How come David sent the Cards from Richard? I suppose after what Gail said, maybe it was true what she was thinking. David was definitely sorry for what he did at the very end because you could tell by his face and it’s still something that I’d never do and I’m not sure whether David should’ve been punished or not tbh.
He sent the cards to split Gail and Phil up, the family thought it was Phil sending the cards because he was doing a thesis on serial killers or rather expoiting what the Platt's had been through. Gail worked out it was David because one of the cards had blood on it and David let slip he had a paper cut. Because the police were involved Gail sent David down to the police station and he was told off. Audrey and Sarah were also deeply disgusted with David. Knowing his actions hurt his family is punishment. I think David was also upset his Dad moved away.
She annoys me at times too I think the problem with her is she cares more about herself than others. Cos it’s easy for to blame David but she doesn’t understand everything that he went through growing up

Helens acting was brilliant here. No matter how many jokes are made about gail as a character, helen delivered this scene perfectly.
