Thanks, man! Really happy you liked it. Yeah, this is a completely different sonic world compared to the HOF2. HOF2 is like planet earth. It's nice and normal here. We can go to the cinema or planetarium if we need some otherworldly escapism. ROOMS is like living inside a David Lynch movie. It's stunningly beautiful, but also absurdly strange and crushingly brooding at times. There's darkness and light around every corner. There's the tangible and the utterly surreal, and it can be complex to comprehend at times. But it's always a stellar, intriguing and enriching experience to play.
Man, I'd pay for tabs of your demo riffs. Always top notch, man!

Picked this up a couple weeks ago and running on the aux send channel of my synth rig. More than lives up to the hype. It turned the budget groove Volca Sample into a Rolls Royce. Ace offering from the Death by Audio dudes.

Hahaha! If you’re referring to my outfit, then it’s because it’s summer here in Denmark and we’ve had some crazy warm days. There’s no ventilation or windows in the room, so jorts are sorely needed 😂 And yes, the pedal is just killer!

I bought the new Korg NTS-1 mini synth. Discovered that it's effects can be accessed and used very much like an multi-effects box. The reverbs are fantastic as well as the delays. Modulation is useable. It does ambient exceptionally well. For the $100 price tag and the distinct pleasure of assembling this cool little device. A killer deal. Then throw in the synth engine and it's excellent drones. Priceless. No reason to keep it to myself. It adds layers of ambience previously unattainable for a mere $100.

Out of all the high end stereo "super" reverb, this has has to be the best, really versatile, no menus and one knob per function, and as comes as standard with any DBA product, it's great for experimental Psyk noodling.

Its a powerful pedal no doubt, but it would be even sweeter if it has that option like what my neunaber immerse does when it naturally trails off after it is bypassed. I’d love to know how it compares to the Red Panda - Shields has been seen using the red panda v. 1 for gated mode. Now the v2 adds reverse reverb! It’s so stunning! Great sounds on the Rooms as well

I always enjoy your videos and I bought the ROOMS because of this great demo. But I was truly shocked when I used this pedal for the first time and heard all the noise that is coming from it, as soon it is on (dry and wet volume turned all the way down). I did not notice any excessive noise in your video nor did you mention anything. I am using high grade power supplies. How did you perceive the noise floor of the ROOMS?
Hey, Stefan I wanted to thank you for the excellent demo. I have one question, are both foot switches mechanical, latching switches on Rooms or are they relay based, momentary soft switches? I hate turning on a reverb pedal and hearing the foot switch in the audio signal path. I'm trying to decide between Rooms and Context V2. This would be a deal breaker. @ThePedalZone

Thanks for the demo, sounds really good! Great playing too! I think the only downside of the pedal is the lack of presets or MIDI. It's very versatile and sounds amazing, but on stage you can't just keep on dialing in new tones.
Agreed. Midi or BT control would have put this box over the top, and something this tweakable needs to be able to store banks of patches.

Did you ever change the pickups in the JMascis? I can’t decide if I like them or not. I ordered some traditional jazz master wound pickups but haven’t had the heart to yank them out yet.

Thank you so much! I didn't use any dirt pedals in that example. That's simply the ROOMS pushing the front of my amp, which is a REVV D20. The ROOMS' mixer can increase the gain with up to 20 times, so it can really kick any amp into wild overdrive 😊

Do you ever run into any white noise issues with this pedal? Even with clean signal chain, buffers, new cables, amp on low vol, it always seems to sound like a jet airliner on top of the effect. Have you run into this with Rooms specifically?
Since you can't save presets...do you just get a notebook out and take notes of your favorite configurations??

Cheers, man! Both of those reverbs are stellar. You can easily own both, since they cover very different sonic ground. Immerse is more your standard bread-and-butter reverbs and serene ambience whereas ROOMS contains way more experimental textures that excel at being manipulated in real time via expression or ALT settings 😊

What do you mean with lo-fi pedals? Pedals that create tape-like modulation or anything at all that evokes a lo-fi feeling? I wouldn't call ROOMS a lo-fi pedal. It's actually pretty hi-fi, but you can get lo-fi-esque reverb sounds in Waves mode if you introduce a healthy amount of warble, and also in Peak mode if you use the filter as a static hi-pass cut-off. That will create really thin clangy verbs, which really evoke a lo-fi feel.
