I'm cold then because I didn't cry for this. Episode 6 meant you got to know the characters well in Squid Game because you had time with them. I wasn't attached to anyone in this at episode 3. I mean it was sad but not a tear jerker for me

The way Kento Yamazaki cried and carried this episode with his emotions. The crack in his voice and his expression is everything. Really proves that he really is a great actor.

no joke, the amount of survivors guilt you'd have with "winning" this game is crazy.. after seeing the groups reaction it's scary to image how they would react if they had to play this round together.
I cried so much during this episode honestly. The way they got me attached to this friendship/characters in three episodes and just ripped it away from me was BONKERS.
bruh it *hit* when i understood what the actual game was when i watched it the first time round. from them hunting the 'wolf' down to karube and chota ended up hiding and arisu seeking like how the game was meant to be played from the start and the realisation was jut peak
absolutely incredible episode
Squid Game episode 6 ruined me but THIS … this scene. In SG you knew some of them would die, they prolonged the inevitable throughout the whole episode (which made it that much more painful). But AiB caught me by surprise, and Arisu’s friends sacrificing themselves for him was just rough. Also this was only episode 3 like 😭
For Arisu they’re more than just best friends. They’re like his brothers/family. Cause he was clearly ostracized by his family but it was because he has two of them that he was able to hang on.
When I tell you this episode broke me, it BROKE me. I was ugly crying after i watched it. To this day I still can't believe they died like that and on EPISODE 3 like come on I just started to show!
sheera is the first reator i've seen realize the empasis on the hide well sheep. every other one thinks it's some kind of loophole but no it's emotional because a lot of people will play with their friends/comrades
Yamazaki Kento's acting is just so superb. The way he was screaming, you can feel all the anguish, the pain.
I watched this show when it came out but this episode traumatized me for life. That was really painful 😭
Painful but also brilliant. The way they set it up that the stakes are higher and anyone can die.
Kento Yamazaki's scream of pain and despair in the end. That literally hit me in the feels, it's so powerful.
Chapter 11 in the manga if anyone wants to compare the game to the tv show there were quite a few changes made for the tv show, like how in the end Arisa never sees any of them die since they stay hidden from him and he cannot bring himself to see their bodies in the end also the woman has a change of heart and runs and hides by herself and is not forced to do so, which is why she is so fondly remembered in future chapters as one of Arisa's closest friends. He even thinks of her all the way in the very final chapters of the series as one of the 3 he lost who were most dear to him.
In the manga, this was 13 chapters in. Seeing there was still 50 chapters, I did not want to believe that his friends literally died this early. Literally cried with Arisu.

If you knew the manga it doesn't end there Arisu will come into a room with a reward of a freaking sheep dish. Its like saying that's the reward for betraying your friends also like serving it to him with the memories of the others being the sheep

Roshi and Lupa were basically me the whole time I watched this episode, hoping some kind of plot twist 😅

I read this theory: Most of the "weapons" actually looked like tools. What if the 1st wolf was supposed to disconnect the collar from the headset using the tools laid out in the beginning. And it seems possible that the eye tracking device could function without the collar. Then once the first wolf disconnected his collar from the head gear he can then pass the wolf to the next sheep and help disconnect their collar and so on and so forth until 3 collars are disconnected and only one wolf remained. And I don't want to give anything away to those who haven't finished the series but with the dynamics of the game and creators it makes sense that there were only 4 headsets, and why exploding collars were used right after the tag game, and why it was even a hearts game to begin with.

I cried my eyes out, snot and all when I watched this episode. It was brutal asf. That's how I knew this show was gonna be a roller-coaster. Don't become attached to nobody because they'll probably die.
Fun fact: games that doesn’t involved killing (like death is needed for it to start) can be cleared without anyone dying. I think the most emotional part about Arisu crying is that he probably realize there was a way to save everyone.

Apparently, the author stated that there is a way to complete the hearts games with no one dying. I think people are so conditioned to betray and be selfish when a hearts game appears that no one will work for the benefit of everyone and so people die
Bro first, second, and third time watching this scene I always cry . 😭
Now, this is just me, but this episode got me more than Squid Game because the friendship was there. Even if we got a little time with them, we knew their friendship strong as if they were family. Arisu’s friends saw the potential in him when he couldn’t; especially since his own father and brother would constantly trash talk him. His friends, by giving up their lives, are saying, “You’re worth more than that.”
With Squid Game, I was sad for a while, but at the end of the day, they were all fighting for survival, so I could understand where each person was coming from. Sung Wo also convinced me an episode later that these were all people who we have met within a course of a few days. It’s not like they had a life long, deep connection. Now, if we got the perspective of the man who committed suicide because he played that game with his wife, that for sure would have hurt me a lot more, but Squid Game episode 6 was something I got over rather quickly… that is until the last episode. When the twist was revealed, I was disgusted; absolutely disgusted. So, now when I think of episode 6, I just feel like I’m being manipulated and completely betrayed.
There are a lot of factors that are brought up about Squid Game that makes me less emotional towards that show. Not less emotional like I don’t care, but more like I understand that these people chose to play. Everyone has a reason to be there. They are not being forced to play this. They would all die eventually; they just chose where they would die. In the games, or killed by the gangs out in the streets. Alice in Borderland, though, they HAVE to play, and they have to chose which one of them gets to live in the end.
Now, at the time, no matter how attached the main character became to the old man in Squid Game, I really couldn’t tell if he regretted cheating the old man for his marbles, because he did want to live. At least, that was the vibe I got. He didn’t want the old man to die, but he did want to live more. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have cheated the old man. But when the main character confronted Saung Wo in the next episode about cheating Ali, I was like, “But you cheated the old men, too, didn’t you?” I know he felt horrible about what he did, be he still didn’t own up to his actions. But at the end of the day, what does it matter if he regretted his decision or not? At the end of the day, everyone was fighting to survive, even when they were playing against people they just met within a course of a few days. I’m sorry, but life long friends, who see you as family, accepting their death to insure their other friend will live hits a lot more. Because they believe in him and they see the potential he has, even when he doesn’t see it. That hits a lot more for me that Squid Game; Especially since all I feel is betrayal whenever I think of episode 6 now.
When I think of AIB episode 3, I feel hurt. When I think of SG episode 6, I feel like the old man is saying, “Gotcha, sucker!”

Seriously though, this episode hits like a sucker punch from hell. When I first watched it, I had to rewind this shit.
Just get ready guys, the show starts climbing further from here. Shit gets weird and wild each time. This was just the start of the emotional breaking point.
I'm still convinced there was a way for them all to survive the game. Those tools could probably remove the explosive collar, then the wolf wins, and the other 3 collars explode, but they're removed, so no one actually dies.

I know it's over a year ago, but there is a confirmed way to beat this. The wolf can have the collar removed with no repercussions, it's only the sheep that can't. So, become the wolf, have a sheep stand behind you and cut the wires to the collar, then have the wolf look at a sheep so they become the wolf, then repeat. It's definitely not a solution anyone in that situation would have thought of, though.

Little did I know or want to accept just how high of a difficulty 7 really is.

Damn this adaptation, did this challenge well, because in the manga the sheep’s were literally running away, from the wolf.
The creator revealed that there actually is a way to solve the game! Something about the first wolf shouldn’t have locked eyes with a lamb.. so if chota kept the wolf at the start they would’ve all survived!
That doesn't make sense, and it violates the rules. If that's the case, the players can't have eye contact. What if they already locked their eyes from the start and it switched? The game was flawed, like seriously.

But this doesn't happen since chota made eye contact rt at the beginning! If u clearly notice at the climax of this episode they highlight the rules of this game....They just had to follow it....

The possible solution to this game is to sacrifice 1 person and save other 3.
If sheeps manage to hold onto the wolf without the wolf making eyes contact with them, they can cut the wire of the wolf collar.
Then there's 2 things that can happen.
1. The wolf collar explode right away.
2. The game stop and they all live
Even the worst case scenario when the wolf collar explode and the wolf die. He/she can't make eyes contact anymore cause he/she is dead. Since the game require 2 sides to play, one side losing usually means other one winning right?
