Bouldering/wall climbing is the most fun way to get some upper body strength.. Start with easy indoor routes and move to tougher ones as you develop. It gets crazy addictive when you start noticing how you improve and solve routes that you couldn't previously..
Can use bands for assistance, or do "negatives". Basically jump up and start the rep from the top and try to lower yourself as slow as possible. Then jump up again and repeat. Any kind of upper body pulling exercises should help as well (Lat pulldowns, dumbbell rows etc) I can smell a new video series already 😉
Omg I could make a video every day out of my lousy physical condition 😄
This was also what I was going to recommend. I still do them to burn out the last few sets when I can't do anymore, and full range of motion. Then when there is nothing left do shrugs... hang on the bar with your elbows slightly unlocked and just try and shrug your chest and shoulders up toward the bar several times. I also recommend alternating your days; pull-ups & chin-ups one day then push-ups the next. With pushups, you can pump out as many as possible, then go to your knees and burn out the rest. ... you can also do shrugs from the plank position as well.
@RoyRissanen yeah! That’s good advice! I’m going to do exactly that! Btw, let’s grab coffee or lunch again soon! 🙌🏼
Nice office, Luke!
Thanks 🙏🏼 My first office ever 😀
Might want to use a rubber band for assisted pull ups at first to work your way up to full body weight pull ups
Good idea ☝🏼
ok
pull ups and push ups👍only two excercises you'll need at the start
Definitely doing both 👌🏼
