I just got done reading Blood Meridian and holy crap that is an incredibly violent book but it is really good. Definetly in the top 3 of my favorite books.
Since '05 I have purchased 3 different copies of Blood Meridian. The first 2 attempts I was annoyed with McCarthy's dialogue structure or lack thereof. Two days before he died I packed a recently purchased used copy for a trip to Montana. Not sure if I softened after the man died or my previous bias passed with time but the 3rd attempt was a success.
I have one question for you Madi. How are your close ones able to withstand the pureness of your energy? 😮😅 How can others operate in your presence without falling apart, and or melting from extreme exposure of peace. 🤷🏿♂️🫠🙃
I’ve been struggling with a bit of a reading slump since finishing Fourth Wing. It was so good and I loved the characters so much, I kind of only want to read more from that universe. I’ve ordered a couple fantasy books with dragons in the hopes that I won’t get into a full reading slump.
Have you given Serpent and the Night wings by Carissa Broadbent a read? It's not dragons but its a fun ride....it's like hunger games meets underworld in my opinion
