Yeah you are so right, this will be my next thing I try to improve on, I tried with the script but I think I need some visual stuff like maybe text or a title break with text
personally, I'm not really fond of dropshotting, but fortunately, I haven't come across that many people that use it if it needs to be nerfed someday, I think a good aproach would be that your gun un-ads's the moment you go prone
Bro, thank YOU for making these videos, long or short. I have always been bad at shooters but have fun playing either way. Your tips and tricks have made me objectively 200% better at battlebit than when I first started. I'm dying less and killing more and my KDR is up from .7 to 1.3 and ever rising. Your content is absolute gold. You're the best Wong, keep it up homie. If you see "CaptainDaddy" out there on the battlefield, give me a holler.
I really like the points you make in your videos because they are very well explained in a very honest way. It comes out so clear I love it, keep it up man. I personally abuse to much the dropshot, almost like instantly, is a reflex. I know I need to work more on my position so I can get more kills rather than depending on someone having worst aim, yeah
People seem to get so mad at dropshotting in this game! I even had a lean spammer who was topping the board trash me over VOIP and ragequit over it 😂 perhaps in other more realistic games I can understand, but in BB my head is a giant block just asking to be headshotted. Often I find myself to be a sitting duck if I miss my shot and end up just eating bullets. Great video as is your standard and I'll definitely start applying some of these tactics. Hope to see you in-game one day! AK's for everyone!
You have such a deep understanding of gunfights and competitive engagements in general, really enlightening to listen to you. Hope you get a lot more subs.
I personally feel that dropshotting is not a big issue but they probably should iron out the prone animations or make it so there is a small delay as you lay down or get up so it cant be abused. I mostly use dropshotting when playing as support because i feel like my usual tactic of spamming A + D and leaning works less when I am that slow, so I think its a more valuable tech to do when movement is limited.
I honestly don't want them to change anything about the movement cause I love that there's finally a game that let's the players so much freedom when it comes to movement.

CodMobile used to have the dropshotting/sprint mechanic back in the day and they had to nerf movement in general bc of that, it was a really strong "bug" lmao.
Idc about drop shotting unless the frequency is ridiculous. Something to consider with these movements is how they feel from 1st person pov, im thinking maybe a temporarily increased hitbox while sprint standing could balance the move without making it feel sluggish
If its been a movement tech in other video games it surely shouldn't be such an issue as I dropshot myself from time to time. However the way you discussed the final parts of the vid does make feel it may be balanced in a way that it isn't abused as much as it is now. Regardless tho, appreciate the content, keep up the good work 👌
I know you don't recommend binding lean to a and d along with your side to side movement, but I've been doing this for the last week and it's been a game changer. Trying to move my middle finger to hit Q and E is so awkward and I really haven't found many situations where I wouldn't want to lean if I'm moving left or right anyway.
I personally like the dropshotting and fast movement out of prone, it heightens the skill sealing imo and rewards people that want to play aggressive and run around the map a lot
Personally, i like dropshotting, though i typically only 'abuse' it when i am low health and need to do something to win a gunfight, i could see why someone dislikes it if an enemy is using it almost every gunfight. I also think a discord would be cool!
I like the drop-shotting, and how quick you can lean, it always disappoints me when devs remove stuff like that, because it just removes depth, turing each fight into pretty much the same moment to moment fight which gets stale, even if there is a perceived unfairness, great video!
It would be cool if you do a flanking tutorial or a placement tutorial (something in these lines). I often play walking simulator on Battlebit against my will. Walking, seeing nobody, dying from an enemy behind me and walking again. I didn't get any experience by playing without guidance, so any tips to improve terrain awareness and placement would be extremely helpful.
I would be super interested to know how both movement speed % and movement in guns affect each other. For example does a gun with .89 speed with 100% speed (light armor) goes as fast as 1.15 speed with the 95% (ranger armor). How do pistol affect the overall soeed of your character when holstered?
Good to know thanks! On my side I tried to test things but changes are hard to see. That might mean that 1x of the guns is a multiplier. So 95% X 1.15 or 100% X .89
I dont see dropshotting as an issue, its no different then any other movement tech in this game. Only useful in certain scenarios. People get pissed about it because they've just been outplayed.
I like drop shotting. Very often people complain about dying to being dropshotted, I guess its like a cod meme? I rarely die to being dropshotted for some reason. Unless I am already dead before I see their animation
I really think inertia would be nice to have in the game. And another thing I really want, is the bullets spawning from the barrel of the gun. It would fit into it's arcade milsim hybrid more.
Hey, so you can actually bind lean to your literal mouse movement (ex move mouse left and lean left) buy swiping the mouse in either direction on the X or Y axis in the keybinds menu. Can be jank though when aiming.
ehh idk, in real life you can hold down the trigger of a fully automatic weapon while dropping to your stomach, so if anything it's unrealistic to clunk up battlebit's smooth movements. i think the biggest problem with battlebit is that it doesn't know what niche it's trying to fill. is it a skill-based movement shooter? is it a tactical milsim? is it a fun arcade-y casual experience? i feel like battlebit devs really need to think about where they want to take the game, and pick a side
@@jadonlimoges1830 Wrong. Certain mechanics in games can be widely abusable, and or just not fit the niche of that particular game. Your one size fits all perspective is whackadoo, and you are in turn... a dingaling.
you should get noise reduction on your mic, you have a fair amount of background noise bleed, NVIDIA Broadcast or in AMD's gpu software has one, Steelseries Sonar (clearcast noise suppression), and the one I personally use Werman's RN Noise removal, can just be added as a VST in OBS, or injected in your actual mic with EqualizerAPO.
Learned a lot from this video, but I do have one question to ask. How do I play "consciously"? One problem I've always had was my inability to strategize, plan, and just think while playing. Best description is that it feels like I'm on a permanent autopilot, only reacting to what's happening around me, not taking in what's happening and planning accordingly. This became very apparent when I started attempting to learn passive aim. It takes a lot from me just to remember to try to passively aim since I'm my gameplay is just... doing. No thinking, just doing. Results in trying to passively aim, then forgetting, then remembering to do it again, then forget again, it's an endless cycle of remembering (at least I'm training my memory, lol). Since I've already learned a lot from your videos, I do wonder if you have any tips on overcoming autopilot? If not, that's fine, just curious. Regardless of the question, great video. Definitely gonna start engaging with a lean, and I may or may not phase through some people and dropshot too. Sounds absolutely twisted, wicked even. Perhaps this is the beginning of my villain arc, my journey towards being the sweatiest man alive.
Well honestly in all shooters even at the highest levels majority of play is all intuition and muscle memory, you pretty much wanna have a few bad games trying to learn and consciously applying new things and then you actually do want to fall back into autopilot, and just do that process as many times as it takes, let me know if this was helpful and if not I might have to make a video talking about this
I totally feel that dude. Even harder to get into the habit when you have ADHD haha. What has really helped me is trying to remember when I have a bad play, instead of getting mad at the player that killed me, I take a second to think about why I died and why my opponent had the upper hand on me. Then I try applying that knowledge in my next life. That alone has helped me "reprogram" myself to play more consciously as second nature.
@@captaindaddy69420 Good point. The goal is probably just to keep trying until conscious gaming becomes habit. There are always mental barriers of course, myself being included, but you can always try your best.
It takes hundreds of hours, even thousands to make the skills you're employing on a moment to moment basis totally unconscious. While you're thinking about positioning, watching for the enemy, keeping track of your tm8s, passively aiming at the greatest potential threats, etc etc etc, you've got no room left for strategy and tactics. Eventually you stop having to think about all that stuff, and you have more room to actually think.
Idk why but I have this bad habit of jumping before dropshotting : it makes my head at chest level for a long period of time and makes me lose a bunch of fights
