- HOLD ME ACCOUNTABLE! We all saw that P. Diddy, Cassie hotel video. But six months ago, when Cassie's complaint was filed, I did a live stream where I firmly stated: "I stand with Puffy--today." Was I on the "wrong side of history"? Did that video "not age well"? Time for you to express your opinion and, for those that are mad at me, to hold me accountable! Let's do a Smoke Show. Call in and tell me your opinion on this case, on doubting victims, and on consent. Context: Federal agents raided homes in Los Angeles and the Miami area on Monday that are connected to the hip-hop mogul Sean Combs, a person with knowledge of the case said. Homeland Security Investigations carried out the raids but did not provide details about the case, including whether Mr. Combs was a target or which criminal charges were being investigated. Mr. Combs, who is also known as Puff Daddy or Diddy, has been accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking in multiple civil lawsuits over the last several months. A spokesperson for Mr. Combs did not respond to a request for comment. The criminal inquiry was being conducted by federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York and federal agents with Homeland Security, a law-enforcement official said. Nicholas Biase, a spokesman for the Southern District, declined to comment. NEVER BELIEVE ANY WOMAN THE FIRST TIME. The law operates on INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. So everyone starts off as innocent and only after you go through a thorough process to prove them guilty can you then change that. So first you must critically dissect and interrogate the story. Then seek to find independent evidence that could irrefutably corroborate or disapprove the story. If you can corroborate sufficiently aka beyond reasonable doubt only then they become a victim and you believe. If not, NOPE. PS.@TLA as for your SA example, up til the point where her head was next to his penis she is not a victim as she has not communicated anything. The moment he moved her head unto his penis, that is when she became a victim as no consent was given for that action.

Trying to use experiences where men are attacked by women to speak ill on a woman (or women) who come out about their stories of abuse is not helping yall.
If you want to raise awareness of men's abuse cases and the lack of attention the stories bring, speak on them.
Male channels about them.
Run campaigns about them.
Make songs about them.
Invest in initiatives that help male survivors.
Encourage men to file criminal or civil charges.
Help them pay the legal fees if need be.
Direct more attention to healing initiatives for men.
Build shelters for abused men.
As well, link me to all the videos male content creators made in support of Jay Z that after that incident. Especially the ones that leveraged the story to bring attention to gender based violence against men.
I trust AD has a video on it considering he's bringing that story up. I'll try to find what he said on the matter back then. I'm curious now.
I'm not invalidating anything... Just sharing an observation. The reality is that those channels do exist and men do in fact talk about these things but no one cares. Our society is perpetrator biased when it comes to domestic violence... Perpetrator bias. Our society does not care about the crime itself it only cares who commits it. The response is deeply misandristic which is why I'm neutral on a lot of things including DV.
@delraynelson7212 Men have a lot of power and responsibility in this. Women didn't make the laws or set the social standards. Women are also not the group who normalised the dehumanisation of men or the minimisation of women's acts of aggression against them.
While I'm sure men want or expect women to stand on soap boxes to speak out more about this issue, it's difficult to do when women and girls continuously are attacked and killed at alarming rates by the opposite sex. Men are also attacked and killed at alarming rates by other men.
So while it is true women are st times violent towards men and get away with it, the reason is mostly (imo) because of the way men have been, and continue to, dehumanizing each other.
And ironically then take it out on women in many cases and try to place blame on women.
Jay Z didn't press charges against Solange, yet guys will say there was no uproar from women dragging solange.
Jay Z didn't use his power to charge his attacker or help raise awareness to women-on-men violence. He never rapped about it. He never discussed it in an interview, he never started a foundation or campaign about it, etc.
Nor did any other public male figure we know who experienced something similar.
Men are afraid of the backlash from other men, especially those in power, for addressing issues that highlight how MEN are failing each other on a human level.
And law enforcement, the legal system, and other areas such as the military (as another example) help make that point.
All these spaces, historically, were established, lead by, and upheld by men.
Thinking women can or will reverse the damage, or consequences of these systems, when men can't is absurd. Especially when some of the consequences include men taking their frustration of this out on women and children.
And while I acknowledged the example of Jay Z and Solange and think she was wrong, the scenario of her and Jay Z isn't the same as Cassie and Diddy.
Solange and Diddy aren't on par even though both were seen acting violently towards the opposite sex. While the violence both displayed was wrong, they had a different context and different nuances.
It's manipulative, disingenuous, and problematic to attempt to equate them and indirectly encourage people to focus on a woman lashing out on a man in (what we're told) defense of her sister and where others were present but didn't try to intervene in contrast to a situation where there's a history of a man physically running up on a woman clearly trying to sneak away from a man who (allegedly) had been beating, trafficking, etc her for years.
A man who began grooming her in her late teens when he was pushing 40.
The person Puff was attacking in the video is now pushing 40 and she filed a criminal suit that outlined the crimes she believes he committed against her and she's working with the feds to help bring about a criminal suit.
Especially being that multiple people, women AND men included, have accused Puff of some type of abuse.
Bringing solange and Jay Z's sitch into the conversation to deflect and distract from what Puff is being accused of is an example of how normalised maladaptive patterns of behaviour in men is so normalised. It's also an example of how that behaviour does not good for society over all; not for men, women, or children.
Puff represents many men out there and Cassie represented the lived experiences of those said men target.
Rather than talk about the problem of said men and how the negatively impact society, yall want to try and equate solange's attack on Jay Z with Puffs attacks on multiple people (that's coming more to light because cassie filed a civil suit against him).
And yall feel right in doing this.

From a point of view perspective, one must have the full scope and sequence of the backdrop of any given domestic violence or violent situation. I say this because I have a family member who served on the police force for over 32 years. 15 of those years, he served as one of the top four detectives in the City by which we live. There were so many instances where he says, "Who is the victim and why?" must be defined. My family member says that as an officer of the law, there were so many instances where 89% of the women in those situations when he had gone out were the aggressors and the men were actually the victims. Sad to say... This is fact based. Women that cry wolf make it so hard for true victims of domestic violence. In the words of my family member that is now retired law enforcement agent, "It's easier to LEAVE THE SITUATION as opposed to being a victim of one's own poor decision making and circumstances."

How to avoid SA charges. Never ever again be alone with a woman/man until marriage. Period. Court and date like children with chaperones. Instead of trying to have s e x actually learned her or him. There are ways to have alone time without being in someone house or bed.
Lead there too many people who are ignorant to the law and how it all works. You defended your point fully AND You were RIGHT at the time. Should we believe VICTIMS the first time??? NO Not at all. Too many times it turns out “victims” are not victims at all. It is best to always look at the entire situation with an open mind and wait for facts before taking a side.

My ex put a video I made of me kicking down the Christmas tree when she didn’t come home on Christmas Day. She then used that video months later as “receipts” that I was a domestic violence aggressor.The only violence was her throwing a phone at me and busting open my chin. She then became pregnant and I had doubts it was mine and asked for a pre-birth DNA(remember that Christmas Day). She then got so upset and moved out. The baby was born and she posted on TikTok that I was a dead beat dad and sent pictures of the kid to my mom and sister. We asked for a dna again and my sister would take it so she wouldn’t have to see me. Three years later and two kids later I still have got a dna test. Lawyer said if we can’t find her to serve her then nothing can be done. Trust me we can’t believe all women. I think more men should tell their stories so the balance can be seen that it’s actually 50/50 on abuse and lying and cheating. But men never want to tell they been cheated on because it makes them seem like they wasn’t satisfying their mate.

We can’t believe all victims at first because there have been some liars that has falsified information and falsely accused some men that are not abusers so this is always a hard situation when it is first presented!! I’ve been in a DV and when first told I didn’t expect some to believe because he was a nice guy to them but eventually they would see my marks or witnessed certain behavior!!! But than I have met some not many that have lied on men because they did not want them to leave them!!! So it will always be a tough decision on both side. That’s why we have to believe the facts presented not people!!!

When I read the part in her recent statement about believing victims the first time, I was confused thinking maybe she had tried to tell people and get help back when she was going through it. My thoughts were, "Was she seeking help and wasn't taken seriously? Is she saying no one believed her when the abuse was occurring? She reached out to no avail? Is she talking about herself or speaking more generally?” I really didn't get it and couldn't reconcile that part in particular, since I hadn't read where any of the above was the case. It felt out of context.
This video helped me realize she was referring to those who didn't believe what she said in the lawsuit *before* the video was released.
A true epiphany moment for me! It still feels out of context, but I get it.
