Why in the UK do rappers flex houses the size of what the lower class live in within the US? In Texas that SVR rover would be worth more than that whole property... the back yard (garden) is sooo tiny, the driveway has no space, and the hallways/rooms look like they'd give the average American claustrophobia. I just moved from the US to the UK 4 months ago. I'm really not tryna be a smart ass, this is a genuine question. Is it really expensive to buy a home that size here? What is the reasoning behind everything being so small?

That makes the houses more expensive to make, therefore to make sure people make profits they cost more. Which is ironic to think out as you would've thought house in the US would've been made out of bricks and stronger materials as they do have all the storms and hurricanes. But yes the reason everything is so expensive is because the houses are built to be sturdy and last a long time. Unlike American houses which are made from wood and get destroyed by the first storm or hurricane it comes across

@@archieeast1477 I did some research and in the UK after currency exchange rates you’d on average pay 6 TIMES the cost for the same amount of space you would in the US. I understand the structure of the homes is built to last 100+ years, but 6x the price seems a bit excessive. The UK has a population of only roughly 10% of that of the US so the UK being a smaller country shouldn’t matter in a sense of property cost.
I also did some research on vehicles. In the UK the numerical cost in £ of all of the cars in this video is HIGHER than the cost in $ for US buyers. That means once you add in the exchange rate EVERY car in this video cost about 1.5x the cost in the US. Which there’s absolutely NO LOGIC in that being that the production countries of these vehicles is quite a shorter distance for shipment and customs than the US.
All in all…. I realized one thing. The UK literally just be taxing the fuck out of its own people for everything. A tax on properties, a tax on window screen, a damn “luxury tax” for door knobs, a damn tax to watch TV, a tax to drive, a tax to even rent property, tax on sodas, tax on petrol, an insane tax on vehicles that are imported from other countries. In fact all of the taxes that are caused by imports into the UK are then turned and put on the consumers by the companies.
I definitely see why the Americans tipped the tea in the harbor now….
