Polishing the airfoil radius area of turbine blades with the MTS machine tool

MTS CNC Airfoil Grinder/Polisher for polishing and grinding of large turbine blades. The MTS machine tool comes with a variety of interchangeable tool holder units, for tactile measuring, leading and trailing edge profiling, holders for contact wheel diameters 35 to 200 mm, etc. This video shows the latest tool holder unit for polishing the radius area on large titanium and steel turbine blades.
This new holder unit can be ordered for new MTS machines and is also compatible with most existing MTS airfoil polishers. Please contact us with your MTS machine serial number and we will verify whether the holder fits your MTS machine.
Update of the software and process set-up can take place by means of online support, therefore minimizing implementation cost.
Please note that the use of this new tool holder unit may require an update to the latest IMM CAM software.
