Sorry it's been so long since I last uploaded! I ran into some issues with this video, and have been incredibly busy with other projects too. I have some exciting tutorial pieces coming up, as well as some more product reviews too.
Unfortunately, I no longer have the time to respond to non-business requires in my DMs on social media, so be sure to ask comments in the comment section- that's where I see and respond to them :) Plus, if you see somebody asking a question you can answer- please do (and I'll "heart" your comment!).

Right now, I started to draw a big bird, and the bird is in the front position, and I started with two circles, a small one, and a larger one at the bottom. Honestly, it looks horrible, because I did it very fast and without time. Thanks to this tutorial, I am going to do all these details! 😊 as always, Thank you very much Claudia!❤

Thanks a lot for the tips!! I really love those erasable colored pencils for sketching myself. They’re great!

Thank you for watching and commenting! :D Yeah! I don't feel like I could ever go back to sketching in graphite. You can't beat a colourful sketch :)

You're very welcome! I've also subscribed to your channel as well and can't want to see more content! :)
I've actually been using these mechanical pencils with colored lead. They're called "pilot color eno" if you're interested in searching them on amazon or something! They're really nice for big sketches when you don't want to sharpen your colored pencils several times. You might want to check them out if you haven't already. :)

I've heard of and seen Pilot Color Eno (and there are a few other erasable coloured pencils I've seen). I'm thinking about buying a few different ones and making a comparison video eventually.
I've only used the col-erase though- the reason why I was initially drawn to them is the vast colour selection. The great range of browns (and white, black and grey) is particularly useful for my pet portraits. :)

I want to draw birds a lot more, as I can only really draw dragons and wolves in a cartoon style, and dinosaurs in a semi-realistic style.
I like birds a lot as well but wow, I cannot draw them no matter how hard I try.
    This video helps a lot!!

How do you find your animal reference photos can there be a copyright issue buy using photos for a drawing?
I might take part in an exhibition for the London Wildlife Trust and I'm unsure on how to go about to find bird photos as I'm not a wildlife photographer myself.

    • @ClaudiaSketches
      @ClaudiaSketches  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes, there can absolutely be copyright issues when drawing from photographs! You need to have the correct permissions when using a photo- and without permission it's copyright infringement (and can have legal consequences). Watch this video for more information about copyright: th-cam.com/video/rWHdWSwM1-0/w-d-xo.html
There's a list of websites that I can recommend in the description of that video.

Would it make sense to sketch light outlines as you did on the left for overall proportions and then refine them as you did on the right?

If you want to draw birds, and enjoy doing it, then keep at it! It took me a long time to get to grips with drawing them. Learning is a process!

You'll need to pause the video for each step- the footage is sped up (the speed is in the top left corner). Otherwise the video would be very long. :)
