Nice work! Thanks for taking the time to show us how to carve fullers. I've always wondered if putting a fuller on an SCA sword would make it fail an inspection. Now I will try it myself!
Good job. Some great tips. Could you either post a couple pics of your vise or post a diagram so I could make one. Also, instead of the round chisel to make you fuller, try using a spoon gouge. I made some very efficient ones out of old combination wrenches. Cut off the open end and sharpen one side of the box end. Since its tool steel, it'll hold a very sharp edge for a long time as long as you don't over heat it while sharpening. I find it much easier and controllable to pull a tool than push it. It is called a shaving horse. Instructions are all over the place online. Here's one video which looks a bit like mine. th-cam.com/video/smGWNVSJTME/w-d-xo.html
What kind of shiny tape did you use? Is that some kind of chrome duct tape? I only found "aluminum foil tape", but I don't know of that's sturdy enough for a rattan sword...
Where did the wide Rattan come from ?❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you great edamakation
I had never heard of BMH designs until this video! Very excited to give them a try!

I also wonder what tape that is. Don't use aluminium tape I have been told it can be sharp if it breaks.
