    Enjoyed the review. I have had my watch for about 8 months now and love it. As I watch various reviews, I pick up new tips. This one, I picked up the “plays as” feature. Will try it next time on the course. The new feature I am starting to use a lot in the U.S. is the wallet feature. I leave my wallet in the vehicle and pay for the round with the watch. I am also using it when I am out and about. My wallet is on my wrist and it makes it much easier than pulling out my wallet and getting out a credit card and then putting it all back away.

    • @GolfGuyReviews

    Excellent review, Ive subscribed and enjoyed watching many of your videos. In terms of Golf GPS watches would you go Garmin or Shotscope? I cant decide which way to go.
    Thanks

    • @GolfGuyReviews
      @GolfGuyReviews  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks James. If you're struggling to decide between those two brands, ask yourself how much do you really want to know all your stats for your golf? If you want incredible detail more than anything else (including build quality, battery life and wider watch usage than just golf) then go for the ShotScope, and my recommendation would be the new V5 watch.
      If you feel more strongly about ANY of the other elements I mentioned above, then I'd recommend going for a Garmin instead. Which Garmin will depend on your budget and what's important to you, which hopefully my videos will help you with.

    I’ve gone from a Tom Tom golf gps watch which lasted years, to aimbuddy and I can’t stand it. So now looking at this one, but one feature I always found really useful of the TomTom was the layup feature. It would show distances to leave a 75/100/150 yds shot. I have a regular Garmin watch with the golf app which does not have all the features but does the basics the same. I initially loved it but as I started playing more courses, I realized the maps can be incomplete, depending on the course. It sometimes doesn't register the location of hazards. Have you noticed that? I ended up using my GolfShot App on my phone which is much more complete.

    • @GolfGuyReviews
      @GolfGuyReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. I’ve only noticed it once, the watch was missing some bunkers and a pond. But to be fair to the Garmin watch, the same hazards were also missing on other brand’s gps units too, so I’m guessing they must using some of the same data 🤷‍♂️ generally though, I’ve not had a problem.

      Can’t say I’ve had that problem, but my s42 is only a year old, so I’m afraid I can’t really comment. However, the S62 does have far more sensors in it, so I would t be surprised if the s62 was more accurate and responsive in detecting when you’ve taken your shot

    This is a great review and has helped me alot with a potential purchase. The watch seems clunky and not really intuitive at all. IT seems as though you would spend minutes after every shot inputting data into it and just end up holding you up and slowing you down whilst playing.
    Not so sure anymore if i want this now.

      @GolfGuyReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Phil, you might want to check out my full review here - th-cam.com/video/fOpSHBBxgOk/w-d-xo.html
      You don't have to utilise the club tracking data after every shot, it's pretty easy to turn it off in the menu. In terms of usability, you can look at it from two perspectives - with touch screen and 5 buttons, it's pretty easy to navigate the menus and options once you get used to it....but with so much packed into the watch, there's a lot to get in your way if you're not comfortable using it. If you're not bothered about smart caddy, pin pointer and off-course GPS capabilities and health monitoring for non-golf activities then I'd recommend dropping down to the Garmin S42, or maybe even the entry level S12 - I've got full reviews on both :)

I'm not changing batteries on the course, also it really should be able to tell you which clubs are not registering. wasted money on CT10 until they change the programming.
