Jake is always great on SNL because he COMMITS. There's a big difference between the actors who totally phone it in and don't try and the ones who actually treat it like the job it is. Bravo, Jake!
Totally! Commitment to the role is what's always set the best SNL guests and cast apart. Phil Hartman was the ultimate example of this. Jake did great, but that's no shock because he is an incredible performer.
For those who don't know, DO NOT use an epi-pen on the neck. Use it on the *outside* part of the thigh, about halfway down it.** Avoiding major arteries/veins is VERY important. Most auto-injectors will work through jeans, so you don't have to worry about removing clothing first. Use a swinging motion and push hard for the click, hold 3 seconds, remove and massage area hard ("noogie") for 10 seconds. Bring the used epi-pen with you to the hospital or give to the EMT if you called an ambulance. Most epi-pens's effects only last for about 20 minutes. It's NOT a cure; it's meant to buy you time to get to a hospital. Be informed, be more prepared to save a life! (**Edit: I had written that the butt was an acceptable place to administer an epi-pen, and I was wrong. DON'T do that. Always go for muscle, not fat.)
Maybe this is an origin story of Cookie Monster. Just like Gollum was Smeagol until he got the ring and then turned into that gangrel creature - Cookie Monster was a hottie who looked like Mysterio until he ate one too many cookies and turned into that blue monstrosity.
I forgot it wasn't real too. I was like "Dang! A real person is really shoving his fingers down another real person's throat!". I had already begun calling the police when it occurred to me that if I phoned it in, I could be called as a witness at the trial and that could disrupt my social agenda. So I told the police I didn't see anything and I was just calling to make sure everything was ok down at the station. I call that a crisis narrowly averted. The acting was just so believable, you know?
Fun fact: Gilbert Gottfried actually was a cast member on SNL. It was during the early 1980s, when Jean Doumanian was showrunner and pretty much ruined the show. What's even more shocking is that Gilbert Gottfried back then didn't have the loud, obnoxious voice he was known for. He sounded shy and quiet.
Maybe it's not a bad enough allergy for that to happen. There are many different degrees of severity of food allergies. There are people who are even technically allergic but still get the approval from their doctors to keep eating the allergen in small amounts. There is still always the risk of anaphylactic shock, though, so even people who can still eat the food should still carry an epi pen.
@@bbarnhouse9022lmao. Do you really have so few friends to the point that the only way you can get people to talk to you is by using rage bait? Try going outside. Stop doing things like this and maybe people will want to be your friend

Dismukes is quickly becoming a favourite for me - he took a little while to find it, but it's nice to get cast members with a specific comic voice and style rather than just jack of all trades and impressions - The Jumanji skit and this are great, and im sure he was involved in the writing.
I feel like one of the writers is really dealing with the concept of marriage/engagements. The Ryan Gosling sketch a couple weeks ago with all the whispering was awesome, too. I hope they keep dealing with their personal dilemma in this fashion. I dig it.
I was so happy at first, once I saw that finally there is someone else who eats cookies with such a passion, same as I. Then I realized, oh this is a comedy video.....
The best part is that if Andrew really has a peanut allergy, then the dad jamming his fingers down his throat will probably trigger it, considering he still has residue on his hands.
"B!tch, I always got crumbs on me! That ain't suspicious at all!" That killed me. 😂
Lmao agreed that's the best line.
I was laughing so loud that I missed the rest of the skit and had to rewind😂
Me too😂😂😂
I learned something today: Jake Gylllenhaal with a mouth full of cookies sounds like Adam Sandler.
🤔 😲 😂
He also sounded like Gilbert Gottfried at the very end

Exactly! There are so many sketches that fail because their acting is below amateur. (See Pete Davidson) Or they just giggle the whole time.
SNL is at its best when the concept is just something unhinged.
Except this wasnt unhinged. I mean, it could have been way more unhinged
It wasn’t their normal manipulative dribble, it was actually just a joke, that’s a refreshing change.
@SRose-vp6ew
I think you meant “drivel”. Try and not and get manipulated by an SNL skit.

So this is Cookie Monster out of costume.
I was about to comment that lol. Good one

Who knew jake would go full tim Robinson in this sketch i sure didn't 😂.
that's what I was thinking the whole time!!
This is so true
Tim Robinson is the greatest comedic actor
We're all trying to catch the guy who ate that cookie.
Even his shirt situation was complicated!
This is going to be a SEVERLY underrated sketch. It’s so simple but so well writes and performed so well!!!
This reminds me of _The Engagement - SNL_ skit, done just about a month ago.
Everything is not underrated. This is rated just fine

Honestly this scene could have been like 17 minutes longer with the dad keeping bringing up the cookie and it wouldn't get old.
Dad did stick his hand down the guy's throat, so he actually should be having an allergic reaction
He isn't really allergic to peanuts. That is just something they are taught to say in school so they can be special too.
