That first sniff of a brand new brand to your nose does that to me especially once you know blending is on point, the scent is complex and you can start thinking that this is a legit brand.
I have several Francesca Bianchis, many of them smell similar but with more focus on brighter notes, like Tyger Tyger is the "plainest" and The Dark Side is the "spiciest" one, Under My Skin is my favorite. Sex and the Sea is also similar. Great stuff.
I got under my skin and sex and the sea, under my skin reminded me lot of musc ravageur but a much better version, i tried etruscan water too but didnt get it, but i might, shes really blended all these scents brilliantly
When I'm trying a new brand and nose that is one thing I try to look into is blending and talent and it looks like I'm going to enjoy this brand from this first sniff. Thanks for sharing!
Even though I’ve only been watching yr videos for the last year or so…dude, you’re going to love this house. Layer upon layer upon layer, constructed with care and skill, the obvious quality of the ingredients - it’s gonna be a blast diving in here with FB. So far I’ve picked up Sticky Fingers, Under My Skin, The Dark Side and The Black Knight and there’s not a dud in the bunch. In fact they all shine individually while being distinctively her work. I might even pick up Byzantine Amber this weekend. Looking forward to yr reviews of this artistic house.

Pretty big bianchi fan. The Lover's Tale is by far my favorite ,but UMS and BK are solid. After you smell a few, you'll definitely start seeing a similar waxy/ buttery DNA like you mentioned in this video throughout the line

I'm glad that you did this review. The iris and musk combo threw me off when I first smelled it and didn't know how to interpret it. Only when I smelled my holy grail iris fragrance, Givenchy Gentlemen EDP, did I fully understand and love this one. She has 2 more beautiful musk fragrances, 1 gourmand, the other floral. Both are worth a sniff.
I too purchased this as a blind by. In fairness, 98% of my collection was acquired as blind buys. The point is, that I love this one! I get a slightly dirty or sweaty vibe, even though I don’t think there’s any cumin in this fragrance, but I also get the complexity. Most of all I find this to be an incredibly sensual scent. I could fool around and make this a signature scent if I’m not careful! 😉

I love that unwashed hair, or, for me, that just rinsed hair at the beach. You know when the person you are with comes back from one of those stand-up showers. A little sun to dry, nice. I have Sex and the Sea Neroli. DO NOT OVERSPRAY with this one. I had a decant of Under My Skin. I blasted through it. One of hers is like a Carner's Cuirs, Black Afgano type. I call them dark woody's. I'm not sure if that's what you are supposed to call them, oh well. I do want to pick up Wood Infusion someday. Not sure why, I certainly have enough of that genre. That genre is right up there with leather, animalic, and the smokey variety. I think Francesca uses Orris root in some of her compositions. Sometimes a little heavy. Francesca is a very nice individual to talk to. If you contact her, she replies. Pissara used to be like that. Another wonderful woman. Papillion Liz Moores is also nice. Nioami Goodsire is another house I like. I don't own anything from her house, nor have I had the favor of speaking with her. You should see if these women would come on your channel Marc. I think they would love the chance to.
I really appreciate your comment and love the detail and love for perfumery that oozes from it. As for having owners/noses on my channel, many channels do that well. I'm not sure my format is made for that, I would love to discuss perfumery one on one with others but not sure about the interview format is for me.

I'm glad I got a decant of this and didn't blind buy it like I almost did. I suppose my nose is broken because all I get out of this is a skin scent of powdery rose, with a slight smell of musk and oakmoss. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less. 🤷🏽♂️ I have no idea what reviewers are talking about. I don't get anything animalic, ambery, or leathery from this fragrance. A lot of people are suggesting this smells like a couple having sex, and all I can think is that they must not have much sex 😆 because I don't get that vibe at all, and let's just say I'm not into vanilla-flavored sex. So what am I missing here, because it certainly isn't sex in a literal sense, maybe just the scent of what I would call the smell of sex.😏 Maybe this is just one of those that needs more heat to develope on me 🤷🏽♂️ and yes I've worn it on skin several times already.
All our noses are different, no broken. There might be musks in here that you don't smell. Your nose may perceive things differently. It's always smart to decant and not blind buy.
@robes08 Yeah, I suppose you're right. I don't pick up much musk in this like I do in fragrances like Diptyque's Fleur de Peau, the Narciso Rodriguez's Bleu noir line, and my current signature scent Arabian Oud's Sultani.
This was an INSTANT ‘love at 1st sniff’! Still a totally successful purchase for me. So glad to see you dive into my favorite house.

I didn't like the pencil shaving woodyness in this at first but I'm growing to like it with the balsamic smooth resins that I always love

Wish I could help, I haven't smelled it yet.
This one is a monster on my skin. It lasted 3 days and showers and over powered other fragrances the next two days. 😂. Big performer for me.

Orris = Iris. It's the same thing.
@@robes08 to me orris has a more lacton scent then iris. Iris has a kind of earthy green scent.
