Mario Duplentere is also the sweetest human I've ever met. When I met him at a signing I told him how much he's inspired me in my music playing and just kept complimenting me and giving me helpful tips :). Favorite drummer by far

Fyi, the video is an extract from their concert at "Les Vieilles Charrues" festival, which is a festival that you can compare to a Lolapalooza edition. Having such a heavy band on one of the festival main event has got around a half of the crowd to go away. According to newspapers, neither Gojira or "Les Vieilles Charrues" staff do regret this from happening.

These guys are impossibly good live. With that said, I’d recommend hearing the album version first to get to know the song. This particular song is better on the album than it is live (my opinion). Keep the Gojira coming man, you won’t ever be disappointed.

For me, the feel, the sound, power and consistency, no one else is even close to Mario's drumming. He never shows anyone up and it just fits the music so flawlessly

The biggest poser band of all times. Lmfao, the worst album of 2017. No variety in the vocals or music. Power Trip is garbage.
Power trip- heretics fork, hornets nest, or drown. I agree that that their latest release wasn’t as strong.
Power Trips debut is good, but the 2nd album is complete crap. I think I'm the only person alive who listens to bands first for their vocals. Lots of popular band's vocals are annoying, such as Warbringer and Havok. Millions of unknown bands that are far better.

Definitely one of the best 5 metal drummers!!! What really matters is how clear he plays on live performances! Many drummers sound killers on the albums but live they are not so close or they are not even close at all!!!

mario is the brother of joe duplantier who is the singer/guitarist & leader of the band. they are both creators of gojira with the lead guitarist. He is now considered as one the best drummer in the world espacially since the "from mars to sirus" album which i recommend you so so muuuch. This band makes me so proud to be french ^^ . Bro you crack me up. Love your enthusiasm, and yes Mario is insanely good. I'm a drummer so I can tell you without hesitation that not only does his stuff sound incredible, the level of difficulty is straight up Ninja, especially since he plays it so precisely, every fucking time.

The are amazing live and Mario is an insane drummer. Sometimes Joe and Mario will switch places. Mario even gets usually a 15 minute drum solo every show. He is that good.

I remember the first time I saw Gojira, a little venue in London in 2008 supporting in flames, there's very few times in my gig going years where the support band has blown the headliner out of the water. That was one.
Gojira is one of those bands that you have to ease people into. I feel Stranded is definitely the best song to listen to as a newbie and then work your way up to this song. Even Global Warming would be a good start.

It was just released yesterday. Morton is the lead guitarist for Lamb of God and this is one of the songs off of his new solo album that's coming out soon. In addition to Bennington, who recorded the vocals shortly before he passed, the members of Trivium also helped in recording the other instruments on this track.

Mayan - Saints don't die for M... They are not massively known but they released my favorite album of 2018 and they are symphonic metal (so you'll definitely enjoy them).
