But his Beoing job is a dream for other people. Doing 4 hrs a WEEK of work and being able to do other things during that time? I work a 6 figure job but I have to work EVERY day 9hrs a day and out of those 9hrs I work 8hrs. LITERALLY. I can make 15k steps a day easy on this job.

Kudos to this man. Forced fun events can take such a toll on you, especially if you happen to be the "only" or one of a handful of people from a particular background in that setting. Inevitably, I have ended up being the center of attention unwittingly so that everyone else can feel good about being "cool" with me. Or find myself surrounded by the most tone deaf, benignly offensive people and regularly assessing whether it's worth it to get someone together - again.
Anyone in those situations should receive hazard pay/overtime for all of the unpaid labor day in and out.

Gosh. I feel that first story down to my soul. They do all these team events. Holiday crap. No ma'am. I won't be into NONE of them. We have a weekly huddle and my supervisor is trying to implement this getting to know your team. We have to ask two questions about our assigned team member. I asked was it mandatory. But absolutely nobody did it.
I totally agree. Who cares about those people. We go to work to do a job. All the extra is not going to happen. If it ain't mandatory I'm not doing it.

Firing someone for not going to extracurricular stuff is craaaaazy! Some people just don't mess with all that, or have home situations where that's not worth the effort. People have kids and pets and spouses. ...or you all stressed them out so much that they can't even deal with a team lunch or company event.
I do go to some events, not all. I even have some coworkers who can see my socials because they're cool ppl and it's fine. They post way spicier stuff than me 😂 I'm fortunate in that way to have a group like that.

36:03 my knee surgery ( meniscus removal and bringing my acl back in place) costed 52,000. Luckily it was a worker comp issue. So I didn’t have to pay but the job got a discount and only paid 26,000 for the surgery.
