About the Bottega Veneta: It’s not bad customer service, it’s horrible customer service. So sad, because the sandals are gorgeous! Maybe find a local cobbler or someone who works with leather to make 2 new straps.
For real. I’m bad and I’d never buy from them again just for that reason. 💀
Shoe maker-shoe repair shop should do 2 new straps for sure!
That's not bad custom service, or horrible - it's appalling! In fact, that attitude does not constitute any form of customer service - it's customer dis-service. Shame on the brand, I hope they go bankrupt and Allana, please think 10 times over before giving them any future coin.

Dyeing the staud dress a darker color would make it so that no sweat shows. I think it’s a great idea!

I would definitely keep the CD bag. It has a timeless feel to it so even if you are not using it now, you may use it later, and even if you decide to sell it in 10-20 years, you'll make money on it.
That dress deserves a second life, dyed! The fit it's absolutely beautiful on you!
For your Bottega sandals, the gold chain idea sounds lovely. You can also get matching white silk scarves and spice up the shoe too!
Okay, you can never give Bottega Venetta any of your money ever again. That is such unacceptable customer service for an expensive item. Do try to get a strap (or two, to make sure they match) made somewhere else though, so the shoes actually get some wear.
Definitely try to dye the linen dress. Since it's ruined anyway you've got nothing to lose. Check the fabric composition - since they say the body of the dress is 100% linen it should dye with normal fabric dye. I wouldn't use the kind you throw in the washing machine since the dress is dry clean only (although we know how that turned out 😫); do it by hand in the sink.
Please make a video of the process! It'll be a fun experiment and the revenue from the video can help recover the cost of the dress 😅
We should definitely be holding luxury brands more accountable for their customer service! When you spend the equivalent of rent on a pair of shoes, that even at a third of their retail price would be a monstrous markup for the company, you expect the whole customer service experience to be equal to your investment.
They are already getting away with scam level prices, so why would they suddenly care if you hit a road bump somehow? We are honestly so indoctrinated to just consume the latest thing they are betting you lose concentration and will soon be distracted by another trend and another shiny thing. So they are behaving consistently, if badly and we are behaving inconsistently by suddenly expecting customer service. All our fault!
Until you get a local cobbler to make you matching straps-you could buy white leather lacing and thread it through for a wrap-around tie look. Hobby Lobby or Amazon 😊

Girl, wear your blue Hermes sandals!! Before you even said it I was like “oh that’s a cute pop of color for like jeans/shorts and a white tee, or a white/beige/cream summer dress.” If your wardrobe is mainly neutrals, then that should go with almost all of it. They’re a gorgeous color!

Definitely dye the Staud dress to black / navy, that would be so nice!!!
Don't do it yourself though, that will create more mess and potentially more trouble. Take it to a professional re-dye service.
Wear the suiting as separates. The blazer with some jeans the pants with a funky top. You're looking it as a suit, my advice is don't! You could also rock it as a suit for weddings instead of a dress, lean into tux vibes, give Dejan a run for his money.
Dye the dress for sure, turn her into the best memory, OR sell it to someone who would love it.

DO keep the baby CD bag. The more unique size and print makes it absolutely timeless and you know it’s only gonna become more special the longer you have it. I think this summer with a white look or a linen look, it could be SO chic for a little brunch.

A great friend of mine dyed her wedding dress (Vera Wang) and has worn it again and again for formal events. So definitely room for redemption for the Staud dress - the cut and fit were so nice!

For those Bottega Venetta sandals, with the missing strap, instead of getting a matching strap made, I think you should just get soft leather laces/strips that can be tied in a contrasting color like tan, orange or black. It’s an easier fix that can make the shoes even better in the end.
Also the blue sandals would be perfect with white for all your wedding outfits!! Your something blue!
Pair the suit with a bright color top. Always have it be bright. And, try it out with a satin crop top, a ruffle blouse, a satin cami top, or turtle neck. each of those should add either a nice silhouette or a feminine bright touch.

I think the grey suit paired with a while bralette, your white jimmy choo’s and and a diamond tennis necklace would look amazing for a night out. Also, the blazer draping over your shoulders paired with a silky slip dress.

I think dyeing the dress is a great idea, maybe a nice mid-tone brown or even chocolate brown? The cut is so pretty and looks so great on you. The strap odyssey is beyond belief, what terrible service. Maybe a local shoe repair shop can make 2 new straps for you? Crazy thought, does Amazon sell sandal straps?? lol they seem to sell everything else. Loved this video update.
Fun video! this is what I would like you to try: for a day (or just a few hours) when you are at home and not going anywhere or filming or anything that you necessarily need to be dressed up for, I want you to wear the blue shoes and the grey blazer suit and the last pair of sunglasses (put them on a gold necklace chain or something and use to accessorize like jewelry rather than killing your head) and just go about your day in that outfit and notice not how you look (don't even look in the mirror at first!), but rather how you FEEL in the pieces. Do you feel powerful? Fashionable? Confident? Strong? Or do you feel uncomfortable, silly, awkward, etc.? See what this little experiment does foe you. :)

I recommend LeSpecs for sunglasses!! They have a million designs and are so affordable and of excellent quality.
If you want custom straps for the shoes, an old school cobbler could do it. They can basically rebuild a whole shoe, so straps would be really easy.
I'm sad at Bottega for not helping with the strap...v bad service imo. Anyway, can you wear them with out an ankle strap? If so, maybe have the back piece removed? If not, don't your new Jennifer Chamandi flats have removable ankle straps? Could you use those? Love your fav pics, but also with a little effort you could have almost twice as many. Make a pile for the next style session with Allision and ask for help! She did you good last time! xo

Bottega Sandals: ok, idea! Purchase a pair of (cheaper) white strappy sandals with a removable ankle strap and use these new straps on your precious Bottegas!
What about trying some ribbon bow straps on the White Bottega sandals? What about pairing the canvas Dior bag with the grey Magda blazer? What about pairing some trousers you do like with the grey blazer? It is such a nice blazer. I am thinking two pieces under it like a white shirt and dark sweater, or a corset top.

Love the Dior bag. Oh!! If u can get that Staud dress colored in black u can use your Dior bag to go with it beautifully 💕.
You can change the fit of the sunglasses yourself by heating the ends with a hairdryer and VERY carefully bending them how you like. A tiny bit at a time and repeat until they feel good. I’ve done it to some prescription glasses that were too tight and it worked great. You have to be very careful and patient though, so you don’t bend too much and snap them! On second thought, maybe just take them to a professional! 😂
I'm glad for the inclusion of the East-West Celine bag. I have a similar bag that's slouchy and was going to get an organiser insert. But it will change the line of the thing and it will no longer be slouchy. Some things are best left alone.

Great video, Allana! Those two pairs of sunglasses are both SO good on you! I believe you can take them to any store that sells eyeglasses and they can be adjusted to fit you better. I have the opposite problem, with a small head, and I always need to get my eyeglasses adjusted to fit me so they don’t fall off. 😂

I’ve been on the hunt for an evening bag for ages, and I finally bought a Zadig & Voltaire Rock bag last week. It wasn’t too expensive, roughly 300 euros, but it’s still a sizeable chunk of change for my budget. It’s a good thing I bought it when I did, because 2 days later I saw your Dior club bag and fell in love. It’s EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for, and I would love it forever, but I really shouldn’t spend that kind of money on a bag! If I hadn’t already bought the ZV bag at literally 1/10th of the price, I probably would have talked myself into buying the Dior! 😂

If you google “replacement ankle straps for heels” I’ve seen a lot. I don’t know if they will match your shoes exactly but you could even use different colors for different events. Like gold, black, silver, etc. Hope you find something that helps. And when looking at an item and trying to decide if you want to keep I always ask myself “is it a hell yeah? and if not, it should be a hell no” because you should love everything you keep ♥️. Definitely dye the dress! #everydaymay
