It's the emotion I miss from other covers. Tommy sings with his entire soul. I want to hear him do more Queen covers. Damn, he is an incredible singer!
Tommy is a true offspring of the classic metal singer bloodline. He has the grit, the power and the emotional piercing pronunciation that is so bedrock to that era od singers that these newer singers lack and sound like they are focusing on being safe just to get through the song without messing up. His singing is legit. That is why he comes across so alluring and grabbing. His emotional vocal expression comes from a position of expressive freedom, power and intensity and not a now common position of restrained safety and insecurity to let go and let ones vocals roar.

Sabaton is one of very few bands where the lead vocalist isn’t the best singer in the band in a traditional sense. But Joakim’s voice is, on the other hand, fitting for Sabaton’s music and lyrics.

The dedication to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II gets me every time I watch it. She was a remarkable lady who gave herself wholeheartedly to her country and to duty. We will miss her.
I always love Tommy's guitar work... and personally I don't really think Queen should be covered generally speaking, but this is really great.

I saw the video a few hours ago for the first time and had goosebumps immediately when Tommy started to sing. And yes, although I haven't seen Highlander in years, the images were right back in my head and I know what I'll definitely watch this weekend. :)
Of all the covers I know of this song, this one perhaps impresses me the most. A hell of a voice. The only thing I could criticize about this cover is the increased tempo, which I think takes out quite a bit of the dramatic aspect of the original. 🙈 And yet there is still so much of it that I miss in other covers. So, hats off! 🤘🏻

I'm running out of words to describe how good Tommy actually is, spectacular cover. I wish that Brian May sees this cover, because it's one of the best Queen covers I have ever seen and a wonderful tribute. The other movie is Flash Gordon, of course. I know lot of people may not agree, but for me Queen soundtrack is the only good thing about that movie (and I love superhero movies). Highlander, on the other hand , is one of my favorites

Me and my 2 Girls, 10 and 14, went to Sabaon Open Air this year. And och the friday when we went to the consert area, Tommy sat at a caravan just 2meter from ours. And I get a Nice foto whit him and my Girls.😍👊. He is trouly a Nice guy. And big. Did i mention he is big?😁😍❤️

I wonder how much of what we hear is his actual voice and how much is post-production manipulation.
Check out his live performance of ABBA's Money, money, money - Tommy Reinxeed live at Kalmar teater 2016 and you'll have the idea of what his voice sound like live. Tommy is the real deal, he can actually sing. Edit: also, his winning performance of Alone from Swedish karaoke championship 2009
