Silva's getting much needed experience in these late game clutch situation. Once she learns to overcome the pressure, she will be a force against Kristen.
Silva has won many big tournaments in Europe and she appears to have pretty good nerves. Her problem is she has a pretty average backhand and no sidearm at all. I don’t think she can consistently challenge Kristen any time soon if she can’t improve her throwing.
Wow. What Kristin said at the end is so heart warming, so often do i fail myself and instead of giving myself grace I tear myself down. True inspiration
Kristin's interview at the end was very touching. She's obviously an incredible athlete, but the role model she shows off the course is wonderful as well.
I appreciate that this highlight reel told the complete journey of all three players - good and bad. Often, these videos only show the best shots. FPO field is so entertaining to watch. Rookies to Veterans - FPO is full of storylines. Thanks for sharing these complete yet concise videos.
Kristin has truly mastered the usage of the english language. Everytime she speaks in an interview it is extremely profound and touches the soul. She'll be the best mom of all time.
I agree - My kids have zero interest in my disc golf obsession, but I'm going to share this with them. Her mental game and self-compassion transcend disc golf and all sports.
Kristen you are a truly amazing and beautiful human being!A true showing of class, resilience, patience and dominance ! There is no question who the FPO Goat is!
Oh Evelina... I hope she learns from this and comes back stronger, that was painful. Kristin is a testament to the crucial importance of the mental game.
She hasn't learned it in all these years. Keeps making the same mistakes. Putts to the left side of the basket with heavy hyzer and then wellows in self pity for it not staying in. Sad to see always. If she got her head together she would absolutely dominate the field.
Yeah… same situation so far for over decade. But that is how it is, she also does incredible good long range puts, there just is rather high variation.
Sad thing is this is almost an exact repeat from her last meltdown. I cant recall which tournament. She has much improved since then but clearly there are still cracks in her mental game:/
My heart broke for Kristin yesterday, and it broke again today for Silva and Evelina. Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen all three of the top players on the lead card with such frazzled nerves coming down the stretch. I bet they will all learn from this crucible of experience. Big congrats to Kristin.
I'm still all in for Eveliina. Shes got sooo much power off the tee, and her putting has been outstanding up until these last couple of rounds. I swear Kristin was talking straight to her in her victory speech. It's not quite as sweet a win when you see your friends struggle, but a win all the same. Great comeback round, Tattar! Soak in all the experience you can, Silva! You're going to rake!
Pretty wild to see a tournament where 3 of the top 4 finishers (Saarinen being the exception), had a round of +5 or worse. Kristin did a great job of putting her 3rd round behind her and putting together a good round to put pressure on the others. I'll be honest, I was kind of hoping Saarinen would take this one down, but +2 in round 2, and even in round 4, just won't get it done. She's putting up some good results this season, but her hot rounds even with the putter on fire making circle 2 bombs, can't match the -9 type round that Kristin had in round 1, the "bad" rounds have to be a couple under. Still, she's consistently been in the mix when she doesn't win, hard to argue with her progress.
Indeed. Her friend Henna too. They've got such confidence on the tee pad. But they get yips with the putter. That lazy hyzer putt ain't mental tho. It can be fixed
@@nomadicivories she got a great mental game off the tee.. she’s got it in her. Fixing the yips goes hand in hand with a confident putting stroke which she needs to work on.
Great entertainment and awesome competition. I think silva is a clutch player who was put in this situation where she had to make something happen at the end. Sometimes when you go for broke you lose a stroke.
Greatest comeback? It was far more of a failure by the other player's than an amazing comeback, especially considering she shot -9 the first round and -5 for the final round.
@@roberthoeg1964 When the player leading the event goes +9 it absolutely changes it. You can omit what you want in terms of the details, but it wasn't even a good round for her, she shot -9 round one. Be real... an absolutely horrible performance on lead card led to a statistical first. Tattar is great; but this was a gifted victory not a deserved one.
@stitch438 seriously you don't think tattar was in both of their minds, a focused 🏆 will play the course not their opponents and 2 weeks in a row silva had her chance to get the win but it's the tattar factor 😉 both players where looking in the rear view mirror and tattar pounced on their mistakes cut and dry.
Kudos to Kristin here for the comeback. Very likable player. Doesn’t hurt when the leader completely self destructs. If Evalina and Henna could putt half as well as they can throw they would win every tournament. They putt worse than me and I suck at disc golf.
This event was one of the most crazy ones ive seen in a long time. Congrats to Kristin making what was one of her top 3 comebacks i belive. I also feel for Eveliina a bit cos that was a lot of bad luck shots.
Saarinen is just too dependent on the turnover and those understable discs are the hardest to predict. 2nd place to Tattar is really good. It would have been nice to see one of the other ladies step up instead of falling apart. Just like it was hard to watch Tattar collapse yesterday
You need to watch more disc golf to see why she is a pro. Or even yet just watch the first 3 rounds of her game. Her 3rd round was all nerves messing with her game. Knowing the Wolf is behind you all the time has got to be nerve racking
I have been watching the live coverage all weekend and I gotta share feedback with @DiskGolfProTour . The European announcer needs to be reminded of how to be an effective commentator. He was early calling and miss calling all weekend. Also, he was acting on the need to fill in the silence when us just watching a throw would have been better. He called scenarios that he needed to walk back because they didn’t play out that way. And what really ground my gears was on nearly every hole the call, “It’s in the bullseye!” when it was clearly not in the bullseye, sometimes nearly in C2. And lastly, he was clearly biased to the European players with his enthusiasm. Antila makes a basic throw and he was jumping out of his seat. An American player made a difficult shot successfully and the response was half as excited. Just be neutral and tell us the story that is unfolding. Don’t project or predict/call the results. Let the players play and tell us what happened, past tense.
Salonen needs to get a new putting coach, as in, scrap that crappy feeble wobbly hizer technique. And for the sake of all of us that have to watch her, get a mental coach. yeesh
@@andyhampsten4252 She'll stress eat herself to becoming 5lbs heavier to really boom it off the tee even further and double down on her strengths...only to her Kryptonite still gobble her up harder than that plate of cookies she's got stashed in her disc golf bag.

Feel bad for Salonen, she gets so close.
putting is part of the game, so you better exercise it often....
It's not about exercise, it's about mental. She makes one mistake and then starts panicking and then it's already game over.
Some practise and technique improvement wouldn't hurt even if the bigger problem is mental.
Top two both laying up on 17 for par is pretty lame... we need to figure out course designs to prevent this and encourage attacking the basket.
