Just purchased a new in the box 1:16 scale snow leopard RC tank for 25 bucks at an online auction. Will be a few days before it shows up at my doorstep. Was amazed to see just how large that scale of a tank actually is. Really good and informative vid!
The overall width is easy to measure due to the shape of this vehicle. I measure it at 139mm wide so that makes the scale close to 1:18.5. I think it is rather dishonest of WPL to claim it as 1:16 scale when clearly it isn't. The only reason is because their other vehicles are that scale but that just makes the discrepancy more obvious when making comparisons.
Somehow some manufactors don't be so precisice with the scale. After the T-34 I was suspicious. I had seen these small tanks in original in Berlin. So I would bet it's more a 1/20 than a 1/16 tank.
@@garyhoff2178 I think that WPL need to check their measurements. The E-1 is somewhere between 1:18 and 1:19 scale. The overall width is very easy to measure and compare with the real one.
I have a 1/18 up Armored Humvee , I will purchase a 1/16 scale Pro max MRAP by Trumpeter, which one will be bigger in comparison? Because they said the 1/18 scale figure will fit the 1/16 Pro max MRAP vehicle

Much appreciated bro. Thanks for the comment
Well there is one way to be sure. The real one is around 5390mm long by 2580mm wide, so in 1:16 scale that would be 337mm long by 161 mm wide.
Thanks for the info

Yeah same mate
You are correct, the E1 is actually 1/20th scale. One of the guys at RCU contacted the manufacturer and they confirmed that.

When compared with blueprints it's about 1/20 scale.

Should be very close. I am not entirely sure tho
@@RCTanksTrucks247 thanks
I could say what I really think of WPL but community standards rather restrict me…
Haha fair enough
Toy grade dogshit
Awesome tanks
Thank you
Chinese makers such as Henglong, Mato never care about Scale and detail and historical accuracy. They just produce toys.
But are great value for money and have improved dramatically over the years
@@RCTanksTrucks247 Agree! They have improved greatly, especially with their recent T72, T90 and Merkava.
How about 1 :18 car compare it to a 1 :18 Tank...
