I'll never forget that moment when I was wandering around the Windmill Village and the Apostle showed up and this theme started. One of my favorite moments in Elden Ring without a doubt.
unfortunately my first encounter with him was in that calid tower, I swear that one out of the rest of them can actually predict when you are about to heal...
From the disturbing celebrants dancing in gorgeous flower laden gowns and golden meadows around burning corpses to that THING we had to fight, genuinely one of the best experiences and certainly one of the most horrifying bosses and fromsoft pulled that off beautifully, absolutely nailed that atmosphere of cult horror.
@@IshootURface At least you could tell when there were "festival-goers" hiding around corners by listening for their singing and deranged laughter. Honestly, me too. This is one of the only songs I actually notice because it starts off strong. Other great pieces in the game that start off slowly I never actually pay attention to during the fight. I mean, these are basically guys who go around killing Gods with black fire, and wearing their skin as clothing. And they were led by a queen who's a demigod. That's pretty badass.
Their goal is to kill gods tho they arent as powerful anymore since blackflame kind of got let just say 'nerfed' now it is still powerful but no where near powerful as it once was.
(SPOILER ALERT) Important thing to note about this song: You find these two apostles in the world alone at first, then together, then together again in a large cathedral room in one of the final areas of the game. They also become deadlier once they reach 50%, which creates an interesting dilemma for the player whether to rush to kill them or keep them above that threshold. The last time you encounter them, a new mechanic is introduced: once the player defeats 1 godskin apostle, the other will resurrect it. The theme from 0:40 to 2:40 plays on a loop until you kill one, but the moment one resurrects the other, the drop at 2:45 occurs. This is one of the most "oh shit" moments in the game and a lot of that is due to this absolutely breathtaking theme and their decision to trigger the track switch at this moment. A great example of how video games can bring out the ability for music to hit even harder when tied to a specific event triggering in-game. Also, the climax of the first 'track' at 2:01 is much slower and more deliberate, but the 2nd track (after the resurrection mechanic is revealed) at 4:24 is much faster and more hectic. The stakes are higher, the fight has much more going on, and your resources are dwindling fast. There are a lot of 'phase changes, music changes' examples in video games but this one is so organic it really resonated with me.
If you're talking about Godskin Duo, it's not exactly that. I was lucky enough to put both of them to sleep with sleep pots in a way that lined them both for a sweet-sweet Rotten Breath, killing one instantly and the other a little bit later To my surprise the game gave me a finger and resurrected one of them after a while. Yes. MoFo just appeared out of thin air. Calling them Duo is a lie, it turned out, since you need to kill like 3.5 apostles to beat the fight And the best tactic is, it seems, to just leave one of them alone (I usually try to not hit the noble, since his stage 2 is very hard to dodge) and focus on the other one
@@nolanstrife7350 Yes thats true, I didn't want to go into too much detail but the resurrection mechanic still goes on if you kill them both at the same time. I believe the music change still happens when the first one gets resummoned though. Congrats on your kill! I've heard sleep works very well on them. I also focused on the skinny one, he is a lot easier to punish in his more powerful phase.
once i reached them in farum azula I just spanked them, going in blind without summons, bs bleed build or some other bs weapons like the moonveil. I heard horror stories about the godskin duo, but I think my 50+ tries vs the skinny guy under caelid's tower when I was low lvl trained me, really like all their fights, fair and enjoyable
@@nolanstrife7350 Funny thing is they were harder for me than any other boss solo, but I decided to do some coop to farm rune arcs since I realised rune arcs were literally just humanities and I hadn't been using them because I didn't understand how they worked, and with another player to tank it was kinda shameful how easy it was to hit both of them at once with comet azur and destroy them almost instantly. I stopped doing coop soon after because I felt like I was either uselessly plinking the boss while the host got shredded or ruining the fight with comet azur, no matter which boss it was. Specifically there was a cutscene for Godfrey so it must have been the host's first attempt, and I figured I could at least rush him to 50% HP or something to offset the larger healthbar since the host summoned two of us, but before my hidden tear wore off he was already dead anyway. Made me feel bad enough that I don't want to touch coop again.
IMO this sounds more like desperation and dread to me, like the feeling of helplessness. These guys (the godskins) in the lore literally skinned people and made clothes out of them, and their goals were to kill and skin gods.
as far as i know the godskin apostles in the lore were followers of the destined death and used it and black flame magic to slay and skin the gods, ultimately they were defeated and the source of their power was sealed away but some of them can still be found in remote locations, usually guarding powerful god-slaying artefacts
I don’t know why, but when the song finally came to that triumphant, overwhelming end and you were like “man that was just amazing,” then just immediately cutting to you saying “The Godskin Apostles are evil, vile, gross creatures of terrifying and disgusting power” just tickled me pink for some reason.
1:33 this is the most iconic piece of the entire Elden Ring soundtrack to me. Something about it is so magical yet so terrifying at the same time. Unforgettable moment in the song
It's like some horribly powerful goddess breaking into your cell to save you from the godskins, only to reveal that she's the one who'll be removing yours.
"There's nothing quite as malignant and malicious and vile and repugnant as the godskin apostles" Rykard: "Hold my unholy living-flesh giant sword as I shower you with the spirits of the damned !"
The part from 01:33 to 02:17 gives me chills every time. Had that in my ear for the whole day when I first encountered them in game :D Another great reaction/discussion! Have a good one!
This one is the second best for me. The best is definitely Mohg, Lord of Blood. Everything about the music, lore and bossfight are perfect! You should give it a try!
Hard to say anything against your comment but imo Godfrey beats it Godfrey is my favorite Boss fromsoftware ever made. But it's hard to say because i want to say this about most major elden ring bosses ...
Your channel has to be my favorite find on TH-cam in ages, music in video games and analyzing them and their meaning to the game and to us has always been a passion of mine but putting those thoughts to those words has always been difficult, so I'm incredibly grateful that you're around and are so amazing at translating those feelings to words!
It’s amazing that Fromsofwares composers can tell the story of their bosses through their music. That’s the sign of exceptional craftsmanship. Cuz you knocked it out of the park when describing these characters at the end, they are vile despicable heretical blasphemous monsters. But also kinda pathetic. They call themselves god skinners but they really only prey on the weak. Any of the Demi-gods could annihilate them. Man, you’re gonna like Rykards theme a lot 😂
@@khangle6872 Game mechanics arent meant to display lore. Leveling and enemy designs within the game are just a neccessary part of the game. But in the story and lore 3 bears arent doing shit to the lightning dragonlord beyond time
I remember seeing the Apostle standing there at the hilltop, and while knowing he didn't seem too formidable looking, he kept getting taller and taller and taller, and with every growing inch, my confidence declined.
That one bar where all the instruments cut and we hear the choir singing an actual hymn in such a heavenly way, then the immediate crash back into the orchestra just blows me away every time
I really recommend to give "Mohg, Lord of Blood" and "Godfrey, First Elden Lord" a listen. They are together with this one my favorites from the soundtrack.
Easily my favorite soundtrack in the entire game Could you add Slave Knight Gael to your list of songs to react to? Also, as a Christian who loves these games thank you for actually understanding what it means to be an apostle
Hey i really enjoy these reactions. As an avid fan of Elden Ring, i've admittedly been mostly following this channel waiting for these Elden Ring videos to drop, but they are always so worth it when they do. The style of reaction and review feels very selfless and whole-heartedly genuine to me, it really deepens my appreciation of these songs when I get to watch someone so enamored and loving of the artform express their passion over a piece that I otherwise may have not given the proper time of day and respect. It turns out that there was a lot of incredible music in this game that I hadn't properly discovered before watching these reacts, and i just want to say thanks and express my support in something a little more tangible than a like button. :)
Hey! Well thank you so much and I’m glad you’re around. I’m trying to keep it fresh and include all music but I really appreciate your kind words and thoughtfulness.
Your anticipatory hand gesture at 2:39 , I felt that. While we anticipate the music to (please don't mind my non-technical language) explode into a bombastic and intense section of the OST, it slowly fades away gently - yet it is just the calm before the storm, both in the OST and the fight - quite literally. Edit: it happens a second time - the moment of anticipation
If you beat the Godskin Apostle in Caelid Divine tower and read the lore of his armor (as well as from other items) you learn that the Blackflame that they use as a weapon was developped by a being called the Dusk Eyed Queen (most likely the queen of this entire Godskin covenant) and that this weapon was made specifically to kill gods. There are two main representant of this faction in the game (not counting minions, only bosses) the Apostle and the Noble, their weapons are called respectively Godskin Peeler and Godskin Stitcher, both of them are able to manipulate the Black Flame. From these informations we can deduce that these guys used to run around burning gods to death with the Black Flame and skinning them to make their suits. I really hope one of Elden Ring's DLC will have them as the center picture with the Dusk Eyed Queen as final boss of that DLC.
I love how you started looking almost emotional at one point, as if the music was touching your heart (sure touched mine lol). Highly recommend giving a listen to Mohg, Lord of Blood OST. Cannot STOP listening to that masterpiece.
The second fav track for me :) 1st has to be Maliketh the Black Blade (due to the lore). If you could give it a personal listen that'd be awesome! I believe Maliketh is just a slower version and deeper but I might be wrong. Cheers!

Love how I can tell this music touches your soul, and that is amazing to see! This is one of my favorite soundtracks , as well as dark souls 3. Beautiful, melodic, amazing orchestras
The higher pitch female voice makes me think of the Apostles and the lower pitch male makes me think of the Nobles, with a song like this I can just imagine them chaining their attacks to it.
you should check out Gehrman The First Hunter, Bloodborne OST and Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower, Also Bloodborne. 2 of the greatest Fromsoft Tracks imo, also Laurence the First Vicar in bloodborne if you want to hear a track with alot of choir.

Been loving the development of this channel. Unsure if you're only really looking for songs with a true opera style or if you're open to anything suggestion wise. I'd love to see you react to Metal Gear Solid 1's "The Best Is Yet To Come" or Metal Gear Solid 4's "Love Theme".
@@MarcoMeatball Thats awesome to hear! Then I will throw one more suggestion at you, Ace Combat Zero - "Zero", It mixes flamenco with certain elements of opera and electronic music in an absolutely beautiful dynamic. Hearing your take on that would be very interesting, I love flamenco personally and its an extremely isolated form of music in my experience, not often does it branch out and mingle with other things and the way they managed it in that track leaves me with such a smile on my face every time. Thanks for all the videos so far regardless!
I think the reasoning behind their name is because they are apostles of the Gloam-Eyed Queen who possessed the Rune of Death. She used this rune to bestow the power of blackflame to the apostles, which they used to slaughter swathes of gods and made robes from their skin.
Everytime I hear this OST, I get PTSD because I remember the countless amount of times I died from Godskin Duo. Eventually, after beating them I had a wave of nostalgia flowing through me because the entire boss fight was a homage to the very first obstacle of Fromsoft games, fighting Ornstein and Smough. Ill never forget this piece just for this sole reason. I recommend Ornstein and Smough's OST too, they sound just as good.
The Godskins are the children of the Gloam-Eyed Queen, the original Godskin and the antithesis of Marika. The Gloam-Eyed Queen was known as an Empyrean, a being born of a single god or has the ability to rival god. Their lore is very little, but the art of the black flame was known as the god killing flame, it's power drew directly from the Rune of Death, or Destined Death. If I had to imagine, the black and white fire we see being used used to look like Death's red flames. The Godskins themselves are powerful, but since Death was locked away, there power has been forever sealed.
If we’re continuing with Elden Ring’s OST, then I also recommend Godfrey’s ost, Malekith’s ost, Rennala’s ost, and Mohg’s ost if you haven’t listened to them yet! Definitely react to Mohg’s ost if you are interested in hearing a more malevolent theme like with the Godskin Apostles. Trust me, Mohg makes the Godskin Apostles sound like saints (lol the irony) both in his lore and in his theme. Also can’t wait to see your reaction to the Demon Souls remake ost like Maiden Astraea, False King Allant, One Who Craves Souls, and Return to Slumber!
I got sucked up by the Iron Maiden thing below the waterwheel in Raya Lucaria Academy and got stuck in volcano manor as many of the doors that open to a site of grace are only opened from the side with the grace, leaving me seemingly no choice but to smack my head against the godskin noble for a few hours. When I was finally out, the sweet release of the green grass, the blue water, the Golden tree, and the White of the academy in Liurnia was such a welcome sight. This song is awesome, though I just think of that dude puffing up and rolling over me
This track is quickly rising up my ranks of favorite in elden ring, it's up there for me with Godrick the grafted and phase 2 of final boss ost. I highly recommend checking out godrick the grafted ost next Marco Edit: also from my understanding the lore of the godskin apostles is something like, they worship an outer God that is all about devouring other gods. They didn't necessarily kill and skin their own God, they just do that to other gods as to worship their own God. Hope that helps :)
Marco, it's not a video game soundtrack, but I really hope that you'll analyze Ikyunnyakana sung by Ikue Asazaki some day. It's a very emotional one, and although I think the emotion it evokes is very straightforward, the singer does it in such a masterful way that I really think is in a whole different league, and I think it'd be eye-opening to hear your analysis of it.
To me, this theme has always sounded as if someone was tasked to fight some form of fallen angel. The tone screams not only this underlying resentment, but of excessive betrayal. As if someone was plotting your downfall and was willing to do whatever it took, use any trick or accumulate any power they needed. The second half and it's intro sound like "triumphant evil" stating that whatever sins they committed in the past, they succeeded. The overture will always be fun to me, because in this part of the game my character had its own development. I used to be a strength warrior, then found solace in fire to wield a magma dragon's weapon. I grew more into fire, molded myself by it. My character even went so far as to consuming the hearts of dragons for mastery over magma and an ulterior form of the same creature slain for the weapon I took. The character even joined apostates to accumulate power with them. A man-serpent at his side, fighting on all fours and belching magma. It was two demons vs two monsters with no humanity in sight. You should listen to God Devouring Serpent from this game and see if Godskin Apostles is still first in thematic repulsiveness.
I was just reading comments from Fortissax video and saw a lot of Godskin recommendations such as mine. Then I thought " he'll surely make it someday 🤔 ". But I never expected you would upload a lot in few minutes. It's 2 a.m. here and I've just clicked on the video after being notifications hehehe. By the way, those apostles in specific do not consume God, they are Godslayers and take their skin as a suit. My recommendation: Gehrman, The First Hunter form Bloodborne and The Abyss Watchers from Dark Souls 3.
As always, great reaction and excellent analysis. Earning your stripes in the field of opera, which draws in a lot of ways on the tradition of liturgical/religious music, really came in clutch here. I'd say that Beast Clergyman is, in a lot of ways, the thematic and melodic counterpoint to Godskin Apostles-- there's a similar sense of the sacred, but it's underpinned by melancholic tragedy and a notion of actual devotion and sacrifice, rather than the rank perversion of the holy that are the Godskin Apostles. Which is a long-winded way of me saying that I can't wait for you to react to Beast Clergyman and Starscourge Radahn lol (honorable mention to Dragonlord Placidusax, as well). If and/or when you make it though the whole of the Elden Ring OST, or at least the bulkier, more substantial tracks, I'd also love to hear an analytical take from you on the themes/strengths of the score as a whole, since I think it gains something in terms of depth when all of the pieces are considered in light of driving towards a central theme, which is something you touched on in your Elden Beast reaction: the tensions between duty, sacrifice, free will, and personal ambitions and desires. I don't know, man; I just love everything about this game, probably way too much.
I’m pretty sure “Godskin” refers to their mission of slaying those that would become the vessel of a god (god’s skin) at the behest of their Gloam Eyed Queen (the child of a god). I’d have to get real deep into lore to explain this, but just thought I would comment to clarify.
@@alphy1894 We know enough to know they served the Gloam Eyed Queen, the black flame draws it's power from the rune of death (meaning someone had ACCESS to it prior to it being sealed in Maliketh), and we know that they don't slay actual gods because the only living god in the lands between is Marika. There's multiple examples of Empyreans undergoing transformations (Godwyn into the weird giant octopus thing, Miquella in his cocoon, and Malenia in her Flower becoming the goddess of rot). I think the Godskins' mission was to kill demigods with the potential to become/birth empyreans.
I adore when the song slows down briefly in the second half, it feels like admist this intense brutal fight they choose to stop just briefly to lament their dead goddess before they channel that loss to put you down.
The PTSD this OST conjures up in me. These heal input reading abominations forced me to summon NPC Bernahl to beat them because I was on the brink of insanity fighting them solo. They were the most repulsive boss in all of ER for me. Ornstein and Smough were champions but these 2 were as you said vile and disgusting! Their armour is also made of the skins of the gods they've slain which explains their name.
I know I just requested this song, but now I really have to request Apocalypsis Magnatus from Final Fantasy 15; Episode Ignis. It's such a beautiful rendition of the Apocalypsis songs from Final Fantasy 15.
I'd love to see you react to Dragonlord Placidusax. His theme is so epic and really conveys the feeling that "this is a massive, powerful ancient beast you're fighting, one that really didn't want to be woken up"
It's always interesting for me to see matching or similar ideas between music reviewers. I watched Davi Vasc's reaction first, and I feel like the two depictions together really bring the whole image into focus. XD
In a lot of ways that is my intention. Davi Is a terrific composer who is able to weave musical analysis in such a beautiful and digestible way. I am an interpreter so I’m going off of what I would clue into to be able to help tell the story. Maybe Davi and I should collab. Ill discuss it with him down the road.
Love all your reactions, I recommend Cosmic Temperance from Loop Hero if you ever get the chance! Actually it would be better to do a loop hero ost reaction since the song is usually progressive in delivery. Though it would have to be a video that purposely puts the music in the right order lol...
My favorite part of any video game music is when they stop being just a background soundtrack and does that "one part" that fully catches your attention independent on what you're doing. When i heard (1:55) at Caelid Divine Tower where i was having a lot of trouble, i stopped paying attention on the godskin boss and i was like "DAMN, you must be a big deal huh? Or at least hiding a big deal" and at the end it made sense since they were keeping a god slaying greatsword
I legit think this is my favourite Elden Ring theme song, that or the main theme. But this sounds like a twisted waltz when it really kicks in. The bells, the violins and the choir just meld so well and they made the song in such a way that I could never tire of it, which is an art in itself and a necessary thing when if comes to game design as you'll likely hear it a lot, whether through deaths or replaying the game so it's got to not drone on.
I wonder if the song has any feeling towards the Gloam Eyed Queen. Fromsoft's lore is so deep and when I listen to your videos its interesting to hear the emotion behind the songs even line up with the games lore. Hawkshaws lore is what I'm familiar with.
I have over 600hrs in Elden Ring. It is a 10/10 game from world design, gameplay, story telling, and OST. I have heard this countless times and it has never failed to give me goosebumps. Absolutely incredible.
You should do a video on Dragonlord Placidusax's song. It is by far my favorite song of the game. If you can find a video with the fighting taking place, you may want to watch that as well. Some things are tied to the music that happen in game.
With lore update the god skin apostles are just but a effect of transmutation and magical artificial intelligence where they are just a vessel to defy the golden order
Lore says that: these are the god, hunters, just like we consume dragon hearts to get dragon powers, they hunt gods, not as necessity but as a hobby, they have literally faces in their robes, so this proves true. Another thing to note is in their powers and their seal, when you have their seal, it boosts the black flames and its name is godslayer seal. As for their power, here is the lore in the game for it: this was literally ferocious flames that were able to kill the very gods, these powers are associated specifically with destined death, but its sacred utility stopped working when the rune of death was stolen fromits place, today faith users can use black flames and although not being able to kill the gods, they still show the ferocity and desire to do so... literally, when you burn somebody, it stays burning for a couple of seconds, like if the fire wants to stay until life is consumed whole. We can also see that apostles have an alliance with a certain lord, who's goal is to "Consume the very gods". As they have the same goals, they worked together, they were so close that parts of the apostles reveal a serpent tail, a signature symbol of this lord, meaning that the conducted experiments and just like you said, sacrifice everything to obtain more power. For the lord they were useful for his goal to consume the very gods, and for the apostles their alliance was necessary as the lord had another tool to achieve the same effect that their flames had.
Honestly in game the black flame is solid incantation as they deal a % total health burn effect after the initial hit great against enemies or boss with massive HP or in co-op since bosses will have more hp.

as far as i know the godskin apostles in the lore were followers of the destined death and used it and black flame magic to slay and skin the gods, ultimately they were defeated and the source of their power was sealed away but some of them can still be found in remote locations, usually guarding powerful god-slaying artefacts
If I recall they basically misunderstand their original deity "Gloomy eye Queen" and just become a perverted version of who they were?
4:07 yet again FromSoft makes every theme sound like it should be the final boss.
Oh, you think it's over? You have like 20 more including mini bosses lol
That's ridiculous! There wasn't even a sad piano in this one!
I don’t know why, but when the song finally came to that triumphant, overwhelming end and you were like “man that was just amazing,” then just immediately cutting to you saying “The Godskin Apostles are evil, vile, gross creatures of terrifying and disgusting power” just tickled me pink for some reason.
Good 😂
1:33 this is the most iconic piece of the entire Elden Ring soundtrack to me. Something about it is so magical yet so terrifying at the same time. Unforgettable moment in the song
It's like some horribly powerful goddess breaking into your cell to save you from the godskins, only to reveal that she's the one who'll be removing yours.
"There's nothing quite as malignant and malicious and vile and repugnant as the godskin apostles"
Rykard: "Hold my unholy living-flesh giant sword as I shower you with the spirits of the damned !"

Another great reaction/discussion! Have a good one!
It’s 3:14 for me
Amazing part, too!
Mohg, Radagon, Radahn, Malenia, Margit, Godfrey/Hoarah Loux and Godrick are some of the Elden Ring soundtracks I recommend you try too!
Godfrey and Margit .... Oh man ....
(Spoilers)
Can’t forget the smelvin beast
Just say that every single soundtracks are worth listening at this point because they definitely are!
Fire Giant is also a good one.
Yeah radagon of the golden orchestra my favourite composer
This one is the second best for me. The best is definitely Mohg, Lord of Blood. Everything about the music, lore and bossfight are perfect! You should give it a try!
Mohg's theme goes so ridiculously hard. Half the reason why he's my favorite boss I've fought so far.
Hard to say anything against your comment but imo Godfrey beats it
Godfrey is my favorite Boss fromsoftware ever made. But it's hard to say because i want to say this about most major elden ring bosses ...
@@Randybobandy024 everything I've seen of Godfrey makes me all the more excited to get there. Currently working my way through Elphael at the moment.
NIHIL
How the lore has changed..
Man, you’re gonna like Rykards theme a lot 😂
they literally did skin demi-gods by the dozens until Maliketh stopped them
@@MrTeddy12397 So there’s other demi gods besides the ones in game? Interesting
Consider Placidusax lost to 3 rune bear, i think the godskin duo got high chances of defeating a demigod lol
@@khangle6872 Game mechanics arent meant to display lore. Leveling and enemy designs within the game are just a neccessary part of the game. But in the story and lore 3 bears arent doing shit to the lightning dragonlord beyond time
where does it say they prey on the weak? Give me the item that says that.
I remember seeing the Apostle standing there at the hilltop, and while knowing he didn't seem too formidable looking, he kept getting taller and taller and taller, and with every growing inch, my confidence declined.
i am a very mature person

That one bar where all the instruments cut and we hear the choir singing an actual hymn in such a heavenly way, then the immediate crash back into the orchestra just blows me away every time
I really recommend to give "Mohg, Lord of Blood" and "Godfrey, First Elden Lord" a listen. They are together with this one my favorites from the soundtrack.
Godfrey’s theme is prob the most epic piece of music I’ve ever heard
Godfrey's theme is definitely insane. His and Fortissax's are my favorite themes and make those boss fights so memorable
Why is no one talking about Godrick's theme?
@@ДмитрийФедоров-т3ф this guy has already heard godrick a lot
Easily my favorite soundtrack in the entire game
Could you add Slave Knight Gael to your list of songs to react to?
Also, as a Christian who loves these games thank you for actually understanding what it means to be an apostle
As annoying as some of these bosses may be, this soundtrack was just SO good. Definitely my favourite in the game.
i love the godskin apostles, but the nobles can go fight malenia
I love the lil tragic sounding trumpet popping in shortly after 3:40
The choir in this one 🙈❤️
They are delightful, are they not?
Gives me conniptions…
Your anticipatory hand gesture at 2:39 , I felt that. While we anticipate the music to (please don't mind my non-technical language) explode into a bombastic and intense section of the OST, it slowly fades away gently - yet it is just the calm before the storm, both in the OST and the fight - quite literally.
Edit: it happens a second time - the moment of anticipation
the fight, the music and the environment is all BANGER, i LOVE Godskin Apostles
There was an interesting theory that Melina is that queen
@@Lele_Zss I subscribe to this theory. Frenzied Flame ending to me confirms it.
Mans went and did it! So glad I found this channel.
I love how you started looking almost emotional at one point, as if the music was touching your heart (sure touched mine lol).

Mohg for me
Then Godrick
1.) godfrey
2.) mogh
3.) godskin :)
@@platonios4666 Godrick is just disturbing, but really good to listen out of context. Because in the fight, personally, I don't have time to listen I'm busy dying or killing LMAO Also it is very similar to Ludwig in BB.

The higher pitch female voice makes me think of the Apostles and the lower pitch male makes me think of the Nobles, with a song like this I can just imagine them chaining their attacks to it.
I cried so many times with Elden Ring, I feel alive again playing it, everything this game has to offer has so much Soul and Passion.
This has to be one of the best music pieces I've ever heard in a game. The English translation is something else lol.

Love MGS this channel is for all games :) I appreciate the support!
I’ll never forget that one moment I was going through farum Azula out of nowhere godskin duo just came you hear the theme and get deleted
Miyazaki san : this is not the main boss but quite important to backstory of the lore.
the composser : YES, GOT IT. YESSSSSSSS
Amazing Reaction. I really enjoyed this 😍
This is my most favorite OST from Elden Ring. I love it so much 😎
I love how into the song you got lol, this one of my favs on the OST
Do not forget Godricks OST
I got sucked up by the Iron Maiden thing below the waterwheel in Raya Lucaria Academy and got stuck in volcano manor as many of the doors that open to a site of grace are only opened from the side with the grace, leaving me seemingly no choice but to smack my head against the godskin noble for a few hours. When I was finally out, the sweet release of the green grass, the blue water, the Golden tree, and the White of the academy in Liurnia was such a welcome sight.
This song is awesome, though I just think of that dude puffing up and rolling over me
i love the intro you gave to the video i didnt really even know what it meant great explainations
As a fans of Symphonic metal music i really like this bossfight and music.
This track is quickly rising up my ranks of favorite in elden ring, it's up there for me with Godrick the grafted and phase 2 of final boss ost. I highly recommend checking out godrick the grafted ost next Marco
Edit: also from my understanding the lore of the godskin apostles is something like, they worship an outer God that is all about devouring other gods.
Well I love your reaction on this one and the story you told after the music is 100% accurate good job 👏
I mean, missing by about 3 zip codes isn't exactly accurate, but still, it definitely paints a pretty picture.
So glad you actually did godskin duo (godskin apostle is only the first part)
This song is like a crowd howling to the skies, lamenting but also demanding
I was just reading comments from Fortissax video and saw a lot of Godskin recommendations such as mine. Then I thought " he'll surely make it someday 🤔 ". But I never expected you would upload a lot in few minutes. It's 2 a.m. here and I've just clicked on the video after being notifications hehehe.
By the way, those apostles in specific do not consume God, they are Godslayers and take their skin as a suit.
My recommendation: Gehrman, The First Hunter form Bloodborne and The Abyss Watchers from Dark Souls 3.
The back to back upload omg. Never realised how good this track it when playing it myself.
Was feeling crazy
This track gives me shivers every single time I hear it. Every. Time. Actual artistic mastery on display.
that part where it goes all quiet, and then the thunderous choir comes back in, thats the bets part man.
After Godskin adepts and Black flames is one of the most mysterious things on the game, because we have legit very low number of elements of lore
I think the Godskins' mission was to kill demigods with the potential to become/birth empyreans.
all the music is spot on, perfection
I adore when the song slows down briefly in the second half, it feels like admist this intense brutal fight they choose to stop just briefly to lament their dead goddess before they channel that loss to put you down.
The PTSD this OST conjures up in me. These heal input reading abominations forced me to summon NPC Bernahl to beat them because I was on the brink of insanity fighting them solo. They were the most repulsive boss in all of ER for me. Ornstein and Smough were champions but these 2 were as you said vile and disgusting! Their armour is also made of the skins of the gods they've slain which explains their name.
I love how in every thumbnail he looks like he's seeing God. Very fitting for this boss
this is the best reaction I have ever seen
I know I just requested this song, but now I really have to request Apocalypsis Magnatus from Final Fantasy 15; Episode Ignis. It's such a beautiful rendition of the Apocalypsis songs from Final Fantasy 15.
I'd love to see you react to Dragonlord Placidusax. His theme is so epic and really conveys the feeling that "this is a massive, powerful ancient beast you're fighting, one that really didn't want to be woken up"
1:32 gives me physical chills every time. I don't even understand why, but I love it so much.
I just got this video on recomended and I must say you are getting new sub from me 😁
Thank you!
Ill discuss it with him down the road.
i wish that i see the Orchestra version of this 🥲
No wonder Eldin Ring got 10/10 it's a masterpiece
Love all your reactions, I recommend Cosmic Temperance from Loop Hero if you ever get the chance! Actually it would be better to do a loop hero ost reaction since the song is usually progressive in delivery. Though it would have to be a video that purposely puts the music in the right order lol...
It's really interesting to watch how professionals or near-professionals react to music with their gesticulation and other move, good vid)

Monolith Agnus Dei from Ace Combat 4. It’s gorgeous
“The gods had their age of splendor, now it is humanity who will determine their individual fates in spite of the divine’s decree.”
Thanks for reacting to this! Also a great excuse to listen to the song again!
Have you seen the translations of the lyrics? They're insane, its all "give me your skin, i want your skin"
Perhaps a revisit 😒
At the melody at 1:33 sounds so much like the music for Jerusalem in the Directors Cut of Kingdom of Heaven
It will come in like three elden ring videos. I have a few more to do.
Honestly in game the black flame is solid incantation
as they deal a % total health burn effect after the initial hit
great against enemies or boss with massive HP or in co-op since bosses will have more hp.
It's Kenneth Copeland's theme
I love that you can pick on the lore of these guys just from the music. Fromsoft knows how to do themes and scoring
