Fun fact. There was an interview and Eminem addressed this song. So Em was in the studio working and baby Hailie was playing around and started randomly saying "I think my dad's gone craaazy" so Em said "Hailie say that again" recorded it and got inspiration to make this song. It's such a great song and so randomly spawned. ❤️🙏🍻

One day you should watch the performance of Eminem and Elton John performing Stan at the Grammy Awards, which is why the Elton John mention. It was at the height of Controversy and Protests against Em, he was dealing with GLAAD over accusations of homophobia and hate, Parents & Religious orgs and the Govt trying to shut him down and censor him. Massive protests everywhere he went.
Em basically said "Aight, if I'm homophobic then I'll just perform with the most flamboyant and out gay man in the world." Elton had always maintained Em wasn't homophobic and that he just spoke how he felt and not everyone speaks the same and he's protected by his free speech anyways, he'd never met Elton John before but they linked up and performed Stan live and shocked the world. Elton and Em ended up becoming great friends and Elton was Em's sponsor and go to when he was getting clean from drugs, Em said he'd be dead if he didn't have Elton there for him

When i was verrry young and def being one of the Ericas that Em mentions in White America.. the line “more pain inside of my brain than the eyes of a little girl inside of a plane, aimed at the World Trade” used to HAUNT me. Not in a bad way, but as an adult now looking back, still getting that shudder hearing it once a year or so like today, idk, speaks volumes i guess to his own awareness he mentions of the emotional affect just a single rhyme of his can have on you. ❤
I thought you would love this one, its a funny tongue in cheek one from eminem. Breaks the ice on the album and is lyrically awesome if you look into the words deeply. Loved your home free reaction too but didnt comment on it because i fell asleep not long after. But awesome tunes your picking.

You know the song you reacted to called "Bad Husband"? You really loved that one. Anyway, during the chorus of that song (not the first chorus, but the 2nd and 3rd chorus) they actually sample Hailies voice from this song again where she says "Dad!" which is an absolute beautiful nod to his fans that had been listening for the nearly 20 years between the songs and followed through everything he had been through in his life.
It was very surreal and quite emotional hearing it again. I know it was for me.
We have all grown up with em. Been listening to him religiously since I was 14.... I'm 37 now. We're growing old together. It's not just music anymore.

Hailie Jade has a podcast on youtube it is called "Just a little shady" where she inerview her onkul Nate aka Marshalls brother(Eminem) and she also interview her sister that interview is labeled "I think my sister´s gone crazy" in the podcast she is talking about their life.
EM followed her around the studio with a mic asking her to say things to get her portion and then recorded his portion after his ex picked her up so she didn’t actually hear any of this until she was much older. I think she was like seven when this was recorded and she is in her late 20s now graduated with honors from Michigan State University with a psychology degree. The R. Kelly line, Bump & Grind is a sexual song and Kelly was in trouble for sexual acts with a minor.
