I always felt so undeserving of a Pe'a. It represents a standard I aspire to have. I love my family and I take care of my parents. I bought them a house when I was 25 and I just turned 32 this year. I haven't had a conversation with my Dad about getting one yet, but I don't ever plan on getting one without their blessing.

Like the uso said, the pe’a is all about “service” Tautua to your aiga, ekalesia (if you still go church lol) and to your village(community) I still believe that you still need to learn to speak the language and learn the culture when you get your pe’a but that’s just me. Long gone are days of “ka muamua le guku oga ka loa lou pe’a.” Nowadays it’s all about service (TAUTUA)

Our service too our families church village/clan is the first thing service faithfully, learning to speak fluently is important aswell because that’s another level of Tautua as a tulafale/alii too your family
