    This completely solidified my decision to get the lifepac curriculum. I've been looking into it for a few months and next year I'm definitely getting it!!

    Thank you for this review. We are transitioning from traditional schooling to homeschooling for our incoming 9th grader. Although we have been homeschooling our 1st grader since she was two years we are aware that it will be a totally different experience for our 9th grader who have been in a regular school all her life. We decided to homeschool her because she's been asking us to do so since we started homeschooling her little sister. With everything that's going on around these days we felt the need for us to be on top of our kids' schooling and to keep them safe at home.

    Excellent review. We just began using this program for our 4th grader. Very good learning materials. I noticed that in your 6 grade Lifpacs, the print appears darker than the 4th grade. The only complaint I have so far is the light print in the 4th grade material.

    I'm a new follower. We are entering our 3rd year of homeschool and my daughter sounds a lot like your Caleb! We get overwhelmed with too much put in front of us at once, and my daughter does not like to write a lot. So I try to help her learn to condense her notes, etc. This looks like a good fit for social studies on our 6th grade year! Thanks for the review, I look forward to following you to learn more:)

    Which curriculum do you choose for student lead and computer grading. My son is interested in homeschooling and is a senior in highschool

    Is this for the full year or do you need to buy every worktext separate? Thank you in advance.

    • @JolantheErb
      @JolantheErb  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You purchase a set of the workbooks for the entire year.

    Is there an answer key for every lifepac? And is this curriculum something students can do primarily on their own or is it more teacher lead? Thanks so much for sharing!!

    • @JolantheErb
      @JolantheErb  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brecht Party of 9 The answer key includes answers for every single one of the life packs in the set. They are broken up by unit and then broken down my number from then on out. It’s laid out very well. The kids can do them on their own very easily. I work through them with my son just because he struggles with reading but otherwise it would be something that I would be able to give him and tell him to work up to a certain point and he could read and answer the questions, and then I could check the answers.

    my son is interested in specifically learning the names and locations of countries. Is that covered pretty well in this pac? OR mostly history?

    • @JolantheErb
      @JolantheErb  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What age is he? While it does cover each continent in chunks, the focus is more on the history of various countries.

    • @JolantheErb

      When our kids were 8th grade we used North Star Geography (for high school credit) and that one is very thorough on covering countries and names.

    Anyone know how this compares to Master Books? Does this require any manipulatives or project time outside of the text books? My kids just aren't into that stuff and neither am I. They are all very independent and like text book work. lol We would like to find some really great text books that have textbook activities in them... that don't need a lot of outside resources (CD, Manipulatives, etc), to complete. Christian based is even better. :)
