I'm from Tenerife, living in the UK now. If you ever go back to Tenerife you could definitely go to different places and different beaches, pleaseeeee!! La playa de las Teresitas is an artificial beach that many people from Tenerife actually HATE. The sand is disgustingly sticky, it's always windy and not a single wave in the sea because of the artificial dock that protects the beach from waves. The quality of that water must be not very good, so close to the polluted main capital. Usually only the people from Santa Cruz like it cause they don't have to go far for a beach. Next time you could try good beaches like Playa del Socorro, Playa de los Patos, Playa del Médano, Playa de la Tejita, Playa de Buenavista, Playa de los Hippies (also called Playa Diego Hernández), Playa la Fajana, Playa de las Vistas (more touristic) and all the beaches near this last one in Arona/Adeje coast (more touristic). Also the volcanic swimming pools you showed when you were in Garachico are not those ones. You didn't see them all. You have to go there to see them. Not many but not what you showed on the video.
Puerto de la Cruz is a nice town to explore on foot. One of the most touristic places from the north and one the best places to visit in the island. You have there the big swimming pools complex called El Lago Martiánez and also the beach. You also could go to places like La Orotava and San Cristóbal de La Laguna to admire the architecture of the old towns and of course to El Parque Nacional del Teide and its surroundings, one of the most beautiful places in Tenerife. At night there you can see every single star in the sky. It can be sunny and hot or cold, so be prepared. You'll also see what we call mar de nubes (sea of clouds) that it refers to the clouds below El Teide, they actually look like a sea made of clouds. You'll see that from the road to El Teide when you're approaching the National Park. In the south you have the Siam Park which is the biggest or one of the biggest water parks in Europe. And Punta de Teno is also a special area to visit around the lighthouse. Also you can see Los Gigantes cliffs from a closer view if you take a boat from Masca to Los Gigantes or you could go on Kayak from the beach and see how beautiful they are from a closer look. In Santa Cruz de Tenerife you can find the Museo de la Naturaleza y la Arqueología where you can see Guanches mommies and know some history about the first aboriginal people of the Canary Islands. Many other places to explore in the island apart from these ones.

Friend of mine who is headed to Madeira next month said that renting a car there is next to impossible because of the disruption caused by the pandemic. Here in Canada, we have a shortage of cars too because manufacturers can’t get enough supplies of microchips for their vehicles. Again thanks to the pandemic wreaking havoc everywhere.

Keep up the good work you two .

The truth is that the occidental islands are greener and the oriental islands are more beach/dune type, but you did not even visit the green Gran Canaria, like Tamadaba, Tilos de Moya, Valleseco, etc just Teror and no more, in Gran Canaria you dont have to go to the North, but to the CENTRAL NORTH of the island. Anyway, in summer Gran Canaria is more dry but you always find green in the central north like Moya, Santa Brígida, Valleseco, Tamadaba, etc. beautiful green spots, that is why Gran Canaria is known as a "little continent",dunes and forest in the same island.Enjoy in Tenerife and dont forget to visit La Palma, the "beautiful island", I guess it is the island which fits you more for rural/nature tourism you like. And if you want to have a beach near to your flat...Dont forget Las Canteras..hahahaha

The animals you showed in the pic near the beach are not sharks!!! Hahaha. Sorry but I had to pause the video and say that!!! They are actually a species similar to rays/skate which is a big difference to sharks. They are not gonna bite you. It's very weird to find sharks near the coast in the Canaries. I don't think anyone has had a shark attack in the Canaries ever cause you simply don't find sharks in the beaches. It's not Australia, or the Caribbean. Also it's not common to see rays in the beaches. They are in the water but probably not where people are swimming. Sometimes you can see them but I've never seen one in my entire life in the beach. It says in that pic that it's an endangered species. I think you could see rays more easily in less populated islands like in La Gomera and I've seen videos of people touching them in that island.
