Well actually in the Third and Final Film, Doc stated the DeLorean's Engine from the very beginning had ran on Regular Gasoline from the start, the Nuclear Reactor and Mr. Fusion were there only to power the Time Machine.
So yeah, it would realistically make sense that you'd need to top up a Time Machine Car on Gasoline.

"This car doesn't take fuel" the whole third movies was about the car being out of gas

Same here marty ripped the fuel line the mr fusion garbage thing only powered the time and flight circuits
Well, to be honest, they DID technically retcon that because in the first movie Marty asks if it runs on "regular, unleaded gasoline" and Doc replies "no, it requires something with a little more kick. Plutonium". So we were all led to believe that it somehow ran on plutonium and later Mr. Fusion. I suppose the writers probably meant to make the time machine seem much more futuristic and that a regular combustion engine would make it seem less so (though the sound team did dub in the sound of a beefy V8 :P).
I wouldn't argue if someone still thought it didn't run on gas because just like the "jigawatt" mistake, it's what we were given :D

Got to the end of this vid and it really surprised me of how well the role players went along with it, it was probably the most best and interesting to em, it was like a whole movie 😱

When he states it doesn’t need gas, he got it wrong in the third movie. When Marty tore a hole in the gas tank, doc states Mr. fusion powers, the flux capacitor, and the time circuits. The ordinary driving capability is powered by a regular gas motor in this part of the series we should’ve seen the second movie DeLorean

As Doc explains to Marty in BTTF3: Mr Fusion only runs the flux capacitor. the rest of the car runs on regular gasoline. without gasoline they'll never be able to get up to 88 mph.

3:23 Back to the future 3 is about that that the delorean cant go back to the future because it has no gasoline. So they stole a steam train, pushed the delorean until it reached 141 kph (88 mph) and so came Marty McFly back to 1985 (garbage (or plutonium) is also important)

Facinating thing is the reason for the 88 miles per hour speed for the time machine is because that was literally the top speed the delorian could reach.
