Notes:
Justin's rockin some tall boots.
This show happened before LTIY was released and before the band toured as a 5 piece to support it.
The little feedback squalls for the last chorus on Look a Ghost are like a call-and-response, very cool.
Side Effects to Scarlette transition is so, so good.
Lifetime Achievement Award - instrumental here. Justin sings it in the Denton, TX performance since David Scott Stone could play the guitar part for him.
Thanks, Mike. Greetings from south Florida.
I love this footage, the setlist is the perfect escalation of their sound to the point where you hear someone around 25:47 ask "are they the same band?". This louder version of We Invent You is probably my favorite and the audience cheering after every new song almost makes me tear up.
Can't imagine how cool it would have been to see at the time, them starting out with some older songs then playing some of the most beautiful stuff you've ever heard.
Vernon's vocal in December was so smooth at this gig, really cool
What a brilliant and magnificent performance. Vern was an amazing bass player. Justin and Sara are also great. Man, I really like this band.
Vern's voice at the beginning... miss you my dear friend
R.I.P Vern 🥺
what an absolutely phenomenal performance. this is one that forces you to just sit there, mouth agape in awe, witnessing the glory of it all, start to finish. so glad the audience erupted with applause at the end of terminus, even if no amount of praise would be enough to match the magic they just witnessed.
Seeing them in March! So lucky!
yoooo me to, DC show?
Always a happy day when I get to watch a new Unwound video I haven't seen :3
the best band of all time

I'm planning to go so excited!
Unwound are going to play?
They're still doing dates...gonna see them in July. :) They're doing Best Friends fest in Las Vegas this summer too.
Wow thank you so much, hard to find performances from this era right before leaves
omg i need to see them sooo badly
You can definitely tell they're totally charred. But it's intense to watch and sounds great for the time. Good to hear these rare versions post LTIY. Even better to see them do every song justice, live...flawlessly, three times in the last year. Long live Unwound!
New uploading! Thank you so much!!! Love Unwound
Unwound is Epic Forever 😜❤❤ Amazing Brilliant!
right before you posted i was thinking about how awesome it’d be for you to upload an unwound set
holy shit they played a lot of leaves stuff. i wonder how many of the folks in the audience knew they were witnessing history in the making?
and also, quick question: the show almost seemed stacked! how many people were in the audience? were there other bands on the bill as well?
@@zodismegalame hi zen
@@zodismegalame just Unwound. They listed this show on their archive site and it shows that it was only them.
@@StaggaLags damn, pretty cool
Thank you so much for the upload
thank you Sir!
side effects scarlette transition WOW
Is it white Epiphone ET-270?? Never seen this guitar in Justin's hands before. Vern used an interesting semi-acoustic guitar as well
Yes, a red Epiphone ET-270, just weird color from the video. Was stock, then a humbucker was added in the bridge, then the front pickup disintegrated, then it reappeared with a different pickguard and a P90 in the bridge position (a picture from this show made it into the What Was Wound booklet).
@@StaggaLags , oh, understand, thank you for this information!
