    I just got fiber internet installed where I live at. I went from 2.5mb down and .7mb up to 250mb down/up. I can watch these in 1440p now! Woop Woop.

    That was a fun display of carriers! I love the use of arbiters to cloak them, i feel we don't see that super often

    That game was epic. recalling his ground army to fight the goliaths that were fighting carriers was the winning move. I cant say I have ever seen that before :)

    This match is why broodwar needs a balance patch for tvp.
    Sinz is a A rank player at best. Fantasy asl level player. Yet, the noob wins because when you're protoss, sometimes you're just lucky

      Yeah it was a hideous match with the protoss player goofing several times and still winning. Carriers needed nerfs back when the game first came out and never got any. Goliath range was added in BW as an answer to guardians hilariously enough...a unit that was never OP. Either the interceptors needed to cost more, or they needed to be less durable. Or terran needed some kind of massive range boost on ghost lockdown.

      @@Ziegfried82 I agree, and terran needs some sort of early game pressure units. Like make firebats do full damage or something. Terran is the only race with 3 different damage types

      why not Valkyrie and not Wraith answer are the same. This is because of the psi strom and stasis.
      2nd due to different upgrades and different production facilities. Normally TVP won't have so much star port.
      3RD when the resources are used on Wraith or Valkyrie, it will leave your siege tanks wide open. Goliath is way better because of the same production facilities and the same upgrade with the siege tank. Goliath also can tank damage and support siege tanks better than air units. Battlecruisers are counter Carriers pretty well too... but not used in this matchup due to the same reasons.
      But I think Ghost's lockdown is underrated. The pros always said Ghost are too fragile and the upgrades for Ghost are too time consumed. I had to say when the opponent has more than 6 carriers, a lockdown is always necessary...even 2 ghosts exchange with 1 carrier that's Terran's advantage...

      @@fatemakeus I understand this, but the Valkyrie causes damage to the entire group at once, I’m not saying to build a fleet, it’s enough to drive the carriers with the Valkyrie and help with the Goliaths, it seems to me that 5-6 Valkyries are enough for 12 carriers, 2 of which can be thrown with a protective from scientific vessel, and if you remove the shields from the Protoss with the same scientific vessel, 5-6 Valkyries are enough to destroy the fleet

      @@Snetesov 1) Valkyries's AOE only works on carrier body shoot don't work against interceptor.
      2) Terran has no starport to build Valkyrie if you want to build Vessels.
      3) A carrier has 4+3 armor. A Valkyrie only has 8 damage per rocket. That's mean only 1 damage per rocket. It take 40 shots to kill a carrier. If you have 5 Valkyrie, you need to shoot 8 times together regardless the 150 shield...
      And Valkyrie cannot shoot ground units, it is a free target for Dragoons...
      And when you have 5 Valkyries they will kill them all with just 2 psi storm...

      @@fatemakeus I have now checked in the game, the valkyrie only deals damage to a group of Zerg air units, no damage is caused to a group of carriers :( i destroyed only 2 from 12 carries without shield by 8 valkyrie

    I don't know guys what was epic here. We played this way in early broodwar days. No spellcasting on both sides, just carriers and brute force. I mean nice, but nothing special.

      A massive skill gap overcome by making the I win unit in TvP, carriers. I don't consider this epic either simply a highlight of how badly balanced carriers have always been in SC1. Super strong unit with no counter play if you are terran. I did like how the protoss added to the OPness with the arbiter mixed in though! I remember waaay back playing SC1 and it was that carrier/arbiter that was simply unstoppable to us noobs back in the day. Low APM kids with no idea what we were doing but everyone knew the Carrier/Arbiter was OP haha!

      Valks are expensive due to having starports and different upgrade paths. Plus 2 psi storms will kill them easy. They also cannot attack ground units, so they are goon food. Splash only damages the main carrier but not the interceptors. Lastly, carrier armor is 4+3, valks do 8 damage, it’ll be pitiful.
      Goliaths on the other hand follows the same upgrade paths as the tank, making it cost effective, cheap, and a bit tanky to support the tanks. Plus the Goliaths hellfire missile range is huge.

      @@kentoylampingasan ghost lockdown needed the hellfire missile type range. There won't be any more changes to SC1 so it is what it is.

      Pretty much. Free win vs terran even when there is a huge skill disparity. Protoss goofed with the carriers several times and still won the match, even when caught out and getting several of them blown up! Terran has nothing like this. Zerg at least has defilers which are hard to use but once mastered are god tier units. Plague and dark swarm make carrier players cry. But terrans? They are forced to go mech vs protoss at the beginning and midgame due to bio being complete trash vs reaver/storm. Can't go BCs because protoss has like 3 hard counters to them: Scouts, Dark archons, mass dragoon. Can't use ghosts, the unit is too flimsy and even with ocular implant the range on lockdown is too short. Which leaves them with mass goliath or a wraith ball and both die to storms.
