Everyone seems to be saying "RIP Castlevania" based on this game, but honestly, this is better than nothing. Yes, it's not on the console or PC, but it's another Castlevania game regardless. If this does well, we might see another Castlevania game on a new console, just like when people thought SMT was dead when Persona started getting popular, and here we are with a new SMT game coming out for the Switch.
I doubt it will make Konami back to makin old good CV games, but we have IGA now, doin awesome work with Bloodstained. And yea, this is much better, than lords of shit fake cv games.

Nah. You can only get those with premium coins. You can see them at 10:35. You get premium coins by selling gear you've gotten from the gacha. 5 for 3*, 15 for 4*, and 50 for 5*
At the very least we're back to the original universe. Hopefully this game will make Konami recognize that people really do want Castlevania back and we can get some new titles on 3DS and various other platforms. Or maybe this is just a fuck you to IGA and the reason there is no release date yet is because they want to set it around the same time as Bloodstained
Don't really know anything about those controllers. I don't believe this game has any controller support but if those controllers can be mapped in specific ways and doesn't need to be app supported then maybe.

This adds nothing to the lore, being an online game reusing old assets/characters. What would be your motivation to play this game?

Yeah just weapons. New characters will likely be locked behind challenges.
Seems like the difficulty in this is based mostly on the controls working like ass, not clever use of game mechanics.
