Just letting you ranked newbies know, at 900s+ jump serves become less needed. 90% if the time (good skill lobbies) players will receive the ball and most likely will ape in your direction. So either be wary of how much sprint you use or just go for the basic f serve! ofc acing is nice and can carry you. Double edged sword :gasp:
@@sand9346 100% yea, it is true that you see a lot more save serves in RVL and scrims but i still think a well-placed jump serve can still be really effective. if you manage your stamina wisely (4-5 stamina for the serve) and mind your positioning it can still put pressure on the other team. plus, the added speed and unpredictability of a good jump serve can catch even skilled players off guard, making it just as reliable as a safe serve in the right situations
@@senessax that’s fair, issue is even using 4-5 stamina it’s gonna be tough to withstand a long rally. Even if you do get a n ace is it’s just not that worth it. My opinion though.
@@jeremy9189 rarely ever happen in high Elo lobbies (yet again). I do, do the glide curve serve and at most I get 2-3 aces per game. In 1k I’ve got 3 aces at most. And on the rare 1.1k lobbies I get 1 to no aces. Sometimes it’s just not worth doing it. And counting on player error isn’t really the way to go since if they are making mistakes like receiving with 15 power it’s a one off thing or they just trash.
A tip for u is uh play with your serves a lot like experiment different powers like 15 pwr spike serve doesn't always score u can try pwr 10 to get the people lacking sometimes or 13 maybe so keep trying stuff around (can be done with kiro too)
I absolutely love how you explained the jump curve serve. However it isn’t always necessary to hit it at max height as you can rotate your camera to get more height on the ball and wait a bit more. This then makes the ball lower and faster and harder to read. Float serve isn’t really needed and just an easy receive . Still a good thing for beginners. This is basically a beginners guide on the game and in all honesty, it is actually decent but when you say where to aim the ball when spiking, hitting corners won’t be the Meta as experienced players (like me) can easily read the ball movement. So basically metas are the middle spikes, and around the middle of the sides
wow i appreciate the feedback a ton man! this made me rethink where i place my serves and just my overall serving routine haha. i mindlessly believed that aiming for the corners was the most strategic move haha. it didnt cross my mind that they might be more prepared for corner serves, which could make a well-placed serve to the middle unexpectedly effective!
i binded sprint and dive to my mouse buttons, my toggle stopset is left control, and my powers are 3, 9 and 15 but everything else is default. oh and i change my lightings like everyday lol its never the same
