Referring to your question about "can I choose to exhaust if I'm already exhausted?" when facing an Encounter cards that has multiple options. First, c'mon guys. Don't be cheesy. Second, the RR says under "Choose": While making such a choice, the player must make a choice that could change the game, if able. If you're already exhausted, it doesn't change anything in choosing to exhaust.
Every other FFG game, from memory at least, creates a choice in a specific way in order to allow you to choose a non-impactful option. Even Arkham. Often it's part of the strategy of the game, not cheesy!
Since Zach is a Cap fan, now that you have Dauntless and Hard to Ignore, try out some ret3 cap (with the suit). I made a deck so cheap it doesn't even run carrier nor mansion. It's also a different gig because he only has his Agent ally since he is so flexible on cards. It's crazy how good it is and it's expert ready (not tried GMW expert yet).
You only have to defend to use a keyword Defense card if the body of the text specifies defendind. Cap's shield block has defense keyword, but doesn't say hero interrup. Thus you can use it in alter ego mode. And as we all know, persona in alter ego mode only has recovery as a basic action, not Defense.
@@teamcovenant Yeah, pretty sweet, huh? I swear Cap has some of the best cards that give you consistency in hero or alter ego form with shield block and his super soldier serum. Still my very character to use in the game... especially in solo runs. He's just so reliable and consistent. :)
Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on Magneto. In the movies all he did was manipulate metal. However, in the comics, he was much more powerful... practically a God in many respects. That's because in the comics his power was the ability to generate and manipulate magnetic fields. Even planet sized ones in extreme cases. What does that translate beyond just bending metal? The list is a mile long, but to give a few examples: --Create a magnetic shield that blocks physical and energy attacks, and can hold air. --Boil the iron in one's blood or cause an anyrism --Flight --Fire blasts of destructive energy --Render himself immune to electricity --And in the extreme case...flip the magnetic poles of a planet itself to cause planet-wide devistation. And the telepathy blocking Helmet thing wasn't used in the comics until after the films, so for the longest time, there was a really awesome dichotomy between Xavier and Magneto. They were friends and differed greatly in methodology and world view, but also for all the vast power comic book Magneto had, his mind was always vulnerable to both his own memories, but also to the one power of s cripple that used to be his friend. Just thought you guys would be interested in knowing. A fun little FYI.

That sounds perfect.

Did anyone notice that Venom was the next hero pack! True he was a Guardian but I must admit I am surprised.
