Watch Courtney Reed turn into a Disney princess for her role in the hit Broadway adaptation of "Aladdin."
She looks awesome as Jasmine. And not that I hate the curls, but I wish they did the style of Jasmine's animation hair. I know it would be harder to move and dance in it, but still I miss it sometimes.
She has the ponytail style from the movie during the market scene in the show, if it makes you feel better
YamiSora
I totally agree. I think her whole look made her into a Kardashian not Princess Jasmine
Courtney went to my high school and was actually in the same drama academy as me and had the same teacher! I'm so happy that one of our alums actually made it!
+Jenna Kohn
Out of curiosity, may I ask what kind of ethnicity is Courtney Reed ?
+juneediaz Does it matter?
+Josie Alyvia I don't think +juneediaz meant it in a rude way. Courtney seems like she has mixed features (which is absolutely gorgeous) of course there would be people interested in knowing more about her.
+Kiko Li agreed
Josie Alyvia they said out of curiosity chill
"I feel emotional actually on a daily basis" lmfao same
She IS Jasmine, she looks exactly like her, she's stunning! And it's wonderful to see how passionate she is about the role
I know, right?!?!
My sentiments exactly.
***** she's just saying she looks exactly like jasmine
princepeterwolf Disneyland or Disney World's calling, Courtney. They're looking for new Jasmines.
n
Wow! How is she so pretty? And talented? And charming?
Like, seriously, she's perfect.
LauraBF
I LUV HOW SHE KISSED THE ALADDIN THING
Makenzie Ellison ex you want me to go to sleep
Makenzie
Right 😍😍 lol that’s something I would do.
She looks great, but the wig does remind me of Belle's, not Jasmine's.

Yessss thats the only thing that made me cringe!! Was that ugly ass wig
Definitely not jasmine hair. Its every bit of belle from beauty and the beast. The scene where her and the prince are sharing dinner and she is wearing a yellow dress.
@@desi_blackgirl4949 It's not ugly. It just doesn't match Jasmine's original hairstyle. It would most likely work better for Belle in Beauty & the Beast
Her dressing room is adorable!
She reminds me of a mix of Lea Salonga and Sierra Boggess
She’s so beautiful!!!
I'M SO SHOOK SHE IS SO BEAUTIFUL I CANT STOP WATCHING THIS

wow she is a great jasmine! she looks so much like the cartoon!
I had the chance to see Aladdin and on my trip to NYC last week, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Courtney was incredibly sweet and took the time to talk to everyone at the stage door. I love her!!
My sister plays Jasmine in the Aladdin Broadway show at Disney California adventure park she is sooo good now she plays the princess In the new show frozen am so proud of her.
Do you have any pictures, videos as I've yet to go to Disney?
Yes I have videos of her playing the princess in frozen and her playing Jasmine I got to go backstage and meet the cast of Aladdin the very last show at Disney California adventure it was so sad.
+Michael Leadingham Are these posted on your channel as I love to see clips and pictures from Disney as I have yet to get there.
I WOULD BE TO IF SHE WAS MY SISTER :p
Michael Leadingham awesome
Her dressing room is insane - is that normal aha?
I KNOW SHIT
Teana Allen
Alice Martine ,
Alice Martine 3
Alice Martine actors and actresses can decorate their dressing rooms, and usually the girls do it to get in character
Aladdin was my first broadway musical and I have that same doll as her
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 I LOVE HER AND HER ROLE OF PRINCESS JASMINE so much!!!!! She’s very very Beautiful in the Show!!!!
That costume is amazing OwO
I love these behind the scenes character transformations. Keep em coming
She's so gorgeous. I swear she's such a beauty in real life. She was such an eye candy when I saw her preform and ugh. She's great.
Ekebpo
She's so beautiful
i saw the original cast on broadway... ABSOLUTELY CAPTIVATING!!!! the show was simply stunning and i couldn't get enough of courtney singing palace walls😍😍
Loved this video. Princess Jasmine is my favorite, I love her spunky attitude, how she really does care for her people and basically she sees past all the background of poor vs rich. She is born and raised Princess so naturally she can be a spoiled brat sometimes but her heart really is for her people. She was thr first Disney Princess with black hair, brown eyes, tan skin combo. My favorite color is Blue as well and I love bling lol. In gold vs silver I always loved gold so her outfit is so perfect to me.
Jasmine is the best and this woman is picture perfect portrayal of her.
I met her after the show :) she is so sweet. Absolutely love her 🙌🙌
I meet you when I went to New York and saw Aladdin
I wear lashes every day, but is anyone gonna talk about how easily she popped those on??
She is the most adorable and cutest human! She is so right for this role!
I wish they'd use her real hair instead of a wig! It's so long and thick, it would be a dream to style that!
you know how long that take if they had to style it each time and then have to fix it when it gets messed up? they have wigs set in the style already and multiples so its easy and fast and they can use things on it that they wouldn't on her real hair to keep it perfect with no damage. but yes sometimes the actors hair is quite nice.
DragonFox84 Right. But what would be amazing would be Sierra Boggess's hair for Christine! with that beautiful red-brown hair, it would be a DREAM!
Imagine the styling her actual hair 8 times a week. All the heat and product used is gonna turn her gorgeous hair into hay.
Kaili Chia that is soooooooooooooooooooooooo right
***** I think that could have worked as Jasmine's hairstyle isn't that difficult, I think a bit of product and hear 1 day will keep it's style for weeks so no need to do it everyday and no 1 would ever wear their real hair, just think how low budget short films have to cope having to cast the precise actress with the right hair as their budgets can't buy a wig for every character.
I've watched this video more times then Id like to admit!
Gema Sanchez washed vp
its unfair to be this beautiful and talented
Such a beautiful outfit! I love that crown! She looks gorgeous! Like a true princess
She looks exactly like Jasmine 😊💖
She's so lovely and perfect for the role!
In love the costume.. so beautiful
watching this as I prepare for my final dress rehearsal for Aladdin JR. is so incredibly exciting. I get to portray an adored Disney Princess and I get to live the dream of wearing a crown and being a character that so many little kids love and it's such a dream come true. Even if it is just a community theatre production, it certainly does help pave my road to my future career on Broadway.
Omg I was in a production of Aladdin Jr. too!!!!
I saw Aladdin, it’s soooo good, she is very talented
I'm glad that the Broadway musical has the guts and integrity to keep Jasmine's midriff bare. Not like the Disney parks or the crappy remake
this costume looks so much better so far than the new alladin movie one
She's a cutie pie
Revisiting this after the live action 💜
Still so surreal that my drawing of Jasmine was shown in this video!!
She's beautiful
I played Jasmine in my Christmas show and I had to sing a song about her wanting to go beyond the palace walls and it was called 'I've had enough' and it was so much fun!! X
I Want... THAT CROWN!👑
I love her outfit
She's beautiful! And her profile is so dead-on for Jasmine she's perfect for the part!
She is beautiful BUT its insulting to whitewash an ethnic character. Its like saying only white women are beautiful and someone of a genuine ethnicity cannot be used. #terrible #disrespectful. #racist.
everyone complains about her hair, but have you seen middle eastern women? courtney reed looks far more like jasmine should look if she were real than the movie's jasmine! she's so beautiful
Ooooh her looks could also be passable as Esmeralda if she changed to her costume hahaha... She looks so pretty 😍🤩
Ivy Leonard omg yes I totally see that
she is the best
It's so cool to me how they all do their own makeup.
1. she is utterly beautiful. her hair is lush and thick. her skin is flawless
2. however, i do not think you resemble jasmine. now you can act like her. but i dont think you look like her.
pocahontas, jasmine, tiana, moana, my favourite disney princesses. i say this with the utmost respect, no, u dont look like her!
leo Rhule's كلااﻻؤد
they're not gonna cast someone as Jasmine just because she looks like Jasmine. Besides, it's theatre. They're not gonna see her upclose
It's cool that she gets to do her own makeup!
Princess Jasmine is beautiful representation in the media for arab little girls. They finally get to see a princess that looks like them. Not to mention her strong personality!
So pretty
she looks so much like jasmine!!!
as a middle eastern person myself (jewish levantine)
although I wish they wouldve casted real middle eastern people
they did a wonderful job and im glad she got the role!
When she smiled she kinda reminded me of alli Mauzey 😊
OMG! She's so pretty! Am I the only one who thinks she even sounds like the speaking voice of Jasmine from the first movie? She was born to play Jasmine!
I'm pretty sure there's only been one speaking voice for jasmine
You're right. I had to look it up because I thought they used a different voice actress for the sequels. Nope, just a different singing voice than the first film.
Am I the only one who thinks she doesn't look like Jasmine ? lol She's really pretty, but she doesn't resemble her in strong comparisons.
Becky Stfu I think k they share the same colors but have very different eye and face shape
Becky Stfu I think the same thing. Like the outfit seems like it has a lot of colors. Jasmine only has a blue outfit. And the hair looks nothing like jasmine hair
haydenlafayden yes, Jasmine in cartoon has really big beautiful eyes and different face structure while this girl has Asian style eyes (not to be racist or anything , don't know how to give example)
well you are correct, Jasmine is persian/middle eastern
green koko tanned white girl will resemble her more
I love it! I wish I could do Dressmaking Jasmine costume design on Broadway. I want to be an actress. 👸🏽
Its just so different from the aladdin wre are used to i wouldnt think she was jasmine if i wasnt told who she was
She put her falsies on effortlessly meanwhile I still have to have my friend put them on for me because I'm absolutely horrible at false eyelashes xD
I want her for my birthday 😁😁
I saw Aladdin on Broadway in October on a school trip to ny
The perfect jasmine!
She's really pretty.
wow she is so pretty.👍👍👍💜💜💖
I saw her play Jasmine at the Pantages Theater in LA and then I saw her at the Hollywood Bowl during the Beauty and the Beast.
I know this isn't the point at all, she's amazing, love her and love the show but does ANYONE know what lipstick colour she used??? Thank you xx

Courtney is from my town! My acting teacher was her teacher :D
A cutie Jasmine

It's YOU!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 8D
From,
A Hopeful Future Disney Princess
Well, not me, she's infinitely more talented, but it's another girl's confession story. I love her outfit, so bedazzled. :)
I wish you all the best and hope you're cast!! Xo
From one Jasmine to another! Awesome to see your comment on this video :)
♥
She’s soo preety
Yes capezio tights, iconic
Had the pleasure of meeting her
I wish it was played by someone that is actually of Arabic descent
Isabel Kuffel So happy I'm not the only person thinking the same thing
While that is true, how many arabic or iranian or indian young women have the skills and training to do broadway musicals at a level as high as courtneys?
The cast was made to put on a good show and make money but not many have the talent or the voice to fit classsical disney songs. Plus they dont have the time or money to train people for the role.
Same
I really like her costume, but whenever I think of jasmine I think of twisted which is AMAZING if you haven’t seen it GO LOOK IT UP RIGT NOW
eddie i was looking for this comment, it’s amazing AND they remembered achmed
I saw this play twice, and I'm really excited for Frozen. I want to see SpongeBob, but still, Aladdin is one of the best musicals ever
Can someone please tell me which M•A•C lipstick she's putting on in this vid... She literally IS princess jasmine so so so beautiful and talented.
i wish i can be her position a couple years from now.
I played Princess Jasmine in Arizona Grace arts
I think it funny that I'm in alladin Jr right now and I got genie
Jasmine is my favorite Disney princess (after Ariel)
She actually looks like jasmine in real life!
Her hair reminds me of Christine
凄い綺麗…😍
I want to know which Lustreglass she puts on after the lipstick, it's such a gorgeous color!
I didn't even know this was a show on Broadway until just now! That costume really makes it feel legitimately Middle-Eastern.
Omg why do people all talk about her ethnicity is not Arabic? That’s really rude. It’s 2018. Anyone can play the role if the voice and character fit
That would be fun
Wow she's amazing as Jasmine

She looks stunning and amazing. But i wished they would have made the hair look like the actual Princess Jasmin
