- Up to three winter storms will impact different parts of the country this week. The weather pattern is very active.
A wild setup with multiple winter weather events ahead that could impact some of the same areas over and over.

We'll see. I live 100 miles due south of Downtown Chicago. We've had six storms threaten us but as they got closer, they fizzled. Predicted snowfall of 10 inches or more turned into a dusting each time. Very frustrating winter so far, other than a very cold Jan.
Well, I hope your wildest snowfall dreams come true with this one.
I agree 100% percent. it doesn't snow much anymore in Chicago. Florida gets more snow.
I live in ohio and all we got was rain we need another plowable Storm
@WeatherWithTravis I don't agree with you at all for the va nc line area, I have done tropical tidbits last 10 days and it has shown us in pink area of 6 to 9 inches, I don't know which model ur using but come on and I have picture of the recent 440am update of our area with totals. I'd be glad to send it to u on social platform so you can see it
@sasquatchdepartment NWS Blacksburg “The ice
this time around may be more of the impact across the Blue Ridge and
adjacent areas from near the VA/NC border north through central VA.
With a combined wintry weather threat, and models showing liquid
equivalent precip of more than an inch, am confident to issue the
winter storm watch for most of our VA counties, except the upper TN
Valley where precip may change quicker to rain outside the wedge.
Think the Blue Ridge and nearby mountains of NC could see a tenth to
a quarter inch close to the VA border, so added Ashe and Alleghany
to the watch as well.”
Oooo I really like this pattern for central Illinois!!
Thank you for the update!!!
Ofc the snow moves south at least Chicago gets something .whenever we are gonna get snow the storm does a last minute up north or south .Yet people in other states keep getting hit with snow storm after another.
From Pittsburgh, we shall see. 15 years ago we had a lot of snow that started around now
The biggest disappointment was last February around the same time
Chicago was expected to get 9 to 12 inches of snow just 24 hrs prior to the storm arriving and then boom the upper level of the atmosphere was 38 degrees it turn into sleet and rain
The models are showing a super monstrous storm system next weekend for the Ohio valley!
We will get some snow flurries and light snow in Chicago. It will miss us again.
Southwest Michigan has the light snow from the front split you spied last week. Appreciate your expertise
We just got 8 or so inches west of Toronto from last nights snow. Looking like a direct hit for Wednesday’s system
We shall see as far as the snow goes for the Jersey Shore that would get washed away by the other storms unless the storm tracks to our East as it comes up the Coast.
It is absolutely unbelievable to me that South Dakota is not getting ANY snow this winter. Here, in Pierre, we tend not to get big snow events anyways- but we at least get something. This year. Zilch. And to have all of these back to back storms coming through - yet not a one of them coming to SoDak is insane.
A half inch of snow in marshall nc where I live this year. Other parts may have gotten more but this snow drought needs to end
STILL A DROUGHT IN NC BUT YES THE MOISTURE COMING
It's just been gloomy and cold here in Illinois, and no snow. I hope we actually get snow if its just going to be cold.
NE PA and we are earning our spring this year.
Enough snow for west Virginia
I was robbed last night. I live in New York about 70 miles north of the city. I was supposed to get 7 to 10 inches of snow last night ended up with three. Tuesdays storm not looking good for me and Thursday is a wash out. 😢
Dang same here man although I’m farther north but got robbed
Not gonna lie, when I first starting reading this I thought you were literally robbed.
@@WeatherWithTravis 🤣
Hey Travis you can't tell me here in the foothills of North Carolina that it doesn't get warmer each spring we do not have winter weather at all like we used to when I was young it doesn't even compare to what we used to had is it global warming or whatever you want to call it you tell me
When I was growing up we had ice storms every single year. And a few snows of a foot or more. This was in the 70s. For the last 4 years we are getting back to that kind of winters in Mo. Yearly ice storms but not as much snow totals.
I remember being told as a kid in school that we might be heading into another ice age back in the '70's
I don’t like when all the forecasts are calling for a pretty big snowstorm this far out like they are here in north central Illinois. It’s going to jinx it. Although I don’t believe in jinx but if live around here you definitely know what I’m talking about
It feels like every weather guy tries to not mention NYC or skip it😂 i get it. You dont wanna get it wrong for 8 million folks. Is a tough call to make.
I don’t try. Food for thought, there’s 14 million people approximately just in the metro areas of St. Louis, Kansas City, and Chicago, which are in the the path of the next storm.
Typical mostly rain in the northeast with ice
Don't want any snow, it can rain in the spring.
They said the Polar Vortex will be collapsing by February 14th they said no relief till March 7th as the soonest??
There for of BS! Cold stays in Canada / US border.
No collapse far as I can see
The euro is more
Accurate so I’ll take those snowfall totals
Trust the European model. They are more accurate.
