Count Arthur Strong, showbiz legend and raconteur, reminds us just what we've been missing since his last television series, 'The Robin Hood Club’, was axed in 1960 something. With the added bonus of previously unreleased footage from Arthur's career - ranging from Desk Sergeant in Dixon of Doc Green, to the one time host of Ask The Family - and a rumour of a surprise start guest appearance, the celebration of Arthur's illustrious career is a show not to miss.
As Arthur himself says, "Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could just turn the telly on after a hard day at the abattoir...or whatever it is you do... and there I was, smiling back at you, in my own programme again, again.”

Its the relentlessness of it. I start off chuckling and end up in hystrics.
It's not that well known but Count Arthur once attempted to get in the Guiness Book of records by drinking 12 pints of Guiness in a minute. Unfortunately his attempt failed as he could manage not quite a pint. "Still, as they're now poured I will work my way through them as best I can. A couple of packets of squeezy onion crisps to go with them would be very much depreciated" said Arthur. What a hero, I really do.
I love Count Arthur Strong, I have just bought the radio series, real priceless gems, even though they had prices on them.
I found Count Arthur by accident. I think he is the funniest person I have ever seen. He comes over much funnier on radio I don't think the cast or main situation in the cafe helped. But I have every radio show his books and specials except for Xmas which I ordered but they are rare and I think you will be lucky to get it. I listen to him nearly every day and have never tired of him. Please please please Count Arthur do some more radio shows.
