    Okay.... let's be honest: This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen :D The quad is so amazing. It hovers and you turn your stick forward and suddenly it just fires right away.
    Really love the concept and the realization. Keep it up!

    That looks like it would be a very good camera platform for the other plane reviews flite test does. Fast enough to keep up with EDF, nimble enough to keep up with 3D models and stable enough to get good pictures of straight and level stuff like trainers.

    Sweet product, but those motors sound like they are struggling. With a little bit of pid work. It would be sweet. Also, you are prime to respond to all of these comments, what a great business strategy. I hope to see you in the big picture sometime.

    • @AIMDROIXLLC
      @AIMDROIXLLC 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The motor sound of the VTOL are from the PIDs being on the high side. P was a bit high. Like you are saying,with some more tuning time, I should be able to get it to fly better. Responding to comments wasn't actually thought as an strategy, I just started to read the comment and respond to the one that I had something to say. LOL it's really cool to do it. Thanks for those good wishes.

      Tilting rotors won't be faster than a normal quad. The rear rotors end up with dirty air from the front ones. It is also heavier due to the servos.

    What if you make the wings part of the drone? So you have 4 wings that become rudders or flaps based on the orientation of the drone. Basically it would have two wings for lift and 4 engines when in flight mode. No need to add extra wings and weight. Although I admit the wings could make it hard to use with wind in hover mode.

      AIMDROIX ,LLC Good, that is great to hear. Protect it well. You've got a really good product idea here for the FPV crowd. I have no doubt that it will scale well to larger craft. and with that the implications for a large scale camera mount with minimal gimbal interference for high speed production camera work is really intriguing, both the fixed wing and the tilted multirotor. I would hate to see you loose out on that because of getting scooped by a bigger company. Keep up the good work guys!

    Fliteguys? Seems that this quad has different tilts between rear and front axels when applying speed. What is the point in this? Can´t see the real advance on have more float on another and more horisontal push on another axel. I have planned to build tilt axis quad but just symmetrical tilt (for simplicity), so after seeing this my project halts on planning state... It seems fast tough.

    Could a dji drone (e.g. a P3 or mavic mini) be adapted with a new chassis with extra servos to transition the motors vertical, work? using the dji rth waypoint barometer alti hold etc ?
    What issues could arise?

    I hope you patented this, the military would love this. I'm sure they'd just build it slightly different though.
