINGLEPLAYER MAPS.*
My brother, cousin and I watched Moonraker maybe 8 times in a week because that was the only film we had during a school break and we all remember her having braces...
JUST saw this from Dolly | James Bond Wiki - Fandom The actress who played Dolly, Blanche Ravalec, has stated that she didn't wear braces during filming which is correct. The braces were edited in during post-production and if you saw Moonraker at the cinema then yes, Dolly was wearing braces to make the comedy scene with Jaws. LOVE HOW THEY HAVE EXCUSSES
@@timhollis3390 Yes i believe DOLLY HAD BRACES, this is just a made up story the same as C3PO's Silver Leg they said it was damaged just before filming began & did not repair it LOL
My scariest Mandela effect is also Pokémon related: I remember that Pikachu always had a black tail tip. But it changed!! His black tail tip is deleted from history.
@JustinWilliams-ed2ug I meant that I remember a black tail tip and the transition between the black and yellow in a zigzag pattern. Hmm, something seems different about tail shape also?
The Babe having hair thing was because they had to use multiple pigs/piglets to shoot the movie - it was a way to distract audiences from noticing slight differences in the looks of the different animals and the puppet used at other times if I remember correctly.
When "8 Mile" came out and I saw it for the first time, I was a teenager. Then I watched it again last year and, like you, I was totally blown away that Marvel star anthony mackie was in there 🤯
What is even more weird about 8 mile is if you look closely as he tossed the mic , his motion looks as it has been motified. Meaning in the video his arm clearly looks to hold out to drop the mic, yet it has been edited to toss instead ..
The Mandela effect one newest to me, are slight changes in firearms, I noticed different cut shapes of my pistols barrel chambers. The slide cuts where the ejector and extractors changed. Addition and elongated cuts I'm the inside walls of the magazine well. I shot alot and clean and oil after everything. So I started noticing it.
I can assure you the Skarmory Mandela effect is false. I was 12 years old when Pokémon gold/silver was out and I remember being excited for the introduction of the (then new) steel type and ended up catching a Skarmory that I kept on my team :)
I remember Babe with that thatch of hair. It made him stand out and i noticed it on the movie posters. The other movies I’ve never seen. The verse was always the same to my memory.
i was around ten when my family and i saw moonraker on opening weekend and if my family were still here we would all say she had braces, that was the love at first site theme. BRACES

I watched this video @5am today and just got in from work at 3:30pm. The Alfredo Mandela effect has been on my mind all day because I honestly don't remember him having a mini beard. I headed straight for my dvd and right on the Freakin Cover is his baby a$$ beard!! How did we miss that? ?😮😮
I vividly remember Moonraker. My dad used to love that movie. He had it on VHS, and watched it all the time. She 100% had braces. They were large braces too. Not like the ones kids have nowadays. This Mandela effect messes with my brain. Another one that messes with me is the song "I love rock and roll" the line was "I saw him standing there by the record machine" now the line is "I saw him dancing there by the record machine ". These 2 Mandela Effect examples are an actual mind f$ck.
@@timhollis3390 It is very strange. I don't know why the lyrics would be changed on purpose, there's nothing contentious about standing to need to change it to dancing.
In Moonraker, I believe the girl actually smiles first and shows Kiel she has braces, then he softens and smiles himself and shows a mouth full of metal too, so it was a match made in Heaven, so to speak. Their relationship makes no sense, otherwise.
I believe there could have been two versions of the movie made, possibly one for the US and another for Europe, it could be possible that they used one version everywhere for the newer releases (I don't watch James Bond so I am not sure)
@@AllTimeScary Paul Reubens just died but actually started doing Pee-Herman live on stage back in 1981 titled The Pee-Wee Herman Show! which was an adult version of his tv series before it existed and had a HBO tv special with a young Phil Hartman years before 1985's Pee-Wee's Big Adventure and more then 4 years before his tv series. 🤗📺🎥🍿
The scene lacks purpose if her mouth is lacking metal. I remember metal too. Watching it not be there is like watching someone photoshop something to see if you notice.
@megalodon2k2 don't think so. I remember years ago someone from the ME subreddit managed to contact the actress who played Dolly and she was adamant her character didn't wear braces. I try not to think about this too often as I vividly remember the scene and SHE WORE BRACES!!!

I tell you what is kind of frustrating. When I asked my family about Dollies braces they all remember. I told them to watch the clips again as she no longer has the braces.
The response? "Mmm ... oh well. Never mind"
Nobody else really seems bothered at all, and they don't even want to question it.
I see stuff like this all the time. One of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen was the rewriting of my gf’s mind mid sentence. It was like data being loaded in. She was so freaked out by this random new memory that just appeared in her mind and so was I. The Mandela Effect is so strange.

I'm old enough to have seen Moonraker when it came out and vividly remember that Jaw's girlfriend had braces! I remember thinking when they first smiled at each other it was so sweet that they both had a mouth full of metal. This is one Mandela effect I totally believe in!

I have no logical explanation, but it happened exactly as I described it.
thats insane
Someone must be playing with the timeline. Probably in some attempt to avoid nuclear disaster?
She did have a bunch of braces, big ones. It was the moment you realized they were made for each other. Poignant part of the movie, memorable.
I remember seeing that snippet in commercials all the time. I didn’t even see the movie, and I remember.
Yes 100% They were really big braces too

The scene makes no sense whatsoever anymore 🤷♂️
Same here, and you put it into words precisely!
Precisely as you say. It's why she was not afraid of him, and why they had something in common to share.
Exactly!!! It was one of those perfect movie scenes that makes sense without dialogue and even to young children watching it for the first time.... That’s what made that scene so absolutely perfect. Now that “magic” is gone and none of it makes any sense.....
No freaking way that Dolly didn't have braces. I remember them clear as day
That's the one that convinced me. Even checked it on VHS... the joke when she smiles at Jaws doesn't make sense now. I've had personal mandelas happen to me too. I love them ❤

In case he did die at age 28 that would mean he lived a whole year without making a single song
Broooo same...
woah no yeah I remember this too. he was added to the 27 club.
maybe whoever was responsible (responsible in the sense that they're to blame, not that someone was assigned to make him a part of that club) for making him a part of the 27 club on social medias got his birthday mixed up and it just blew up before it could be corrected? but we would've seen old articles saying that and new ones correcting it, and I don't see either.
I do remember Babe having hair, but Dolly DEFINITELY had braces and I do not remember Alfredo having that goatee.

“The actress who played Dolly, Blanche Ravalec, has stated that she didn't wear braces during filming which is correct. The braces were edited in during post-production and if you saw Moonraker at the cinema then yes, Dolly was wearing braces to make the comedy scene with Jaws.”
It makes the most sense, apparently the TV aired version also showed the braces but the VHS versions did not. This movie was released before I was born and I don’t really remember it at all except, even I, somehow remembered that scene with braces. My mother probably watched it at some point and so I saw it. My parents recorded a lot of movies from TV onto VHS.

I had gold version but I had a guide and my little bro had silver so we traded
My memory of Skarmory is from Pokémon Stadium 2, as well. When he brought up multiple people thinking it was Gen 3, the distinct image and sound of Skarmory clacking its beak in the game’s intro came to mind. So I’m really glad someone else mentioned that prominent appearance lol
I played silver he was def there
Yep, 100% remember Skarmory in Crystal
I believe you 💯
Babe had hair for the exact reason you say he didn’t. The hairpiece made all the pigs used look the same.

We usually post a livestream Mandela Effect show every month, except we're skipping this month (August 2023), since we're gearing up for our in-person event happening September 2-4th in Branford, Connecticut, covering many aspects of this paradigm shifting phenomenon. We'd love to see you there!
That James Bond one really got me! I'm 100% sure that Jaws girlfriend had braces! That was the whole thing about the two of them!
My 2 cents: 1. I do remember Babe having hair, but it does seem like they darkened it and combed it more than I remember. 2. I grew up loving 8 Mile (it was even my nickname for a bit), and before u gave the answer, I 100% imagined Em tossing the mic to Papa Doc after he says “here, tell these people something they don’t know about me” 🤷🏻♂️
@@yoelvisfuentes7397 yep
Yes, I remember Babe with a tuft of hair, but not brown. Rather pink, just like the rest of him.
I've heard of the 8 Mile mic drop ME, but personally, I don't recall it that way. Sometimes I wonder if this particular action is conflating with what would happen if 8 Mile were made nowadays.
@@jfost281 I was thinking the mic drop might be due to “Wildin Out” or other battle rap shows/scenes that came afterward.. but def not from 8 mile!
@@fredexdeliversYeah, mic drop is a popular action in the past several years especially. Some ppl even say a mic drop would defeat the point of the rap/scene and Eminem saying 'tell these people something they don't already know', and I agree.
Nevertheless, some good MEs in the video!
Mike drop peaked in popularity when Obama did it after his 8 years in office @@jfost281
When you started talking about 8 Mile I got worried for a moment...but no that scene has always been like that. 😅
It only makes sense, he destroys his opponent, disses himself and then basically says "here, tell these people something they don't know about me" and tosses the mic to his opp so he can go next. Dropping the mic would defeat the purpose of his whole verse.
I don't get it
@@aaronjames3228how do you not get it? If he simply had dropped the mic, it would've defeated the purpose of him saying "here, tell these people something they don't know about me" because it makes no sense for him to say that and then just drop the mic on the floor. He tosses the mic to his opponent so he can "tell the people" what he said to tell them.
The moonraker mandella effect is old yet my favourite as I'm certain that she had braces when she smiled. Amazing that she didn't
The scene makes no sense without her braces.
Please check my comment about milk cartons. You are my age, you may remember the 70's...tyvm.😊
@@tesscastro2652 yes i do and am reminded of my poor fashion choices every time i open an old photo album.
I love these videos I was actually debating doing Mandela effects for my science fair topic 😅.
That'd be a pretty cool topic to talk about!
DOOOO IIIITTTT!!! 🙋🏼♀️👏😉👍💯
You are not alone on the synchronicities.
I feel like synchronicities are increasing.
She had braces! My mom talked about and watched this movie several times with me when I was a kid. So mind blowing
Never seen Moonraker, but I strongly agree about babe's human like comb-over being hard to swallow... He had a normal noggin
It looks so dumb hahaha
So how did the braces get out of modern copies of Moonraker? Did they film it both ways? It was before CGI, so they weren’t added. That’s a real mystery?
@@alphagt62you really don’t understand the concept of Mandela effects, do you? 🤦♂️
It was 2
On IMBD she is literally listed as the girl with braces.....also "Jaws" did a commercial for a bank where he smiles at the teller and she smiles back...with braces...a parody of the movie scene.
The first two are so subtle you wouldn’t notice unless were told to look, but Moonraker is some crazy stuff.
The Moonraker one has plagued me for years.
It's my own personal top Mandela Effect.
That’s so interesting! I remember hearing about the sequel but I never played it. I’ll look more into this.
I remember playing tobal 1 on ps1 im in new zealand not sure if that helps but if you guys didn't get it I would doubt we should of.
I have played Tobal 2, years ago. My brother had it.
Disc 17.
I remember playing one of them when twisted metal world tour came out it was full game but don't remember if was 1 or 2.
The craziest thing about the Skarmory one is that Skarmory is popular enough to have a Mandela effect about it
I am rarely unaffected by a Mandela effect, I swear I am from the old universe 😂
if you're unaffected then you're from the new one, anon.
@@freezingcathedralno they said they’re rarely unaffected, which means they’re usually affected by these Mandela effects
@@nataleeisjustchilling2737Rarely unaffected is almost a double negative, it consfused me at first too. Maybe better to say "often affected"
@@hadookin47 I agree
Dang that took me too long to figure out! Lol
Dolly had a big ass retainer from what I remember, not just braces. There’s even a scene where she gets stuck to something that’s been magnetized. Short scene, but I remember her making this loud funny yelp!
Yes I remember too
I also remember this.
A toupee 😂
WTF!?!?!
That's good to hear because I thought I was alone haha. It's so weird looking!

I didn't even see the movie, but was constantly bombarded with the trailers, posters and various PR for it back then. And this instantly looks all wrong!
I'm 38 and same
I must say that I am not affected by the Skarmory Mandela effect because I remember watching Ash’s Cyndaquil win in a fight against a skarmory in the johto series. I may be wrong but I’m positive my memory is correct
Technically magnemite is the first steel type, since it's a gen 1 who gained steel. But I understand where you're coming from
Yup i remember that episode
@@karinaquinn-rosewilliams7035 girl you tried it they said "first steel-flying" pick up a book and read the room. Magnemite isn't the first steel/flying type, grow up.

@karinaquinn-rosewilliams7035 they did say first steel/flying type.
Magnemite was an electric and later a steel/electric. Despite floating it was never a flying type.
I definitely remember the Braces in moonraker. That’s why they fell in love
Yes! That was the whole premise: They both had "metal mouths" :) 🤐♥🤐
I showed my parents MOONRAKER and Fruit Of The Loom for the first time today

And fruit of the loom having a cornucopia too !👍
FYI... my parents are in their 70s so saw Moonraker when it was new

And as a family we watched every bond movie over n over... year after year....
.
Jaws falling in love with the pretty metal mouth girl, was the most iconic moment of Jaws
All my friends, and I remember Nelson Mandela dying in prison, in the early 90's. We all remember the funeral too. I was surprised to find out he died in 2013, free.

Wow, never saw Babe with hair before. Maybe it means that pigs are more human than most people think

Babe had hair but there was also Gordy that was released around the same time so maybe people are remembering Gordy. I watched both all the time as a kid.

Ratatouille was one of my favorite movies as a kid and he definitely had facial hair. I’m not 100% but I feel like I even remember ratatouille pulling on it at some point in the movie. But not sure. But I do remember the facial hair
Who the ever living feck is gordy

Appreciate that! Thank you for watching
Moonraker is definitely the big one for me. She had braces when I saw this as a kid in England
I remember Jesus saying to LOVE your enemies (Luke 6:27-28)
Right, all time took the Luke 19:27 out of context. Jesus was telling a parable, Jesus didn’t have someone killed in front of him. He should go back and read it again.
“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one's foes will be members of one's own household” (Matthew 10:34-36).
Em tossed the mic in 8 Mile after saying, "Now, tell these people something they don't know about me."
Yeah, I also remember it this way 😅
exactly!
That’s so incredible! What are the odds. Great minds think alike!
Babe did not have hair....this is crazy!!! I also don't remember Alfredo from Ratatouille. *mind blown*
what about the pig from Charlottes web no hair there maybe you're got the 2 pigs mixed up
When have you seen a pig with hair?
Was finna walk out the door for work but guess what it's gonna have to wait until this video I been waiting for is over lol ❤ AllTime
Hahaha, well thank you
Yep braces, sticks in the mind as I had them at the same time.
This channel slaps my bro keep slanging em love and piece
Thank you man, I appreciate that
As a native Detroiter who has watched 8 mile far too many times, sometimes not by choice, occasionally locked up in the basement with Dr.Dre...mic was always thrown not dropped
My Dad brought my brother and I to see "Moonraker" in a movie theater when it was first released. Dolly had braces.

I know a lot of personal ones but im not sharing them anymore because I get 0 credit for the fibdings.
What happened to the video you just made?
Did they take it down or did you take it down?
For some reason my simple comment agreeing with you was removed first and then the video disappeared.
Yes,
I remember the whole audience laughing in the theater at the scene where she smiled,
revealing her braces.
JUST saw this from
Dolly | James Bond Wiki - Fandom
The actress who played Dolly, Blanche Ravalec, has stated that she didn't wear braces during filming which is correct. The braces were edited in during post-production and if you saw Moonraker at the cinema then yes, Dolly was wearing braces to make the comedy scene with Jaws. LOVE HOW THEY HAVE EXCUSSES
So are you saying you do believe in this particular Mandela effect or not?
@@timhollis3390 Yes i believe DOLLY HAD BRACES, this is just a made up story the same as C3PO's Silver Leg they said it was damaged just before filming began & did not repair it LOL
C3PO Was always all gold in my past
My scariest Mandela effect is also Pokémon related: I remember that Pikachu always had a black tail tip. But it changed!! His black tail tip is deleted from history.
Absolutely he had a black tip on his tail. That’s one that I still think about
Idk i only ever thought he didn’t have it
All my friends were like wow your crazy and stuff but yeah I was right
Yeah, and i specifically remember a zigzag transition between the dark tail tip and rest of the tail
Then I watched it again last year and, like you, I was totally blown away that Marvel star anthony mackie was in there 🤯
The mic drop was also in the parodies, never in the original movie ... and there were tons of parodies, hence the confusion ...
That’s really interesting to hear, thanks for sharing.

NO, Babe was an adorable little, NORMAL-LOOKING pig... The hair is beyond ridiculous... 🤦🏼♀️
And yes, Dolly absolutely had braces!
There’s no way he had hair I’m telling you I loved that film as a kid
I vividly remember watching this on tv with my dad when i was a kid and he belly laughed and commented on how she had braces

The Joan Jet version was definitely standing by the record machine.
The Joan Jet one convinced a friend of mine that the ME is real
@@timhollis3390 It is very strange. I don't know why the lyrics would be changed on purpose, there's nothing contentious about standing to need to change it to dancing.
No way Babe had hair! I don't remember it at all!
Babe looks too humanized with the wig, It is unsettling
In Moonraker, I believe the girl actually smiles first and shows Kiel she has braces, then he softens and smiles himself and shows a mouth full of metal too, so it was a match made in Heaven, so to speak. Their relationship makes no sense, otherwise.
100%
I believe there could have been two versions of the movie made, possibly one for the US and another for Europe, it could be possible that they used one version everywhere for the newer releases (I don't watch James Bond so I am not sure)
