Rather than restore 20% sp and hp, I rather they rework it become an attack move like venomshank but its only work for the front enemy like normal sword do, it only deals 2 dmg giving Lv1 freeze debuff for 1 turn so 3 overall dmg and it can restore 1 hp and sp, this is good and better because its do dmg and heal but not that overpower and still mostly balance for chapter 2 enemy. (Plus venomshank is still better bc its do 5 overall dmg to all enemy)
Tbh its quite unfair that cruel king gets to use the good version of ice dagger instead of getting one that can hardly heal you... unless you didnt invest much on hp upgrades...
King's heal is literally ice dagger from demo 1. If they nerfed our dagger, they should nerf his heal as well, to not cure debuffs, to not give defense buff and to heal a low % of max hp (minions only get healed like 1-2 hp, king could restore maybe like 3-9 hp, depending on party size).
They should make swords upgradable, by rematching their bosses in nirvana. They start off weak, near useless, but get more powerful the more you rematch their correlated boss.

I think icedagger really needs the defense buff, mostly because that defense would come from the ice portion. I also think it’s less useful now compared to when it had a defense buff. I think the proper stats should be 15/10% regen, and a 2/3 defense buff.
