I'm a huge fan of Sailor Moon and cried when I went to Universal Studios Japan in 2018 because I got to see their Sailor Moon theme and the 4D Movie, I was already 26 that time. It just proves that we just grow old but our hearts remain young. I know letting go of them is a huge decision. I'm teary eyed while watching your collection since I never had them and I know how much value they have. ♥️

Wow, nice Sailor Moon collection! Nice timing with the 30th anniversary of when the anime started too. The original English dub wasn't good(I did like some voices here and there, notably Sailor Mars) but I believe the original series got a new English dub 10-11 years ago that's more accurate to the Japanese version(they use the original names, etc). I haven't watched the new dub, so maybe someone who has can say if it's an improvement or not.
The English dub is truly awful. I started rewatching SM when I was 11, and I became a huge fangirl and I even made Sailor Moon AMVs here on TH-cam. I always cringe when I think about that lol! But also, it was such a fun hobby and I taught myself how to edit videos.
I would love some Sailor Moon stuff...sure not doing a giveaway? Dang lol I'm sure the people who get them will enjoy them 😁
14:07 I wholeheartedly agree, the animations for the first 2 arcs of Sailor Moon Crystal were awful. But they must have received loads of complaints, because for the 3rd arc they changed animators and it was much better done.

Sailor Moon and Sailor Neptune are also my favorites! I started collecting when I got out of college but I collect because when I was younger my family couldn't afford those things. Now, I have a career and the means to invest and collect. Collecting was not for our age when Sailor Moon first premiered 😅
I also enjoy collecting Sailor Moon fashion, not just the graphic apparel but the subtle looks for everyday wear. I have Sailor Moon cardigans, heels, boots, and even purses that I wear on the daily for the office.
I hope you kept some items as decor or even the makeup 👀 If you hadn't donated everything yet, you could also do some sort of Charity Bid Auction. That would be cool because you know it will immediately go to a home that would appreciate it and the money benefits a organization to pay for necessities. 🌙💕
is it weird that watching you let go of your sailor moon collection made me proud of you? that's such a grown up thing to do. i'll do that with kpop some day. but not anytime soon.😁
if you had the time, i would've recommended spending a few months selling your collection, piece by piece, to collectors or hobby shops. some of those pieces could fetch a pretty decent price, and your donation could be as convenient as a check or money transfer.

i'm a new viewer and didn't know you were a fan of sailor moon! the sailor moon crystal style is actually more close to the manga but I agree that the old sailor moon has more charm :) but maybe that's the nostalgia talking, i don't really mind the new sailor moon being faithful to the manga!

You should watch the live action Sailor Moon series PGSM. It's very Power Ranger like meaning that its super cheesy and over the top most of the time, but it gets better as the series goes on. It goes into a different direction but it actually is pretty cool. Just have an open mind to it lol.
I actually really loved Sailor Moon Crystal and the storyline especially how they gave Darien ❤ actual powers and is more loving towards Serena compared to the old version😊
I like how sailor moon crystal is more close to the manga. I think it's better than the original show from the 90s because the story line is more similar to the manga I used to read. If you prefer the true original story line of sailor moon then you would like crystal. They fixed the animation a bit in the other seasons too. Season 2 looks a lot better. Maybe you should try it again. I personally seen both and I prefer crystal, but to each their own. Love your collection btw!
