- This is my first pattern on the Syntakt that I turned into a full track. I'd write more, but I'm going back to playing with the Syntakt :) Thank you very much Elektron for this generous gift!
All audio is coming from the Syntakt, with post processing from MJUC, Phoenix, Maximus and ToTape6. I was a lot more subtle with the settings than usual, since the Syntakt sounds great without any post processing!

What strikes me is both how complete this song is as well as the fact that I could loop it all day long. The bit of rave instrumentation into a lofi hip hop song is underrated and there should be more of it.

YEEESSSS man I'm so glad you got one, was really interested to see what you would do with it (and first track is reeeeal nice).
How are you liking it so far? I keep being surprised at how deceptively deep most of the machines are, despite the single SYN page. Those analog kicks have so much room for possibilities and I love it (also bits and clap 👌👌)!
I have been making some videos on some interesting sound possibilities on it the past couple weeks (today's is a helicopter 🤔) if you are bored.
Can't wait to hear more tracks from you (also would be very interested in track breakdowns for this new device!)
I'm really enjoying it so far! Having a long list of 8-parameter machines instead of a traditional synth is very interesting. The analog classic kick is so good, that transient knob opens up so many options! Looking forward to exploring them more :)

Lovely work Ivar - I'm soo pleased Elektron sent you one. Question - what can this do that the DT/DN combination can't? I'm trying to find a reason not to add another Elektron box to the mix (I've got an A4 as well)
Thanks! It's too early for me to say, but one standout feature is the four analog voices, the analog master filter, and analog master overdrive. The Digitone has a digital master overdrive that also sounds good, though. The Syntakt has an FX track, complete with LFOs so you can modulate and p-lock the delay and reverb, which is not possible on the DT/DN. The DT/DN combo *can* do that kind of stuff via midi, but the midi resolution is way lower than internally on the Syntakt (two decimals of precision). You can sequence the FX track to create a ducking effect, but the Digitakt has a great master compressor.
I have to use the Syntakt more to make an opinion, but my first thoughts are that the Syntakt brings analog voices and warmth that the DT and DN don't have. That said, the DT/DN combo is amazing already :D

Nice. How are you modulating the FX to get that warble?
Thanks! I'm using a sine shaped LFO on the lead sound's pitch, and LOTS of delay. Then I added lock trigs here and there to change the depth and speed of the LFO to make it more expressive. There's also a very slow square shaped LFO on the delay time with a depth of 0.14, so that every now and then there's a little "jump/warble" on the entire delay effect.
I'd love to learn how he learned how to use this device so well. Like, did he learn from another TH-camr or person? Did he read the manual word for word? Or does he have a long history of music production?
Look at his channel… he is expert level in Elektron
I started out learning the Digitakt from Cuckoo's mega tutorial and Ricky Tinez' tutorials. When I got the Digitone, a LOT of the stuff I learned on the DT also worked on the DN. It's the same with the Syntakt. The project structures, layouts, sequencer, etc. are pretty much identical so I could focus on only the new and unknown stuff.
