I love your rustic esthetics in all you do and have to chuckle when you describe your methods. I’ve always admired your nonchalant style and wish I could lose the tension I create for myself when crafting. The books are great for teachers as pumpkins. I did not have time to make some cute little hang tags so I need to challenge myself to just make up a bunch of them to have on hand. I just recently redid an old magazine rack too and it’s similar to yours but not near as pretty but I’m going to try it again and do it your way . I learned so much from them and just the example you gave using the glaze it does make a better aged effect than waxes do sometimes I really did love how it made the item look more aged and warmed the blew up. That Sea Glass is a beautiful color. Is Sea Glass a paint color for walls, if so, What brand? Every time you say, “Buttercream”, I think of two things, “ churning milk for butter and cream, and the making of ice cream”. I went shopping Tuesday evening, it was very hot here, I had asthma attack. I bought just a few groceries. I grabbed the bags that I thought had the things that needed to go in the refrigerator. I was struggling to get in the house. I did my rescue inhaler and sat in my recliner for a little bit. I put my stuff in the refrigerator. I went and washed my face and arms off with a wash clothe to cool down. I wasn’t thinking straight. I sat on my bed. I put my night gown on. I woke up at midnight and my lights were on. Oh well, I turned the lights off, not thinking. That morning I looked out the door as I let my dog out. A grocery bag was on my dash. Reality hit. I did not unload all the groceries. My meats, 1/2 gallon of Bluebell ice cream. All this money down the drain. That asthma attack had deprived my brain from oxygen and my thought process had left me. I was wore out from all the coughing. I was in respiratory distress. Thank God I had an Rescue inhaler and my nebulizer that I used during the night. Last night I had a horrible night. Today, I have been diagnosed with bronchitis. The doctor gave me a steroid injection and antibiotic infection, and gave me a prescription for antibiotic by mouth and decongestant. I love all of your DIY’s. Sorry I added my situation. The Buttercream and my Ice Cream disaster came together.
Oh my goodness. I have to stop watching this video. Too painful to watch you paint over all those incredible prints on the covers of those books. It’s so hard to find those readers digest printed covers anymore. I just can’t! 😩😩😩
I usually remind people that when I do this, I have either literally gotten books from my dump or at a half price thrift/Goodwill sale. In other words, no one else seems to want them. As an author, there is a part of me that understand what your saying, so I try to get books I would not read or recommend when possible.
