Candy, my hubby and I go to the outdoor theater for $5.00 A piece. When I was a child, outdoor theater was all there was, if you wanted to be able to afford going. My children used to come home with movie passes that were cheap but ALL THOSE OTHER kids on the same day!!!! Lord did I hate that. My kids loved it though.

Menudo is so wonderfully flavorful. You really shouldn’t try our traditional food like that from just any restaurant. You also need to add lemon juice, diced onion, cilantro and eat it really hot. So called Mexican food in Vegas is a joke. 🤦🏻♀️
@Damon christopher My family is from 4 different regions in Mexico and our menudo doesn’t smell bad. We visit my in laws in Vegas a lot and I always try different Mexican food restaurants because I love the food of my culture but I’ve tasted some pretty bad food there.
I didn't know how to eat it, but the actual taste of the tripe was very off-putting and I don't particularly like cilantro. I can't see that helping. I imagine a Mexican granny's home-cooked Menudo would be something I would enjoy trying. I'd give it a chance.

I know one of my Besties loves Menudo! Her family was raised on it. My Mom loves it as well, even though I don’t. I think it’s great to try new things, even if they aren’t the thing for us. Still, a little tact goes a long way when describing things that have been a part of peoples culture for ages. Like many of the foods that you grew up eating. Just a thought.

For the menudo you add onion, cilantro, jalapeno and a bit of lime and eat it with warmed up corn tortillas
menudo was to be the obligated choice to start with....it has to be eaten whilst very hot. You squeeze a little green lemon (to you it’s lime I think) , add a pinch of Mexican in oregano. prepare your tortillas roll them up in your hand an dig in! Bite your tortilla en soup up the menudo. That’s it. Enjoy!!!!!.....if it’s done right it shouldn’t smell at all!!!!!!!! ....you were given badly cooked menudo also called panza. It smells because it wasn’t cleaned and washed correctly.....yep, you’ve got to get rid of all that poop!!!!!

Candy, my hubby and I go to the outdoor theater for $5.00 A piece. When I was a child, outdoor theater was all there was, if you wanted to be able to afford going. My children used to come home with movie passes that were cheap but ALL THOSE OTHER kids on the same day!!!! Lord did I hate that. My kids loved it though.
