I started learning English in 1993. Then in two months my teacher all of a sudden fell down on his way to the University he worked and got injured. As a result of that accident he lost most of his memory and could not even recognize most of his relatives. So I gave it up for a while. Then I got back and started learning the languace in1995. A friend of mine recomended me a teacher who lived near by. What I want to say that I just did exactly the same what you say about the ways of thinking in English. Sometimes I would lose control and would talk as if I was talking to someone and all of a sudden I would catch someone's eyes on me and probably thinking what a mentally insane human being I was))) But it helped me a lot to improve my ability to start being able to express myself fluently. So this is a very nice Idea about how to poductively learn a foreign language, in particular English.
Just keep on and be the way you are.

Your lessons are always to the point and somehow comfy to listen, even enjoyable. Yes, that's right! Quite a lot situations I get in I try to describe them for myself in English. Unfortunately, very often I can find the appropriate expressions for my emotions or even how to swear in modest way. Therefore my thougts are some way sounding for me as not tipical mine, artificial. I'll try to find a model suitable for me to dub.

Totally agree with the techniques! I would even say that having an imaginary dialogue gives us the chance to be at least two different characters! Writing a song or a short story would be also in my opinion a challenging way to test our English... Of course, the help of a good app or ideally a native speaker would be the best to get the feedback that these techniques usually call for...

    • @EnglishwithMax

      Hi!
It might help a little, but it would better for your speaking if you said the words out loud, even if you have to pause the audio/video sometimes. And really say the words - don't whisper them. 😉

What would you advice when someone's aim would be increasing level of English from B1/2 to C1/2: is it better to be completely focused on English or is it not a bad idea to study English and another foreign laguage from scratch? How much slower would someone notice progess in the second case? Nice and helpful video! 😉

    • @EnglishwithMax

Well, it depends on how much time you have and what your priorities are. If your main aim is to improve your English and you don't have a lot of spare time, I'd probably just focus on English for the moment. But if that's not the case, I don't think there's anything wrong with starting a new language.
