Jesus will one day rule over a new heaven and earth. He is looking for folks to rule with him. Will you leave sin to follow Christ?

+geraldreynolds psalm 96:5, "all the gods of the nations are worthless idols but the Lord made the heavens." God says He's the only God. Therefore, you are not God.
You are not the grounding for the preconditions of intelligibility. Therefore, you are not God.

Why do you mock Religion? You see if you mock Religion it's no wonder this world is falling into Sin, You guys want to get rid of Morals.
Jesus Christ proved himself in History to be God, You use the word blindly to mock Religion, and my other question is, If you hate the idea of Religion, Why do you watch about it and comment???? You must really want to believe.

Why does Jesus teach us to pray thy kingdom come thy will be done if Gods will is always done already?

That is a good and valid question. The answer is this: God ordains the ends as well as the means. We can also ask, "Why does God give the Great Commission when all who are elect will without fail be saved anyway?'" The answer is the same: God ordains not only that the elect will without fail be saved, but he has also ordained the means through which that will occur, which is the proclamation of the gospel.
      Hope that helps. God bless!

If by election it means God only picks some to grace with enabling faith, how is the Gospel good news to anyone other than the elec? How can we preach the gospel in sincerity to anyone if we have no way of knowing who is elect? If God commands all to repent and offers only some the ability how is that not disingenuous?

+L Morter (Leadea777) I guess the person I responded to removed his response. Oh well.

      I'm still here!
Again, good questions. I am concerned we are losing focus of the amazing thing, though. As fallen creatures, our shock should not be that God has chosen some to be saved, but that he will save anyone at all! As James White so aptly put it, the amazing thing is not "Esau I hated," but "Jacob I loved"!
To answer your questions, the gospel is not *just* good news, it is also an "aroma that brings death" (2 Cor. 2:16). God uses the gospel as good news to the elect but condemnation to all else, because by rejecting it they seal their own fate. However, as you mentioned, we don't know who the elect are, so we are to preach it as good news to everyone, knowing, however, that not all will accept it. To those who do, it is good news; to those who do not, it is their demise and damnation.
And, the fact that God commands something that we cannot do is most certainly not disingenuous, for it is not God's fault that we rebel. The entirety of Scripture is full of commands that we cannot obey outside the awakening that comes from the Spirit. All we can do is sin, until God regenerates us (Rom. 8:8). So, no, it is not disingenuous; it is the command of a holy God who demands that his creatures be holy, as well. It is a genuine command that God genuinely demands be obeyed.
