I didnt find Billing telling Meadows that he has The Syndrome out of left field. He told Bernard and Sims last season and they made an exception for him. I believe he is just not trying to hide it anymore and told Meadows as a step toward being more open about his condition.
I have been saying all along it's probably not supposed to be radiation poisoning because that's not how it acts. I still believe that, and now that Solo confirms the dust blowing in killed them, it has to be a chemical. If they have drugs that make people forget, they are advanced when it comes to chemicals. We still haven't seen some of the scenes in the "sneak preview" so I believe Solo will help Jules make a suit to go in the water. Also, remember George saying the water wasn't a problem? Maybe there's a way to pump it out or something. Otherwise, it was something on the hard drive George saw and that means Solo could know.
There are 50 silos, each about 10k people, so a population of about 490k people (minus silo 17). Can’t wait to see what happens when Meadows goes out. I think Bernard is going to try to give her the killer tape, but she’s one step ahead and will make sure she gets the good tape. Solo’s gonna FREAK…OUT… if meadows shows at 17. OMG.. can’t wait o see that.
That's one of my theories, that Meadows makes it to Silo 17, and shares info with Juliette & Solo. And, depending on the condition of Meadows' suit, Juliette could make alterations and use it to secretly return to Silo 18. I have NOT read the books, and I'm really hoping that Juliette returns to Silo 18 without Bernard knowing; and tips the balance of power in favor of the rebels.

folks if there are 50 silos there must be a main control one where all other 49 are watched from. like a control room where all brass wud be in. This is the only way for the entire operation towork as intended. Those who are from control silo can control events in each and every other, I suspect Mr. Server room chief is in contact with the main silo brass.

I love the atmosphere in ep.1 (Alice in Wonderland) and glad to see that this atmosphere came back in episode 3. (ep.2 was junk). In Japanese anime, their version of Alice would usually be sexually abused by the hentai guy or the monsters in the wonderland. In ep.3, they implied that Solo is likely a hentai guy so... it is going to happen on Alice..... which is what I have been expecting to see in this series.
I think the Great Unknown is Solo. My gut tells me that he is lying to Juliette--and that he was never Russell's Shadow in Silo 17's IT. One possibility is that Solo was one of the people trying to get into the Silo 17 Vault--and he succeeded. Killing whomever was inside, and locking himself in the vault, where apparently there is the means to grow/create food and water to survive without having to come outside the vault. Even taking into account that he's been alone for many years, does Solo seem to have the intelligence to be selected as the Shadow for the IT Leader of a silo? I don't think so; Solo is too naive. There also continues to be the possibility that Juliette & Solo are not alone in the Silo. There were more camera angle shots of Juliette in this episode that suggests someone is watching her. And, of course, Juliette (and the viewers) suspects that the rope was cut, when Juliette made her first attempt to cross from one side of Silo 17 to where Solo is. Who could it be? Is there a still operational camera--that connects to a Silo System HQ outside of the Silo? Has the REAL IT Shadow been locked out for years by Solo? As some fans have suggest, has the Silo System Leadership sent assassins to eliminate anyone who visits Silo 17? Remember: Bernard KNOWS that around 25 years ago there was an uprising in Silo 17. Which strongly suggests that there is a silo-to-silo communication system, and overall "authority" of the system. Oh, and if that's true--as logic suggests--then WHY isn't Solo connected to this inter-silo communication system if he's the Real IT Shadow? Very sketchy. Finally, your video review slightly referenced the book. The tv show creator repeatedly states that he is CHANGING plot points from what's in the book, so besides it being a Spoiler, referencing the book may not have any relevance to what we see in each episode. We're watching a NEW story.

Good pick-up. There are some types of bird that don’t fly, e.g. silkie chickens, emus, etc. And some chicken breeds are more likely to fly than others. But they all lay eggs. You do raise a good point though!
