Songs recorded in the 1940's with footage from the 1900's. More than any other performer, Edwards was responsible for the soaring popularity of the ukulele in the 1920's. Millions of ukes were sold during his time, and Tin Pan Alley publishers added ukulele chords to standard sheet music. Edwards always played Martin ukuleles.
